As they made their way to the main building--with Logan practically dragging her there--Louise Belcher was terrified for the first time in her life. For one, she had never been in a situation where a teacher had gotten so mad at her that he had yelled at her that way or grabbed her by the arm like Logan was doing. His grip was careful but tight, and Louise still felt like there might be light bruising.

"Logan--" She tried again to talk to him.

But the blonde haired teacher shook his head. "Louise, I don't want to hear it. You put us all in danger back there."

"In my defense," She started gaining more courage in herself. She thought that if she continued trying to talk to him, he would think things through and change his mind about taking her to Mother Superior's office. Louise knew the principal of the school was very strict and wouldn't hesitate to expell her. Then she would be forced to return home, which was what she wanted. But the condition the authorities had put for her not to go to juvenile detention was that she had to attend the prestigious boarding school, she had to behave, and she had to graduate. As of now, both of those things were in jeopardy. "You were the one who thought it was a good idea to let seventeen year old girls drive your car."

Logan shook his head. "My only mistake was letting you drive my car."

"Come on, Logan." She tried to convince him, planting her feet on the ground to make it more difficult for him to pull her along. He was still stronger than her and it didn't seem to be much more of a difficulty. At the same time, she tried to wrench her arm out of his grip.

They were now inside the building and halfway down to the main office, where Mother Superior had her office, when Louise decided to take extreme measures. If she was going to be in trouble anyway, she preferred being in trouble, but only after giving up a fight. She was determined to get out of the trouble she was in.

Louise stomped down on Logan's foot and he yelled out in pain, his grip on her arm loosening just enough for her to slip out of his grip. She took off for the opposite end of the hallway, hoping to make her escape. She knew the school better than Logan, and she thought she would be able to lose him in the maze-like hallways of the main school building.

Logan recovered quickly and dashed after her. She was close to turning the corner when he caught up to her, his hand gripping her upper arm again. Only this time he pushed her up against the wall with annoyance clear on his face. He placed his hands on her shoulders, holding her in place while he keeled over slightly at the pain in his foot, and the burning of his lungs when he had made that dash down the hall to catch up to her. "What the hell do you think you're doing, Louise?" He growled a question at her.

She panted tiredly, shrugging her shoulders. "I had to try. Especially when I didn't do this on purpose. When all those girls started yelling, I panicked, Logan. I may be defiant and anything you think I am, but I'd never put anyone in danger like that. You should know that, you know me better than anyone here."

"They wouldn't have started yelling if you had just followed my directions." He argued.

The girl with jet black hair scoffed. "I wasn't even going that fast!"

"Fine." He told her, for once deciding to trust Louise Belcher. She seemed sincere enough to her. "I'm not taking you to the principal's office. But you will be given detention after school today."

"Fair enough." Louise shrugged her shoulders. It was only after the situation had calmed down that Louise realized how close he was to her. His face only inches from hers, despite that he was much taller than her. She suddenly felt her heart beating like a drum against her chest. "Uh, Logan..." She gulped rather nervously. She had never had a boy standing this close to her. Even less someone who she considered her arch nemesis. "Can you, maybe, stand back a few steps? You're breathing on me."

Suddenly realizing this as well, Logan jumped back, scratching the back of his head awkwardly. "Sorry."

"And..." She looked down at her shoes as she pushed the words out of her mouth. "Thank you for not turning me in to the fuhrer. I know how much you'd like me expelled from this school since were're enemies and you hate me."

"We are enemies." He agreed with her, recalling memories from when they were younger. "But I don't hate you."

His words served to surprise Louise.

"Go spend the rest of class time in your dorm room." He instructed, adding, "I'm going back outside to calm the girls down." Without waiting for her response, he left her in the hallway and made his way out of the main building.

-

The clock hit three twenty in the afternoon, and she was in her last class for the day when an office worker showed up with a list of students to take to detention. The office worker took each of the students to the class where they had detention. Logan had actually gone through with his threat of giving her detention and she was dropped off in the Chemistry class room where Logan was still giving a lesson.

Logan wordlessly gestured for her to find a seat in the class room and she walked to the back where she plopped herself down on one of the chairs and crossed her arms over her chest. Ten minutes seemed to pass painfully slowly as he taught the class the same lesson he had taught her class the previous day.

Not soon enough, the bell rang and the class was dismissed. Since it was a Friday, the girls were excited to have the weekend to themselves. Even though they were not allowed to leave the school, they were allowed to have visitors on the weekends. Most of them had family or outside friends over. Louise had been considering having Gene over, since he was studying at Julliard and it was a few hours' drive to St. Mary's Academy. Perhaps she would be able to convince her to join her and wreak havoc, or participate in a prank she was planning against Danielle Bradford.

The room was empty in a matter of seconds and Logan sat at his desk, organizing the homework that had been turned in that day. "You can get started on your homework for my class, Louise."

Louise rolled her eyes. "The worksheet is back in my dorm."

He grabbed a spare worksheet from his desk and held it out for her to take. Louise lazily pushed herself off her seat, walked over to him, and took the sheet from his hand. She returned to her desk and pretended to work on it.

A few quiet minutes went by before Logan put all his things away. He had also wiped down the white board, and now had his briefcase on the table, waiting to be taken home for the weekend. Now he was sat at his desk, clicking away at his cellphone. Louise rolled her eyes, she figured he was probably talking to Maria Valentina.

Logan had looked up right at the moment she rolled her eyes.

"Why'd you roll your eyes at me?" He asked her, placing his cellphone faced down on the desk.

"No reason." She lied, giving a shrug of her shoulders.

Just then, her cellphone vibrated in her pocket and she brought it out onto her desk. Logan was still watching her as she slid her thumb over the screen to see she had a text from Andy and Ollie

andy & ollie: guess what, louise? :D

She smiled to herself as she typed her response.

louise: chicken butt haha :p

andy & ollie: we saved up our allowances and told dad we were gonna spend the weekend with mom.

andy & ollie: WE'RE GONNA GO VISIT UUU

The smile on her face seemed to grow bigger in the instant that she read their message. Ever since she had joined St. Mary's Academy--or was forced to leave home and enroll in the school--she hadn't gotten any visitors. Her parents were too busy trying to make ends meet with the restaurant, Gene was too busy studying music at Julliard, and Tina was too busy attending USC and spending time with Jimmy Jr. It seemed like they had all forgotten about her.

At least Andy and Ollie were making an effort.

Noticing the smile genuine smile that had made an appearance on her face, Logan asked, "Who are you texting? Your boyfriend?" He eyed her suspiciously.

Louise shot him a small glare. "None of your business, Logan."

"So I'm right?" He asked another question. "It is your boyfriend."

The seventeen year old scoffed. "Yes, Logan. I have two boyfriends who are twins and are coming to visit me this weekend. We take turns going on dates together. You know--one date with boyfriend A and the next date with boyfriend B. Is that what you wanted to hear?" She asked him in a rather sarcastic tone.

Classic Louise, Logan thought to himself.

But he still thought she had a boyfriend she was talking to and she didn't want to admit it. Most people who smiled at their phone screen like that were either plotting something, or they were in love.

It was only now that he had noticed she was wearing a football jersey from a team he recognized from his time studying abroad. UNAM had a football team that played in the top tier Mexican league, and they had played games against a team with the same logo on Louise's shirt. Gesturing to her shirt, he asked her yet another question, "Is that a Xolos jersey you're wearing?"

Lifting her gaze from her phone once more, she rolled her eyes at him as a groan escaped her lips. "What is this? Twenty questions?" Heaving an annoyed sigh, she added a confirmation, "And yes, it is a Xolos jersey. Annie and Aimee have a brother who plays on that team because he's a professional soccer player. He sent this jersey for me as a present. Now will you please let me get back to my chemistry homework?" She asked him, but from his seat at his desk, he could see that her worksheet was blank. She hadn't been working on it at all.

"You haven't done any part of it." He argued.

"Because you keep interrupting me." She defended.

"Fine." Logan looked down at his watch. Only twenty three minutes had passed of their one hour detention together, but had enough of Louise Belcher to last him an eternity. Getting up from his chair, he grabbed his briefcase and nodded towards the door. "Detention is over. Get your things and get out of my class room, Louise. You're so fucking insufferable."

"Not as much as you." She blew him a raspberry.

When he shot her a glare, she grabbed her backpack and slung it over her shoulder. Louise walked past him and left the room, now on her way to football practice.

According to the twins, they wouldn't be arriving until night time, and that meant she had to arrange with residence life for them to reserve rooms in the guest building. The school had so much money that they even had a guest building, which was almost like a hotel for the visitors of the students. Whenever one of the girls had a visitor, they had to talk to residence life in order to reserve a place for them to sleep. It was tedious, but it was the only way they allowed people from the outside into the school.

-

At dinner that afternoon, both Annie and Aimee had been glad to see Louise. Instead of heading to football practice like she had originally intended, she went to residence life and reserved a room for Andy and Ollie. The office closed at four thirty and she didn't want to have a problem with them visiting her.

Louise sat at the table with her two friends. Since she didn't know at what time Andy and Ollie would be arriving, she had stuffed her dinner plate with a heap of food which she would divide for the three of them. At the table, Aimee sighed in relief when she saw that things hadn't gone as bad as they thought for her friend. "We thought Professor Bush was going to turn you in to Mother Superior and that she would expell you."

"He had a change of heart." Louise informed them.

Aimee grinned. "He's such a great guy. I'll have to thank him for sparing my friend. He probably did it out of consideration for me, you know."

Louise could already fathom that it was just another excuse for her to talk to Logan, but she wouldn't concern herself with that at the moment. Right then she was only worried that the twins who were visiting from home would not be able to find the school, especially when night was falling. It was already hard enough to get to St. Mary's Academy during the day time.

She was about to send them a text when her phone screen lit up with a text message.

andy & ollie: we're outside the front gates but some security guard cop man won't let us in :(

andy & ollie: he says u need to come get us

Louise shot up from her place at the dinner table and excused herself, taking off for the front gates of the school which were a good ten minute's walk away. As she passed the front building, parking lot and football field which were close to the gates, she spotted Logan's car. That puzzled her. He was always gone by this time and she had gotten the idea that he was in a rush to leave when he dismissed detention early.

But she paid no mind to it. Her legs continued carrying her toward her destination until she reached the front gates. On the left was the security booth with the guards waiting for her, and beyond the black metal gate were her friends Andy and Ollie.

"Louise!" Both greeted in unison with grins on their faces.

"Do you know these boys?" One of the security guards asked her. He was a middle aged man with greying hair and a beer belly. On his chest was a tiny golden plaque with his last name on it: Williams

Louise nodded her head.

"I need your student ID number, first name, last name, date of birth, dorm number, name and last name of the visitors, relation with the visitors, and the reservation number residence life gave you." He told her in a stern tone. Louise thought they really took their job seriously if he was just about asking her every detail of her life.

From the other side of the gates, Ollie crinkled up his nose at the amount of information needed while Andy stifled a laugh.

"Student ID 0512084, um...Louise Belcher, birthday May the fourth two thousand, dorm number 221C, Andy and Ollie Pesto, um...friends, reservation number 819005284." She got the last number from her palm, where she had written it out hours earlier. The security guard spent the next couple of minutes filling out all the information onto a sheet of paper and when that was all done, he finally unlocked the gates and allowed the twins inside the school.

Once the boys stepped past the entrance, Louise pulled them in for a hug. They were her first real visitors from back home, and she hoped they wouldn't be the last.

As she led them towards the dining patio outside where Aimee and Annie were waiting, the security guard called out a warning for them. "Remember that boys aren't allowed in the girls' dorms after midnight. We'll be doing our rounds to make sure!"

Louise rolled her eyes. She would expect no less from a private school.
