You and your boyfriend were in Hawaii, spending the vacation time his manager gave him. You've been there for a few days and enjoyed it but you were leaving in two days so you had to figure out what to do to end your amazing vacation.

"I know! Let's go diving! It'll be fun!", Mingyu said, excited as he looked through this suitcase.

"Um...no..I don't think we should do that", you mumbled.

"Why not? We've done everything except go into the water with the fish. Come on", he whined, pouting as he looked at you.

You wanted to say no, mostly because of what happened when you were younger, but you found yourself agreeing.

He grabbed his shorts and ran into the bathroom to change. You were never comfortable wearing a bikini, not since that incident. You were grateful that you had bought shorts that reached under your knees. You were self-conscious.

You and Mingyu were on your way towards the boat that he reserved minutes after you agreed to go diving with him. You cautiously sat down and placed your hands under your legs.

It hasn't even been five minutes since the guy steering the boat has been talking about accidents that had happened. It made your phobia worse.

The guy stopped the boat once you were far out. You were in the middle of nowhere and it frightened you.

"Come on (y/n), lets go underwater", Mingyu said, holding your hand.

"Um...you go. I'll wait here", you said.

"Or you can do something else..", the other guy said.

Mingyu looked at him curiously, wondering what else can be done in the middle of the ocean.

"How do you feel about swimming with sharks? We have a cage attached to the boat", the guy said.

"No waaaaay. (Y/n), we have to do it. It'll be our only opportunity before we leave", Mingyu said, looking back at you.

You got closer to the cage, leaning forward as you saw a bunch of fish swimming around. As soon as you heard a creaking sound, you pushed yourself back.

"No I don't want to", you said.

"Come on. It's harmless. You have to do it", the guy said.

"No. Mingyu you can do it if you want but I don't want to", you said, passing the guy.

He grabbed your wrist and pulled you back to show you the water but you ended up tripping back, falling into the water. You splashed around, yelling and screaming. Mingyu quickly jumped in and helped you out of the water.

"(Y/n), are you okay??", Mingyu asked, noticing you were a bit jumpy.

You pushed his hands away and walked towards the end of the boat, sitting away from them as far as possible.

"We should go back", Mingyu said to the guy.

"I'm sorry. I didn't mean for that to happen", the guy said before starting the boat.

You brought your legs up and hugged your knees, staring out into the water. You felt Mingyu sit next to you, sighing as he tried to look at you.

"I didn't know you were afraid of the water. I wouldn't have brought up the idea of diving if I knew", he said.

"I'm not afraid of the water. I'm afraid of what's in the water", you mumbled.

"I don't...understand..", he said.

"..a few years ago, my dad took me fishing on his boat. He told me to stay sitting dow but I got curious and leaned over to look at the fish. I leaned too far that I ended up falling in the water. I knew how to swim...but I felt something sharp on my leg. I didn't know what was going on until my dad's friend yelled 'shark'. There was a lot of blood and I thought I was gonna die. When you asked about going diving, I really wanted to say no but I didn't want you to get upset", you said, feeling embarrassed.

"You were attacked by a shark? Why didn't you tell me?", he asked.

You sighed before lifting up your shorts, revealing a huge scar from the incident.

"I didn't want you to see me as disgusting", you said.

"I would never find you disgusting. But next time if you're not comfortable about going somewhere, tell me. The last thing I want is for you to relive something that terrible", he said, wrapping his arm around you.

You kept looking down at the scar that was on your upper thigh. You wondered who would love someone like this. Someone who doesn't look perfect. Mingyu noticed the look on your face so he kneeled down in front of you and placed a small kiss on your leg. You were taken aback as you felt his lips on your leg. He smiled up at you and brushed down your shorts to cover the scar. He sat back down next to you and pulled you closer to him, kissing you cheek.

"When we get back, let's do something that you wanna do. So why do you wanna do?", he asked.

You thought about it for a while. You wondered what is there that you two haven't done. But then you realized that you have spent all your time exploring.

"Let's just go back to the hotel. I wanna cuddle with you", you said.

"Cuddle?", he asked, raising an eyebrow.

"Yeah. What's wrong with cuddling?", you asked.

"Nothing", he shook his head, smiling off to the distance.

He intertwined his hand with yours and continued enjoying the view until we arrived to the deck. You were glad that he understood your situation with your past.
