You smiled and began singing softly as you held each other. It was a quiet wizard lullaby that your father sang to you as a child. You could barely remember your birth father but you knew his voice. You felt at peace and like the world was just melting away. Suddenly, Fawkes appeared in the window with a letter. It was from Dumbledore. Addressed to you both. 

Severus quickly got up and opened the letter, heart beating nervously now. He was so very worried,Dumbledore had found out. He was toast.

Severus and Mr. Black,

I would like to see you both in my office promptly. Don't fret, you're not in trouble or under fire. Regardless I'd like a chat.

You looked at Severus nervously and bit your lip, tears welling up in fear. "We...we should go see him then. To find out what it's about."

Severus nodded softly and set the letter down, giving a soft shaky sigh. "Lets go than.." You took his hand and squeezed it. "Hey it'll be ok. Dumbledore is a good man. Come on Severus." You opened the door shakily. Dumbledore waited with Neville in his office. He had explained his fate, knowing that Harry was no longer the boy who lived. It was Neville who must defeat Voldemort. With friends help of course.  Severus nodded and the two of you walked out, walking down the vast halls towards Dumbledore's office.

You whispered the password and you walked together up the marble stair case. You both greeted the head master upon entering. "You wanted to see us headmaster?" You spoke quietly with fear

"Ah! Good your here. I need your help but I have to wait for the other two. They're coming I believe unless they are still mating." Dumbledore gives zero shits

Severus raised an eyebrow curiously,"Other two?.."

Dumbledore popped a lemon candy in his mouth and nodded. "Yes Professor Lupin and Moon. I have a request for you all. Rather an important mission of sorts. If you're worried about that I know of you two, don't be. (Y/N) is of full age and you're my friend. I'm glad to see you're happy Severus." He smiled whimsically

You breathed a sigh of relief and they could see all worry float off your tense body, now relaxed.
Dumbledore spoke again in a more serious tone. "I will of course alert the staff so they may be kind and understanding, Atleast Flitwick and Minerva. Although it's best if you keep private as you can. Students may be alarmed. I'm not a fan of angry parents." He chuckled. "I will be appointing (Y/N) as your assistant for you to keep eachother safe in these dark times as well as he needs to get his grades up in potions and it might help to be teaching with you if he wants to graduate."

Luna said the password and hurried up the steps of Dumbledore's office,knocking on the door in case. Severus turned and let the two in, tapping his foot impatiently as he stood to the side. "They're here now,Headmaster.."You wanted so badly to hold Severus's hand but between the shocked Neville at learning his fate and the new teachers, you knew it would be inappropriate. "Hello professors."Remus waved and smiled nervously, holding Lunas hand.  

  Dumbledore smiled and offered them a candy before putting them away. "It's seems that we were wrong. Harry is not the boy who lived. Harriet is a girl. Therefore the fate falls upon Neville here. I've asked you all to join because I have a very grave request for you all. Voldemort is on the rise and needs to be stopped. He has hidden 6 horcruxes. Harriet destroyed the diary last year so there is now four, not counting the one I have found and am working on destroying. Remus, Severus, as trusted members of the order I ask you to follow Neville on his journey. Help him. It's bound to take atleast a year. He is young but it is dire. Luna, you are both Remus's mate and Neville trusts you. I ask you to go along with to lend some...protective maternal care at times and to keep professor Lupin sane. (Y/N), I'm appointing you to Severus's assistant here at school. You will graduate early and take the test next week. You have soaring intelligence I have no doubt you will succeed. You both have my blessing. (Y/N) is a well trained wizard and skilled at charms. Hopefully he can be of help and comfort."

You stood in awe and shock, staring at Severus then Dumbledore

Luna's eyes immediately went wide,"Neville's only a boy,Headmaster..I understand this is his fate but hes only a boy.."She gently rested her hand on Neville's shoulder, her own heart beating nervously in her chest.

Severus crossed his arms over his chest, leaning against of the walls and perching his pointed chin on his fist. He knew better than to argue with Dumbledore,"There is no point arguing,Moon."

Dumbledore sighed. "Yes I understand. Which is why I have you all to help him. He will begin to have visions of where they are. All you need to do is work together to destroy them. It's daunting but I believe in you. And him. Neville is a strong boy." He smiled warmly at him.

  You spoke up shyly. "If I may put my input, Neville is smart and strong. He would be top of his class if others, himself included, believed in him."

Remus nodded and spoke up. "That's true I've seen him. No matter old he is he will never be prepared. Might as well do it now while he has us to protect him. "

Luna sighed softly and nodded,"I suppose you are correct,Remus..It must happen then.."She said quietly, her stomach churning like a worried mother.

Severus turned to look at Dumbledore,"Whats the full plan than,Headmaster.."He needed to know so he could prepare to the best of his abilities.

Neville looked up at Luna, no longer worried or scared. "It's ok professor. I know what has to be done. Maybe now my family will finally be proud of me and I can restore the Longbottom name. I can avenge my parents." He smiled softly and squeezed Luna's hand.

Remus stood in the corner, thinking to himself and how they were all going to deal with this. (Y/N) is atleast 17 but they're both just kids. He remembered the times he and the Marauders got into mischief and smiled.

You nodded and sat in front of Severus in a chair. Your mind raced. Happy that they were supported and they could be together, scared and sick to your stomach about the hardships they were all going to go through. And most of all, terrified for your exams and praying you would pass ok. You didn't want to leave your home.

Dumbledore sighed and turned in his chair, thinking before explaining his plan. "(Y/N) and Severus will stay here so as to not rouse suspicion from Voldemort. Its crucial that Severus remains posted at Hogwarts until I can safely explain his disappearance and make it look like hes on a mission for Voldemort. As much as I don't wish it, (Y/N) will have to become a death eater eventually so that the Death Eaters will not be suspicious as to why he is around Severus so much. It's a harrowing thing but it must be done. Summer is approaching and I will explain loosely to Neville's family that he has been accepted into the order by his wish to right the name, therefore temporarily being pulled out of school. (Y/N) and Severus will infiltrate the Malfoy mansion and find his horcrux he has with him, making sure he stays weak. But you have to be careful and stealthy. No one can know it was you. Remus, Luna, you will adventure out into the world with Neville as his protectors, guiding him and keeping him strong. I have some gifts to aid you all."

He presents them all with gifts ranging in uses and sizes. To Severus he gives a time turner, for if something goes wrong that you need to fix. To Luna he gives an enchanted coin. Anytime she needs to bring them back to a safe place, it will transport them. Where, they do not know. To Remus he gives him a de-luminator, for when dark or light is needed. To Neville, the sword of Godric Gryffindor, to protect him and his loved ones. And finally to you, he gives you an invisibility cloak, for when being hidden is necessary. After the gifts are given he returns to serious matters.

Dumbledore turns to Severus with a serious and sad tone. "My dearest friend, there is plot to kill me. The Malfoy boy is innocent but his parents control him more than I wish. While you are here, you two need to stay close to him, if he seems distant, try to get him to pull away from his family. But if he cannot, they plot to make him murder me. Severus you can not let him have that on his consciousness. If he does agree to the dark lords doings...you have to kill me and take over as headmaster. Protect my students and my school. No one will thank you and it will be nearly impossible..but I trust you."

Severus' face faltered,stomach dropping but he knew he had to do this if it came down to it. He swallowed the nervous bile that rose up in his throat, heart hammering and his palms sweating profusely. "Yes Headmaster..."Severus mumbled, glancing out a window regretfully. 

Luna slowly sunk down into a chair, tears welling up in her eyes. This one man, could cause so much hurt and so much pain. "Headmaster,when do we leave?.."She asked shakily, voice wavering

You looked over at Severus and reached for his hand subtly, wanting so badly to comfort him and assure him that they could convince Malfoy not to do anything. "Is this the only way Headmaster?"

Dumbledore turned to Luna and you. "Yes I'm afraid it is the only way. I'm sorry. Luna, you, Neville and Remus will leave in two weeks time. Until then, prepare yourselves and get some rest.'

Remus nodded and took Lunas hand, squeezing it to comfort her. " It will be ok my love."

Snape reached over and held your hand, trying to calm his nervous shaking. He was a strong man, but this..no matter how much he found Neville incompetent and idiotic he was only a boy, and to kill Headmaster Dumbledore? Once they were dismissed he hurried down the halls towards the dungeons.Luna walked out with Remus and Neville, shaking softly. She was terrified for the boy
