Severus went through his week peacefully, without taking points off any houses or giving detention to problematic students like he usually did. There was no way he wanted spend his evenings with the foolish students in detention, when he could be back after classes in the comfort of his room, reading your book while sipping a cup of tea.

It did not take him long to finish your book, and in fact, when the long awaited weekend has finally arrived, he already begun to read your book for the second time. There was something beautiful about the way you wrote your book, perhaps it was just him, but he could not wait to see you during the weekend.

Severus found himself reading your letter again and again, as if he could imagine you talking to him, his smile never disappeared from his face as he was anticipating to see his favourite student. He had never felt this way before, and to be honest he liked it. It made him warm and fuzzy inside to know that he had something to look forward to after a week of teaching those dunderheads.

That morning, Severus felt nervous and sick, and suddenly he was not sure if it was a good idea to see you again. He cursed himself silently for being a fool, it was just a meeting, so why would he be so complicated about it. It was just a meeting with his ex student who happened to be his favourite student. It was nothing more but that, right?

He sat in his chair, grading the papers to calm himself down, but his mind wandered to you. He wondered how you were doing now, that he had not seen you for so long. The knocks on his door surprised him, and he asked the person to come in, thinking that it was you.

"Professor, I have something to ask regarding our lessons yesterday."

Severus frowned when he recognised that it was not your voice, slowly looking up from the papers and towards the door. A groan escaped his lips when he saw his 5th year student, disturbing the peace of his weekend. The poor student trembled under his glare, and he could tell that his professor was unhappy with his presence.

"You're not supposed to disturb me during weekend, Mr Alderton."

He reminded, glaring daggers at the student but nevertheless, Severus called him in, helping him with his troubles. After he was done with the student, and also reminding him again that he should not be disturbed during weekend, especially that particular day (because he only expected you to be on his doorstep), the student left his office.

He continued to do his work, a little bit grumpy after his student decided to come in just now. After a few moments, he heard knocks on his door, and he let out an exasperated sigh. Not even bothering to look up from his work, he told the person to come into his office. He heard the door was cracked open, and he was ready to lecture the poor student who thought it was prudent to come to him.

"I've told you, Mr Alderton that I do not wish to be disturbed—"

"Unfortunately, I'm not Mr Alderton."

Severus dropped his quill on his table, recognising your sweet voice immediately. He looked up to see you beaming at him, and Severus almost forgot how beautiful you were since he last saw you, or perhaps he never thought about your gorgeous features much because you were his student and it was wrong to ever see you that way.

"Fortunately, you're not."

He replied, a soft smile was dancing on his lips, warming your heart to see that you could still make him smile like you used to. You took a seat across him, just like when you were still a student, bringing back so many good memories that you had never forgotten.

"I never said that you can have a seat."

He raised his eyebrows, and you snorted. You leaned back against the chair, crossing your arms against your chest to challenge him.

"Am I supposed to be scared of you, Professor?"

A deep chuckle erupted in his chest, his gaze never left you as he realised that he had missed you so much since the day you left Hogwarts to chase your dreams.

"Please call me Severus."

Your eyes widen at his words, and a childish giggle escaped your throat, making the Potions Master shook his head at your antics. You were still as adorable as ever in his eyes, and he was glad it did not change.

"I think I want to call you Sevy."

You teased him, a smirk was cracked on your lips when you saw how annoyed he was with you. Severus stared at you with his dark eyes, knowing that you were trying to tick him off.

"Call me that one more time and see what happens."

He threatened, and if you were a student, you would nod and never called him with that name again. But you knew he would never be angry at you, so you stifled a laugh when it was obvious that he was frustrated with you.

"Sevy is a cute name."

You shrugged, Severus rolled his eyes dramatically, knowing that you would never stop teasing him and he could not do anything to stop you. He could not give you detention or deduct your house points anymore. Thus he just sighed, earning your laughter.

"I've missed this place so much. I've missed you!"

You confessed, looking at him with your luminous eyes, and for a moment Severus could see his whole world reflected in them. He cleared his throat, shaking those thoughts away. What was he thinking?

"Don't you miss me, Severus?"

You tilted your head a bit, a grin was plastered on your face. It was strange to call him with his first name, but you could get used to it. Severus' heart thud rapidly against his ribcage as his name rolled out of your tongue perfectly, and it sounded so beautiful that he wanted to hear it for the rest of his life.

"I've missed you, Y/N. You're my favourite."

You were shocked when he did not say that you were his favourite student, but you were his favourite. A steady blush ran across your cheeks and you hoped the professor did not notice it. You were glad when he did not mention anything about it, whether he was oblivious with it or he was just ignoring it.

"Did you read my book?"

You asked, wanting to know his opinion on your first book. Severus nodded, and he could not help but smiled proudly at you.

"I finished it actually and now I'm reading it again."

"You really love my book, don't you?"

You cocked your eyebrow, smirking, as you realised how amazing you writing was to him. He really inspired you to become who you wanted to be, and you would be eternally grateful for his presence in your life.

"The ending of the book is so... You."

Severus could not describe it in words, as he really thought that your personalities shone through every word in the book, making it one of many reasons that he was attracted to read it again and again. You chuckled, nodding at his comment.

"I understand what you're saying. You know me better than anyone else."

You said, looking back to those times when you always told him first about everything that happened to you, as if he was your best friend rather than a teacher. He could read you like a book, even if he did not use his Legilimency against you, and he knew you more than your own family did.

Your eyes landed on the papers on his table, and you huffed playfully, shaking your head at the Potions Master.

"You need a break sometimes, Severus. You're working during weekend."

You complained, seeing the pile of papers, feeling sorry for him that he had to do so much work. No wonder he looked so stressed out all the time, with all these burdens that he had to carry on his shoulders alone.

"It's my job, Y/N."

"Do you need any help?"

You asked, and Severus was flabbergasted when you offered him help. You were not entitled to please him anymore that you were no longer a student, and he wondered why you were being so kind towards him. You squinted your eyes at him when you could feel that he was reading your mind, trying to make out your real intention.

"I just want to help you, Professor Snape. Are you doubting me?"

"I doubt you still remember these lessons."

He scoffed, knowing that it would fire you up. You gritted your teeth and took a few papers from him, starting to grade them. Severus started to work as well, trying to hide his smile. He never doubted your ability. He knew you were a brilliant student and you were able to grade those papers.

The only thing you lacked of was patience.

He was astonished when you graded those papers without any hint of anger, watching you silently as you put a paper aside and moved on to another. If there was one thing that has changed about you then it would be your patience. However, he snickered when you finally cursed under your breath, finding a foolish mistake that a student made.

"You made the right decision of not being a teacher, my dear Y/N."

He mocked you, and you wanted to wipe his smirk off his face so bad. Your eyebrows knitted together as you realised that you were grading 7th year students' papers, and yet their mistakes were so bad that you wanted to tear those papers into tiny little pieces. Severus could not hold back an amused smile when he read your mind, seeing how impatient you were getting.

"Please do not tear those papers, Y/N."

You huffed in annoyance, noticing that he had been breaking down your mental walls while you were busy grading the papers. You breathed sharply as you went through the last one, a big smile was painted on your face once you finished them with zest and intelligence.

"I can't believe there are some 7th year students who make mistakes worse than the 1st years."

You mumbled, and Severus could only smiled at you. He had to deal with students almost every day, and he had gotten used to them by now. But that did not mean that he tolerated them.

"They're not as lucky as you to have me tutoring them, Miss L/N."

He said smugly, and you had to admit that a part of his words was true. You owed him so much for taking you under his wings, spending his free time to teach you just because he did not want to waste your potential and hard work.

"Why don't you tutor them like you did to me?"

"There's no one like you."

He blurted out, before he could realise what he was saying. He quickly noticed it as he saw your eyes grew wide, and you smiled broadly at him, sending warmth wrapped around his cold heart.

"I know I'm special to you. Why don't you tell me sooner?"

Your overly sweet voice melted his heart, but he faked grimace at you, standing up from his chair. You chuckled under your breath when he tried to ignore your words, you were practically bouncing on your feet as you followed him to his kitchen, eager to spend your time with him.

"I've missed your tea!"

You squealed as he made you some tea. Severus could faint from how overjoyed you sounded, knowing that you were happy to spend your day with him, even if it was just to have some cookies and tea.

"I hope you bring some cookies for us."

"Of course!"

You and Severus ended up sharing stories about a plethora of things from logical ones to the most ridiculous things while having tea, and you had missed it so much since the day you stepped out of Hogwarts.

You could still remember how wrecked you were on that day, you had to leave your friends and your teachers, especially Severus who was your favourite person in school. If it was not because of him, you would explode with the amount of pressure that you got from your study. But you found comfort in every extra lesson with him, those evenings that you would find some time to talk to him, he even gave his shoulder for you to cry on when life was too tough for you.

You were over the moon to finally see him again.

But your happiness turned into worry when he slipped out and told you that he was not having proper meals for a few weeks, considering how busy he was. He did not mean to tell you, knowing how concerned you were, you were always mad at him when he skipped his meals.

"I make sure to eat at least once a day, Y/N."

"Coffee doesn't count as a proper meal, Severus Snape."

You retorted, shaking your head at his ignorance. When you were a student, you always made sure your professor had his meals, no matter how busy he was with his work. He tend to forget to take care of himself sometimes, and if there was one thing that you despised about him, it would be that.

"You have to take care of yourself."

You reminded him softly, tugging on his heartstrings with how worried you were for him. Severus nodded, assuring you that he would listen to your advice, knowing that you meant every word that you said when you were concerned for his well-being.

When it was time for you to leave, Severus was dejected. He loved your company, and if he could, he wanted you to be there with him all the time. But he knew that was not possible, considering that you were just his ex student who visited him after such a long time. Now that you were leaving, he would never know when he would see you again.

"Thank you for today, Severus. I have such a good time."

He nodded weakly, unable to hide away his sadness as you were leaving him. You chewed on your bottom lip, contemplating if you should ask him or not. You made up your mind to ask, having to wait for so long for this moment and you could not wait anymore.

"Severus, will I see you again?"

Severus was taken aback, as he never thought that you wanted to see him again after this meeting. He nodded, a smile was emblazoned on his face.

"I would love to see you again."

"Will you go out with me? Like a date, perhaps?"

You asked timidly, fiddling with your fingers as your face turned red, waiting for his answer. Severus froze for a moment, never in his wildest dreams he thought that such a beautiful young lady like you would ask him out.

"I know it sounds crazy but—"

"Yes, I'd love to go out on a date with you."

Severus answered quickly, before you could think that he was not interested. He would be wretched if he missed the chance to go out on a date with you, knowing that you were attracted to him as well. Upon seeing your enchanting smile, his heart melted into a puddle of giddiness, could not wait to see you again.

"That's great. I'll see you next weekend, alright?"

You chuckled, feeling as if the world was yours as he said yes to you. You had been dreaming for this moment for so long, but you had to keep it to yourself as he was still your teacher and it was highly improper to harbour such feelings for him when you were a student.

"I'll see you next weekend, Y/N."

He said way too quickly, looking forward to have a date with you. He stiffened slightly when you put your hands on his chests, standing on your tiptoes to place a soft kiss on his cheek. Severus' breath hitched, and butterflies fluttered in his stomach, smiling nervously as he dropped his gaze on you.

"I'll write to you later. Bye, Sevy!"

He watched with a smile as you left, not even minding the nickname that you gave him, as he was too busy thinking about how amazing it must be to go out on a date with you. Severus put a hand on his cheek where you had kissed him, grinning like a fool in love he was, shutting the door so that no one could disturb him as he went to read your book again.

Severus was excited for the weekend to come, just to go out on a date with you, and he was anticipating for every weekend after that as you would always come to see him, even having some cookies and tea was a perfect date for him, as long as he shared them with you.
