You hummed with such a joy in your voice, practically bouncing on your feet as you made your way to the Forbidden Forest. You did not look back, but you knew someone was following you.

A chuckle escaped your lips and you stopped dead on your track. You could sense that his steps came to a halt as well, mimicking you.

"I thought you weren't coming."

You teased, not even minding to turn around. A big smile was plastered on your face when he revealed himself, scowling at you.

"I thought you said you were busy, Professor."

You continued, irritating the Potions Master as you both started to walk side by side into the Forbidden Forest.

"I'm not going to let you walk into the forest alone."

Severus mumbled, his cold demeanor was slowly breaking down as both of you were in the forest and far from other students.

"Aww, you're worried about me? That's sweet."

You giggled. Severus rolled his eyes dramatically but then he sent you a small smile, gesturing you to take his hand. You put your hand in his, smiling as his warmth engulfed your skin.

"A walk in the forest to relieve your stress— You're truly unique, Y/N."

He muttered, a smirk was dancing on his
lips. You laughed and nodded vigirously.

"I would rather stay in the library but you said I should take my time off the books. So I think a walk would do."

You replied, glancing at the man. You could not believe that he was asking you to take time off books. But then again, he might be a teacher, but he was much more than that to you. He cared, and he loved you.

"You're stressing out, my darling. I can see it in your eyes."

Severus squeezed your shoulders as both of you stopped walking. You looked him in the eyes and your heart fluttered at his loving words, knowing that this man fell head over heels for you.

"It's important to be stressed sometimes. I need to score the best for my N.E.W.T thus the pressure helps me, I think."

You put your hand on his chest, something that you were accustomed to do when you were standing close with Severus, except in class of course.

"I understand. But please don't forget to eat and sleep. I don't want you to get sick."

A frown started to form on his face, worried that something bad might happen to you, his love and the light of his life. You grinned and shook your head.

"You too, Severus. You've been stressing out too. I know you're exhausted, but still, you're here to accompany me walking in the forest."

His heart melted at your kind words and Severus smiled.

"Perhaps I'm tired but I will never get tired of you. I love being with you here."

"Oh really? Sometimes I wonder if you're annoyed with me."

You muttered, insecurities were wrapping your fragile heart. Being younger than him always made you vulnerable, feeling as if you were not enough and that he deserved to experience his life with somebody better than you.

Severus noticed the insecurities that were lying underneath your words, his heart was aching. He planted a soft kiss on your forehead and smiled genuinely at you.

"No worries, darling. You could annoy me forever if it means that I get to be with you."

He whispered, pecking your lips sweetly. Your heart bloomed and you could cry at the words that rolled out of his tongue.

It was not easy to be away from home, and now that you got so many things on your mind— Severus would always be there for you.

He was your home.

"Did you know that I used to get homesick almost all the time?"

You asked, chuckling as you looked at his knowing smirk. Severus nodded and bopped your nose playfully.

"I found you crying once because you were homesick. That was when you were in 5th year."

He reminded you, chuckling as you hid your face in his chest.

"I can't believe a 5th year student was crying because she was homesick. I thought you had fun here."

You chewed on your bottom lip and shrugged your shoulders.

"Well, I had fun with my friends. I love it here! It's just sometimes I miss home and I miss my parents terribly especially if I'm stressed out."

You revealed, a shy smile was on your face. Severus nodded and realised that he did not really understand what you felt.

"When I was a student, I didn't really miss my home. My home was not as fancy as yours. Not as happy and content as your home. My parents were not as loving as your parents. Perhaps that's why it's hard for me to understand."

Severus trailed off, not even realising how much he just opened up to you. There was a lump on his throat when he saw tears in your eyes. You were devastated to hear his story, not knowing that his childhood was not really good.

"Severus, I'm not homesick at all now."

You stated, his gaze never left your beautiful face.

"In fact, I stopped being homesick since the day you said you love me."

You continued, catching his attention as he could not tear his gaze from you. The innocence and curiosity that were swimming in your pair of beautiful eyes, were surrounding him.

"You're my home, Severus."

His heart was thumping rapidly against his chest as he swallowed your sincere words, a smile was cracked on his lips.

"Wherever I'll be, as long as I'm with you, then I'm home."

You added, kissing his cheek and taking his hands in yours.

Severus wrapped his strong arms around your small figure, inhaling your scent as he tried to hold back his tears. He was your home, your safe haven. He swore that he would love you until the end of the time and nothing could hurt you as long as he was alive.

"I found my home, Severus. It's always been you."

The professor could feel his lips trembled as he could not form any words to let you know how happy he was to hear that from you.

Severus never thought that he had a home. He tried to belong in so many places but none of them accepted him for who he truly was. There would always be conditions and beliefs, always silently judging him for the way he was.

But you, you made him see the bigger picture of life. You made him realise that he did not have to find his home in a place.

He found his home, and it was you.

You were his home, and he could not asked for anywhere better because being with you was the best place he would be in this world.

"You're my home, Y/N. I love you."

He managed to get the words out without breaking into tears, pulling away from you to look you in the eyes.

"I love you too."

You stayed in each other's arms for awhile before he decided it would be best if both of you get back inside, and you agreed.

"I'm not stressed out anymore."

You began, as he walked by your side back to the castle. Severus raised his eyebrows and smirked.

"Good to know. If I see a frown on your face in my class tomorrow—"

"Love, a frown is not a sign that somebody is stressed."

You complained, but could not hold back your smile. Severus pressed his lips into a thin line and shook his head.

"I just hate to see your frown, it's tormenting me. I love to you smile."

Your face flushed and you chuckled under your breath. Suddenly, you remembered what he said about his home when he was a student.

"Do you want to come with me when I go back to my parents' home?"

You asked, fiddling with your fingers nervously as you saw shock in his eyes.

"Just a short visit, if you want to. I'm sure my parents would be delighted to have you as their guest."

You did not know what else to say. Did you ask him right? You hoped he was not angry at you now.

"If you don't want to, then it's fine—"

"No, I would love to. It's just... I've been spending my break alone before this. Mostly just being here."

His words almost break your heart. You smiled genuinely at him and he knew you were the one, that he would never let you slip through his fingers.

"Well, then you've got company this break. I mean, you have me. Who wouldn't want me to be their company?"

You said playfully, eyeing him as he shook his head at your antics.

"You're not just a company. You're my Y/N, my love and my home."

Surely, Severus never knew what his future would be. But now that with you, he did not care anymore. He believed whatever was going to happen next, he would be ready because he was not alone.

He found his home, and you found yours.

Anyway, I was watching Sweeney Todd today. I love Johnny Depp, truly, I do but Alan Rickman as JUDGE TURPIN IS HOT and the fact that he's such a bad person— oh god, I think I'm morally deranged for loving Judge Turpin 😏 but honestly, his character is kind of disgusting. Nevertheless, Alan looked amazing lol
