Hi hello so I wrote this when I was 15 naturally, and in your head if you want to read this as a 6th year like I wrote it that's absolutely your choice. But when I have the time I'm going to go back and change the age to a 7th year because this story was a love project but it was also a product of me being a victim of grooming.

While fiction is 100% fine and being a teen who is attracted to adults is fine, adults who are attracted to teens is not fine. When an adult or older teen tells you "you're different" or "more mature than other people your age", those are lines to build your confidence. I know it seems fun and cool that an older person is interested in you but please please be aware of the signs of grooming.

Do not have sex or a relationship with anyone over the age of 18 if you are under the age of 16. Do not have sex or a relationship with anyone over the age of 21 if you are 16-17. Most importantly, if you are 12-13, DO NOT trust high school boys who are interested in you. These people are predators. They may seem nice and respectful, and you may be mature. But please take my advice from my experience and date people in your age range. 3 years difference or less if you are under 18.

Feel free to crush on and admire whoever you want. But acting on those feelings with people more than 2-3 years older than you is not safe. I'm not a cautionary tale I'm very happy now, but I wish I hadn't trusted older people just because they were older and I thought that was cool. YOU ARE COOL. You don't need to grow up faster or act older to be cool. The coolest thing you could do is be yourself and be proud of it. Like what you like and don't care what other people think. Because those who matter don't mind , and those who mind don't matter.
