"That's not what you said when we were in the closet making out."

The look on Aimee's face was one of shock, not only because Louise had just apparently made out with her bully, but because he was just the guy that she was interested in. She had her jaw dropped and her eyes peeled wide, and no words made their way out of her mouth. Even Annie and the Pesto twins were surprised by Logan's words. They knew Louise liked to mess with people, but Logan was an adult, and adults generally weren't known to be liars.

"You take that back!" Louise shot an accusing finger at Logan's face. The twenty five year old chemistry teacher merely crossed his arms over his chest and shot Louise a smirk.

It was like a contest they were having, messing with each other, and Logan was winning. Louise needed to find a way to turn things around in her favor. She hated losing. All of it was about to change when they heard a knock on the door.

None of them had invited any one else, and they assumed it was only one of the security guards coming to check in on them. Logan asked them to behave and wait while he went to the door. He pulled it open to find there weren't any security guards, but he wished there were because the person at the door was Maria Valentina, his girlfriend.

The model smiled wide at the sight of him and threw her arms around him in a bone crushing hug as though she hadn't seen him in ages. Upon seeing a bunch of other teenagers in the room--three of them being seventeen year old girls--she pressed her lips to Logan's, to make it clear that he was her boyfriend and that they shouldn't even think of trying to hit on him. The look on her face was that of someone dangling a new toy in front of children. It was cocky, and it was prideful, and it was all because he was hers

If anything could do more to ruin Aimee Arriola's mood, it was this.

Her twin sister took one look at her and nudged her, gesturing to the door. "Its getting late." She let out a yawn that was clearly fake. "We should get back to our dorms. Will you be coming in, Louise?" She looked to the seventeen year old with jet black hair.

Louise shook her head. "I'll stay here with Andy and Ollie."

Annie nodded and practically dragged her sister out of the room. Annie Arriola admired Maria Valentina Orizaba for being one of the two Mexican models who had ever won the Miss Universe pageant. She didn't want to get on her bad side by having her know that her sister was trying to date Logan.

The Arriola twins left the room and there was a silence that hung in the air for a few moments--an awkward one. Maria Valentina clung onto Logan like a python about to suffocate its prey before devouring it, even after the two other girls left the room. She was most weary about Louise, who she had seen already on another occasion near Logan. Prying her arms from around him, Logan turned to her and asked, "What are you doing here, babe?" The nickname slipped out of his tongue uncomfortably, like he wasn't at all used to saying it. But he was used to it, and it was only now that he was finding it difficult to get the word out.

Maria explained innocently, "I called you a million times and you wouldn't answer. So I called your aunt and she said you were babysitting tonight. I thought I would join you so we can make the night pass more quickly." Her hand reached up to cup his face and pull him in her direction.

Logan gave a shake of his head, shaking himself from her hold. "Not here, Maria. I'm at my job, I have to be professional. Why don't you just go back home and wait for me there?"

His girlfriend pouted and stomped her foot on the ground in a tantrum. "What the hell is wrong with you, Logie Bear?" She asked him. The nickname she had for him caused Louise to feel like laughing, only she stifled it because she had noticed how insufferable his girlfriend was and she didn't want to give her another reason to be mad. Andy and Ollie went to sit on the bed and ignore the conversation. They got out the phone--which they shared--and started watching youtube videos on it. Louise went t sit on the couch and pretended to be distracted on her phone, but really she was listening in on their little argument. "Ever since you arrived at this new job of yours, you pay no attention to me. Its like you don't even want to be around me anymore."

He sighed in frustration, running a hand through his blonde hair. "Let's not talk about this now--not in front of the students."

"You're my boyfriend." She whined, uncaring that she was discussing their love life in front of teenagers who she didn't even know. "I just want to spend some time with you before the Miss USA pageant starts and sucks up all my time. Is that too much to ask?"

"No." He agreed with her, if only to prevent their argument to continue.

From the couch, Louise piped up, seemingly in an uninterested tone. "Why don't you tell her the real reason why you don't want her here, Logan?"

The color drained from Logan's face as he knew exactly what she was talking about. This was her opportunity to get her revenge after Logan made Aimee think that they had made out in the closet. But he wasn't sure if Louise would really be able of saying something that could potentially ruin his relationship with Maria Valentina.

"Don't you dare, Louise." He hissed, shooting her a look.

Maria looked from Logan to the seventeen year old sat on the couch with a nonchalant look on her face. On the model's own face was a look of suspicion.

"Why is there so much familiarity between you two?" She asked them.

The first day that she arrived in Virginia--to visit Logan before the start of the Miss USA pageant--she saw Louise talking to him. She thought that it was nothing more than a student-teacher relationship, but the familiarity with which they referred to each other told her that there was more to them than they led on. It was as though they had known each other since long before he had even arrived at the school.

But what were the odds that Logan, who was from somewhere on the west coast, would run into someone from back home, all the way on the other side of the country? Maria Valentina shook the thought away as nothing more than her imagination playing tricks on her.

"No familiarity." Louise replied with a shrug of her shoulders, assuring the twenty three year old model that there was nothing between Logan and herself. "I never met this man before in my life."

Logan heaved a sigh of relief, if not for his own safety, for Louise's. He knew just how spiteful Maria Valentina could be when she was jealous.

That was all it took to reassure Maria, and a smile returned to her red tainted lips. But the smile wasn't at all for Louise, she merely went back to ignoring the seventeen year old. She didn't like her, and she still thought that Louise was after Logan because she was taking the liberty of speaking to him as though they were something more than a teacher and his student. She would have to keep her guard up in order to keep the seventeen year old away from Logan. What she had yet to imagine was that Aimee was the one who needed to be kept away from the chemistry teacher.

"Will you leave us alone now?" Louise wondered with a roll of her eyes. By us, she had been referring to herself, as well as Andy and Ollie. They had a lot of catching up to do and hadn't been able to really talk since Logan and the Arriola twins were int he room.

Linking arms with her boyfriend, Maria finally acknowledged Louise with a sickly sweet fake smile. And turning to Logan with a genuine one, she said, "Let's go, darling. Let the kids have fun."

Logan refused for a moment, but Maria was finally able to convince them and they left the room.

Louise spent much of the night talking with Andy and Ollie, asking them how things were back home. The twins would tell her stories about Jimmy Pesto's fights with Bob Belcher, and Louise laughed along, clearly picturing both middle aged men still fighting to prove which restaurant was the better one. Louise clearly knew it was Jimmy Pesto who had the better restaurant, since he had a steady customer base, but she didn't think her father's burgers were that bad.

Some of his ideas were actually clever, but she would never say that to him.

They finally became tired enough to sleep when it was past three in the morning and the twins let Louise take the bed, while they shared the one couch in the room. They were cramped, but they declined Louise's offer to take the bed instead, no matter how many times she insisted.

Louise didn't wake up until mid day, when she heard the door to the room open and in barged Logan. The seventeen year old had half of her body draped in a blanket and the other half uncovered, with the pillow hugged to her chest. She was a light sleeper and the noise of him entering the room woke her up.

"Dude," She complained in a sleepy voice. "I could have been in bed naked. Can't you knock?"

"You're fully clothed." He countered.

"I said could have been." She clarified.

He rolled his eyes at her, but instead of replying with a comeback, he said something else to her, "Its past noon."

"So?" She used the pillow to cover her face and shield herself from daylight.

"Its time to get up." He told her rather calmly, cutting the distance between himself and the bed. He placed a hand at the end of the bed, gripping the covers in one hand while he was very tempted to pull them off her. That always seemed to work for his mother when he was a teenager and she wanted to wake him up for another day of school. His eyes darted to the couch with relief to see the twins crammed into the limited surface area of the piece of furniture.

Logan had stayed up as well, having heard most of the trio's conversation through the paper thin walls of the guest building. He didn't want to sleep until they did, and Maria Valentina was glad to stay up with him, but she had other intentions. Even so, he had been the first of the group to get up and was freshly showered and ready to start his day of chaperoning Louise and her friends.

But Louise only uncovered her face only to retort, "I do what I want."

"Fine." He said in a very nonchalant tone. Looking down at the watch on his wrist, he told her casually, "Lunch will stopped being served at the cafeteria at one thirty, and it is currently twelve fifty five. If you don't get up now, you'll miss it and you'll have to wait for dinner at four thirty."

Her green eyes shot wide open.

"Shit." She cursed aloud as she threw the covers off herself. She didn't care much about waiting for dinner time if she could continue sleeping, but she would have nothing to give Andy and Ollie if she didn't go out to get some lunch.

She grabbed her shoes off the floor and pulled them on, pushing past Logan as she made her way out the door. She only had a half hour to get food and she had to walk all the way across campus to get to her dorm first. Her meal tickets were in her backpack, and then she would need to run to the cafeteria where she would just grab anything that was left. After one fifteen, the workers stopped making food and the students could only grab whatever was left.

Logan followed behind her, amused and chuckling at her.

She looked back at him and narrowed her green eyes into a glare. "Stop laughing if you're not gonna help."

"I'm laughing because you fell for it." He confessed, trying to suppress his laugh.

Louise stopped dead in her tracks and turned to face him. It had been so sudden that he barely had any time to stop walking himself and nearly ran into her.

"What?" She demanded.

"Its only eleven forty five." He explained to her. Louise wasn't sure whether to believe him or not, and got her phone out of her pocket. He was right, it was nearly only noon. "You have plenty of time to catch lunch. I just wanted you to panic a little."

Louise balled a small hand into a fist and punched him in the gut, just like she had done when she was nine. Only this time he had quicker reflexes and expected her retaliation. He caught her wrist in his hand and pinned it at her side.

"I know you so well, four ears." He told her.

"No you don't." She countered with a smirk playing on her lips, stomping down on his foot.
