"Severely, I guess I loved you too severely,
I don't even breath and I look around for you,
I don't know when I'll be able to stop."

The comedian was acting silly and it brought roar of laughters from the audience but not Hongki. He was too distracted by the thoughts of tomorrow, which was the day of the accident.

He had planned everything, and it went well by far. He knew he had bent the past a little from what he went through before, but he was still afraid of what would happen tomorrow. People said you cannot predict the future, and this were the example for it. He had basically left his grandfather, so there was no way he will join the meeting tomorrow. But he can't think of another reason for the accident to be happening.

'There must be something I overlooked. Fate never bent itelf, I have to shape it myself.' he thought.

Someone stormed into his house making him snapped his thought back to the present. He reduced the TV volume and turned to the guy who was pulling off his shoes.

"Hey hyung." Jaejin greeted, stepoing into the living room, buy stopped when he saw the grey thing lying on the floor. "Oh wow, new mat." he poked it with his toe.

"Don't poke my mat." Hongki said, looking horrified at what his friend was doing with the couple mat Seolhyun bought for them both. Maybe he should put it inside his room instead.

"Why? It's just a mat hyung." and he poked it again. Hongki gasped and he laughed. Shaking his head, Jaejin dropped into the couch next to his friend.

"I went for a brunch with my mom." he started and Hongki raised one brow.

"And?"

Jaejin grimaced. "She lectured me about marriage. I just got signed into a company and she asked me to marry."

Hongki laughed. "So? Just marry your Japanese girfriend."

Jaejin grinned. "We broke off." Hongki nodded, he had predicted it before. Jaejin was a guy who didn't believe in commitments, so he hoped doing a double date with Seolhyun, Choa and his friend will change his opinion.

"So hyung, when can I meet sister in law?"

"Tomorrow, we'll have dinner together."

Hongki answered without thinking twice. Since he quit his job, there shouldn't be any problems, right?

"Cool, I can't wait. I'm going up, see you later hyung." Jae got up, but then stopped as he remembered one more thing to tell his friend.

"Ah, hyung, before I forget.. I think you should meet your mother. She misses you. Mom told me. Talk later." Jae winked and off to his room.

Hongki felt bad. He was really busy thinking about how to save his girlfriend that he forgot about his mother. But his mother lived with his grandfather, and to meet that old man again will be so awkward. Hongki glanced at the wall clock, it was just 1pm. His grandfather will still be at the office.

He got up and ran upstairs to get changed. He was going to meet his mother.

"Oh, hello." the familiar face said behind the big door.

Hongki smiled. "Hello Mrs. Ji, I'm here for mother."

"Oh, Mrs. Lee is at the back lawn, reading her book. Go on, Hongki. It's been awhile since you visited." she opened up for a hug.

"Yeah, I missed you too. I gotta get going." he broke the hug and started his way towards the back door.

"Hi mother."

Mrs. Lee looked up from her book. "Look who's here. How are you son." she hugged him tightly.

"I'm fine mother. I miss you."

"Me too.. Me too.." they broke the hug and Hongki sat across of his mother.

"Now tell me son, did you and grandpa fight?"

Hongki cringed. There's nothing his mother didn't know.

"No, we just had some unpleasant meeting with each other. That's all."

She watched as her son smiled at her. She knew something was wrong. Hongki wasn't the type to tell anyone anything if anything goes wrong, he always been like that since he was a child. But her mother instincts told her that there's something wrong, and they never failed to.

She reached out and held his hand. "You can't lie to me, Hongki. I'd always know when something's wrong."

"Mother, do you trust me?"

She was taken aback with the sudden question. What types of mother who doesn't believe her child?

"Of course I do, why don't I?" she replied and watched as Hongki inhaled deeply.

"If I were to leave you, mother, for a good reason. Would you still trust me?"

"Where did this come from, son. Is this because grandpa? You're moving to another place because of grandpa? Don't worry, I will talk to him. You know he only looked hard on the outside, but he has some soft spot for you." she said.

Her only son shook his head no.

"This is not about grandpa, mother. I only want you to answer that one question."

His face showed that he was serious. So she brought her hand to his cheek and said, "Of course, my son. Nothing will change that."

It was already dark outside, and Hongki was already lying flat on his back on his bed. Jae had knocked his door to call him for dinner but he wasn't hungry. He had lunch with his mother and he was still full. But truth was, he was too worried of tomorrow that he didn't have the appetite to eat.

He turned to his left to where the calendar was. He reached for it and stared at it. There was only one day left before the date of her big day were. He marked the 22th, and placed the calendar back to where it belonged. He lie there watching it, as if hoping that somehow the time would stop and send him back to the past. Maybe he should've brought her to somewhere else. Somewhere far.

Maybe.
