A-Z: Travlyn

Hello everybody, and welcome to my Travlyn A-Z one shot chapter! I would like to mention that the art above is by @MilkyLife on Instagram. The characters featured in this book all belong to Aphmau on YouTube. This is in no way canon to the original storyline. (Note: [EDIT] The Travlyn child's name has been changed to match my personal head canon.) Without further ado, please enjoy the first chapter of my A-Z Book!

...
A- Affection
Travis was known to be flirtatious, and although he didn't admit it, he was in constant need of affection. Whether it was cuddling Katelyn in bed while she was reading, or simply hugging her while she was making dinner. Eventually, Katelyn caught on to this, and would occasionally give her boyfriend kisses on the cheek to satisfy his craving whilst she went about her daily tasks.
Today, however, Katelyn was too busy with moving in to bother.
Travis was moody, grumbling as he hauled boxes around the new apartment. He was happy they were moving in together, sure; but without her affection he felt like he was unimportant.
"Katelyn, how many more boxes?" Travis whined, approaching her. Katelyn sighed, and smiled at his antics before reaching up to give him a peck on the lips. "You didn't think I really forgot, did you Travis? Thanks for your hard work."
And with that, Travis thrusted his arm in victory as the bluenette laughed.

B- Braiding
Katelyn wasn't one for hair care, nor was she one for fashion. When Travis insisted that they tried their best to look good on their double date tonight, she was not into the idea whatsoever.
"I know! I'll braid your hair!" Travis exclaimed, grabbing a nearby brush and hair tie.
Katelyn cringed, moving her head away from him. "Nope. You are not braiding my hair, Travis."
But despite her cries of annoyance, the white haired male brushed her angry comments aside and delicately braided her light blue hair. Travis was careful not to hurt her, and once he was finished, Katelyn checked out her hair in the mirror.
"Huh, you actually did a pretty good job. Where'd you learn to braid, anyway?" Katelyn questioned, and Travis just shrugged.
"I used to do it on my little cousin all the time," As Travis walked away to gel his own hair, he turned around to meet her eyes.
"By the way, you look beautiful no matter what your hair looks like."
And with that, Katelyn was left a blushing mess.
C- Crying
She couldn't hold it back anymore. The tears were filling her eyes as the photo album of her brother, Kasey, flooded memories back to her like a tidal wave. Anguished sobs echoed through her bedroom, and Travis quickly ran to knock on her closed door at the sound.
"Katelyn, please.. let me in," Travis said from beyond the door.
Katelyn was too stubborn to let him comfort her. "No. Go away, I'm fine."
Travis sighed, opening the door despite her orders. Katelyn glared at him at first, eyes brimming with fresh tears, before her gaze softened as her boyfriend tackled her in a hug.
"Don't ever be afraid to cry, Katelyn. It's okay to show your emotions. Just know I'm always here for you."
Travis ran his fingers through her hair lovingly, as Katelyn's crying slowed. "I-I'm sorry. I'm sorry, Travis. I love you," Katelyn hugged him tighter, and Travis felt his heart flutter. He wouldn't trade this moment for the world.

D- Dog
"Travis, please? We have an apartment now!"
Katelyn was begging her boyfriend Travis to buy her a puppy. Sure, she wasn't known to be very affectionate, but animals were her soft spot.
"Katelyn, I don't know if it's such a good idea. Wouldn't it remind you of.." Travis trailed off, not wanting to ruin her excited mood.
Of Ein and the Werewolves.
The smile on her face, however, was too good to take away. Travis sighed, shaking his head reluctantly.
"Trust me, Baby, I would love to. But there isn't enough room for it to play, and-"
"I'll take it for walks! Please, Travis?" Katelyn stared up at him, longingly.
Oh no. Don't do the puppy eyes!
..Of course, they ended up with a new furry member of the family that day, and Katelyn was overjoyed.
"I'm going to name him Puff, like my Dad's Strawberry Puffs!"
Travis just smiled, giving her a kiss on the forehead.

E- Earrings
As much as she hated to admit it, Katelyn was nervous.
No, nervous was an understatement. She was terrified.
Travis squeezed her hand, reassuring her that it would only hurt for a second. The earring gun sitting next to Katelyn taunted her, the cold rubbing alcohol that the worker so gingerly applied giving her goosebumps.
And suddenly, before she could change her mind, the needle was placed outside of her earlobe.
Click.
"It's over?" Katelyn asked, not feeling a thing.
"It's over," Travis reassured, helping her pick out new earrings as she hopped down from the chair.
"That wasn't half as bad as I thought it would be," Katelyn mused, her lips curving into a grin. "Though, I still hate needles."
Travis just laughed and grabbed her hand, showing her a pair of pretty pearl earrings hanging on the rack. "Your birthstone, right?"
Katelyn chucked. "You remembered.."

F- First Time (PG-13)
"Travis.."
Travis froze. All of his time being flirtatious was nothing compared to this. She was literally begging for him to touch her. Katelyn. Begging him.
His brain short circuited, and Katelyn stared up at him, getting frustrated.
"Hurry up already.." Katelyn murmured, starting to lose the passion she was feeling a few minutes ago.
"S-Sorry! It's just, your so beautiful, and I.." Travis trailed off, gingerly touching her bare stomach before pulling away, expecting to be slapped. She didn't touch him.
Wow. Okay.
And with that Travis was all over her, his nervousness fading away as he kissed her lips passionately. Katelyn squirmed under his touch, her need growing stronger.
"Mm.. Travis..~" She mused, her lips pursing. The boy smirked, adrenaline coursing through his veins as he fondled her.
I could get used to this, he thought.

G- Gifts
Travis smiled, giving his girlfriend the gift he'd longed to give her for months.
It was a shiny silver ring, capped with a blue diamond.
No, he wasn't proposing; Although he'd thought about it.
He just believed his blueberry deserved the best gifts he could afford, because she was priceless to him. Every time he looked into her eyes he could feel himself get lost in them. The gaze Travis fell in love with when he was in High School, and was still in love with now was staring intently back at him as Katelyn untied the blue satin ribbon on the tiny box.
"You aren't proposing, are you?" She slyly retorted, and Travis shook his head.
"Not yet,"
"Dork."
Her eyes met the ring, and she beamed a bright grin. "Travis.. this is way to expensive! You shouldn't spend-" Katelyn was cut off by Travis. "Yeah, yeah. I shouldn't spend money on you. Too late for that."
Katelyn gave him a kiss, and slipped on the ring.
"It's beautiful. Thank you, Travis."

H- Her
Her hips. Her eyes. Her laugh.
The only thing Travis could think about was her. The smile he'd craved to see for a month was all the way overseas, and he had to stick with Skype and voice calling to satisfy his craving. It wasn't enough. He wanted to be able to touch her, stroke her hair, kiss her on the cheek-
But alas, he was in China for a business trip. Stupid job.
His phone vibrating shook him from his daydreams, and he read the caller eagerly.
Katelyn 💙 Is Calling..
Travis picked up right away, beaming brightly as he saw her through the screen of his laptop. She was in bed, curled up with the stuffed animal he'd won her years ago in Love~Love Paradise.
"I miss you," She murmured, and Travis could tell Katelyn was blushing madly, even through the video call. "B-But don't get used to that! It's just because you've been gone for more than a month.." She squeezed the stuffed animal tightly. Travis sighed, laughing. "Of course it is, Blueberry, of course it is."
Katelyn yelled through the screen at the nickname, and Travis turned down his volume on his laptop.
"Yelling won't work, you know. I have a mute button now.." Travis smirked, and Katelyn puffed out her cheeks.
"Whatever. Bye."
Travis let out a little heartbroken cry as she hit the Call End button. "No! Katelyn!"
Travis 💚 Is Calling...
Ignore Call.
Travis 💚 Is Calling...
Answer Call.
"What is it, dufus?"
"I'm sorry, I love you!"

I- Imagine
"Katelyn?"
"Yeah?"
"Do you think we'll ever.. you know, have a family someday?"
Katelyn froze. "Were not even married yet, idiot!"
Travis snickered at her Katelyn-like reaction. "Yeah, I know.. but we will be someday!"
"Not if I say no to the proposal!"
Travis acted fake wounded, hand over his chest. "You wouldn't!" He fake gasped, pretending to clench his chest.
Katelyn sighed, flushing. "No, you're right.. I wouldn't. I love you too much," She turned away from him, her cheeks burning. "Wow! Stubborn Katelyn admitting she's wrong? Blasphemy!" Travis said, in a fake British accent. Katelyn was set off at that, yelling angrily, "Well maybe I will consider that rejection of the proposal now!"
"Nooo, Katelyn!"
She punched him, and Travis braced for it, dizzily responding, "Fine. Then I guess I just won't imagine a family or a life with you then."
For some reason, Katelyn didn't like the idea that he didn't want to be with her, despite her anger and bashful reactions to his flirtatious remarks. "W-Well.. I mean.. you don't have to stop imagining it.." Travis smiled, meeting his gaze. He leaned in for a kiss, and surprisingly Katelyn obliged, kissing back. When Travis pulled away, he chuckled. "You really can never make up your mind, can you?"

J- Just Kidding
April 1st was a painful day for Travis Valkrum. His girlfriend couldn't stop playing pranks on him, and although he didn't mind seeing her laughing, he did mind when she was laughing at his demise. First, it started with the toothpaste in the Oreo Cookies.
"Katelyn, why do our Oreos taste like Colgate washed them in mouthwash?" Travis chokes at the awful taste in his mouth, the cookie flooding his senses with mint and bitter sweetness.
"Hahah! You totally fell for it! April fools, Travis!"
And he was okay with it after the taste faded off of his tongue. He even shared a laugh about it, later. But then the next prank happened, which Travis deemed to be uncalled for.
"Hey.. Travis?" Katelyn whimpered from the bathroom, her eyes averting his gaze.
"Yeah, Babe?"
She was holding a pregnancy stick. "Oh Irene, don't tell me.."
Katelyn pretended to sigh, flipping around the test stick to show him two drawn on lines. However, Travis seemed to fall for it.
"B-But when? We used protection, and I-"
"Pfft.." Katelyn began to crack, bursting into laughter as Travis groaned, remembering the date. "You actually had me scared for a second there! Don't do that again!" Travis said, upset.
"It's okay, I was just kidding Travis! I'm sorry!" She hugged him, as Travis grumbled something about 'falling for the oldest trick in the book.'
"I forgive you."

K- Kisses (PG-13 ish)
She was kissing him.
Katelyn was kissing him. And for some reason, she didn't pull back.
It wasn't a quick kiss, either, one that Travis recounted to be around 10 seconds long before they pulled away for air. His mind was fogged up from her actions, the taste of her chap stick overpowering everything else around him. Damn, she was cute.
Katelyn but her lip shyly as she looked up at him, hands still clasped around his cheeks. Her legs were shaking, and Travis could tell that every fiber of her being was scared of his reaction. So, Travis didn't give her a reaction. He just leaned in to kiss her again, pushing her back against the wall. His lips were sore from kissing her after a while, and the two of them just stared at each other, not saying much, if anything. The only thing Katelyn could make out of Travis' words was "I love you," over and over again, muffled by their kisses.

L- Loving Her
Travis loved her. He knew he loved her, just like he'd always known.
Ever since High School, Katelyn had been the apple of his eye. Sure, he wasn't exactly as smooth back then as he would consider himself to be now, but his feelings for her never wavered. They were just as strong as they were then as they were now.
Travis made sure to show that to her any chance he got.
Katelyn, on the other hand, had just recently discovered her love for him. She didn't know she'd loved him until just a year ago, when she found herself wishing she was holding his hand. Though, she believed that she'd loved him longer than she initially thought.
Travis' kisses made her knees feel weak. Her stomach did flips every time he touched her, which was a way she'd never felt before. Even the guys she'd dated in High School didn't make her feel this way.
Which was why Katelyn tried to show him, as much as her stubbornness would allow, how much she loved him.

M- Mine
Travis didn't like it one bit. Kai was eyeing up his girlfriend again- his self-proclaimed future wife.
Nope, nope. She was his. And Travis was determined to prove that to the Meif'wa even if he had to force it into the tiny little brain of his--
"Travis! Hey, I haven't seen you in a while," Kai greeted him, obviously trying to get on his good side. Or at least, that was what Travis had thought, anyway.
"Hey, Kai," Travis responded through gritted teeth, putting an arm around Katelyn protectively.
"Travis," Katelyn whispered, warning him.
"What?"
"Knock it off, Valkrum. She obviously doesn't like the way you're touching her," Kai snapped, trying to pull Katelyn close to him.
"Kai! No, it's not that. Really, it's anything but that! He's my boyfriend. He can just get.. protective sometimes."
Katelyn wriggled out of the Meif'wa's grasp, back into Travis' arms.
That's my Katelyn.
Travis gave her a peck on the cheek, signaling Kai that it was his time to leave the scene. "Sorry," Travis murmured. "It's okay, I know you just want the best for me. Even so, though, don't be so pushy!" Katelyn scolded, and Travis hung his head in embarrassment. "I won't be from now on. Promise."

O- "OMI"
"Oh my Irene!" Kawaii~Chan shrieked, as Travis took Katelyn's hand in his. "You two are such a perfect ship!" She squealed, and the Meif'wa's boyfriend Zane tried to shush her, apologizing. "Nah, it's okay. I'd only expect it from KC anyways," Katelyn chuckled. Travis on the other hand, just smirked. "Don't tell me you have a shipping shrine?" The white haired male teased, half expecting Kawaii~Chan to not answer seriously. "Oops.." The cat girl murmured, under her breath. "I'm sorry! Travlyn is just too cute!" She whined, and Zane just shook his head. "Nana- er, Kawaii~Chan - let's leave them alone. They probably have some making out to do," Zane laughed, lowly. Travis scoffed at him. "Yeah, you're just jealous that you don't have the moves to make out with Kawaii~Chan the way I do with Katelyn!" Travis yelled at him. Katelyn hushed him up, as Kawaii~Chan squealed to the heavens.

P- Popsicles
"Mm, this is so good!" Katelyn devoured her popsicle, as Travis snickered at her. "What?" Katelyn crossed her arms, clearly confused and annoyed. "It's hot outside!"
Travis just laughed more, however. "Yeah, but you have some on your face. Not to mention your tongue is all blue," Travis teased, wiping her face with his thumb. Katelyn pouted, finishing her popsicle and reading the stick.
"Oh yeah, I forgot; those things have jokes and stuff on them, don't they?" Travis asked, looking over her shoulder. Katelyn turned to him, trying not to laugh.
"Hey Travis. Knock knock."
"Who's there?"
"Honeybee."
"Honeybee who?"
"Honey, be a dear and go and get me another popsicle, would you?"
Travis cringed at how corny the joke was, but he complied and went to go and get his girlfriend another popsicle anyway. "You're lucky I love you," Travis called, opening the freezer.

Q- Quiet
"Shh!" Travis shushed Katelyn, who was up late reading. Travis could hear the sounds of her pages flipping for the past two hours, and he wasn't sure how much more he could take of it.
"I'm trying to sleep, Kate."
"Then go to sleep."
"You're keeping me awake!"
Katelyn scoffed at him, rolling her eyes. "I'm making barely any noise. If you're such a light sleeper, go sleep on the couch!" She exclaimed, as Travis grumbled in his pillow.
"But you keep me warm!" Travis complained, cuddling into her side. Katelyn just sighed and bookmarked her place, putting the book down on their bedside table. "Okay, fine."
Travis smiled as he drifted off into sleep, with Katelyn cradled in his arms.
"You're a dork," Katelyn whispered into his ear. "But I love you for it."

R- Raining (PG-13 ish)
It was cold and wet outside. The weather had ruined Katelyn and Travis' picnic date, and neither of them were too happy about it. Travis offered to go another day, but Katelyn just ignored him, staring out the window as thunder rumbled in the distance. "Baby, don't sulk," Travis consoled her. "It'll stop raining eventually."
"Yeah, but I've been looking forward to the picnic all week! It's not fair," Katelyn grumbled, crossing her arms. Travis just sighed, turning her face towards him. "It's okay. How about I make it up to you?" His thumbs traced her jaw, and Katelyn shivered both from anticipation and the cold as he locked his lips with hers. The couple exchanged soft kisses for a little while, before Katelyn murmured into Travis' ear. "Can we take this somewhere warmer?" She asked, whimpering softly as Travis picked her up bridal style, tracing kisses down her neckline.
"Mm.. I love you."

S- Sleepover/Seven Minutes In Heaven (PG13 ish)
Aphmau had planned a sleepover for the group, and of course, that had resulted in the situation that Travis and Katelyn were currently in. It had all started with a dare from Zane, who was feeling particularly petty that day. "If you're so confident about your make-out skills Travis, then I dare you to play Seven Minutes in Heaven with Katelyn. If she doesn't end up kissing you back you owe me ten bucks."
Travis grumbled. "Zane, what the hell?"
Zane smirked, "You aren't chicken, are you Travis?"
And with that, the couple was locked in Aaron's closet. Katelyn wasn't even sure how she ended up in this situation; she had no say in the matter whatsoever as Kawaii~Chan eagerly shoved the couple into the confined space.
Travis's tongue was dancing with hers, her mouth puffy from all of the wanting kisses he'd pressed to her lips. Despite him acting annoyed, Travis claimed he'd "Needed to feel her lips on his all day, anyway." When the couple's time was up, Aphmau slid open the closet door to discover Travis' hands up Katelyn's shirt. They all froze; until Aphmau started squealing.
"Eep! My ship! Zane, you're a genius!"
Zane rolled his eyes.

T- Tea
His hands were wobbly as Travis handed Katelyn her teacup. She accepted gratefully, taking a sip.
He massaged her shoulders, making her feel comfortable, because only Irene knows what she's going through.
Travis gave her a kiss on the cheek, before proceeding to feel the baby bump on her stomach. Katelyn sighed.
"You don't need to be so worried about me," Katelyn mused, her lips forming a tight line across her face. Despite her dismissive demeanor, Travis knew she was worried. Breaking the news to her Father was hard enough.
"You're pregnant? Katelyn, you aren't even married!"
"Dad, it's okay.."
"No! I better see a ring on your finger by the time the baby is born and that's final. You need to have a loving husband who will help you through raising your child!"
"Travis and I are perfectly happy. It's his baby, Dad, I'm not worried about him. He won't leave me."
As the worries clouded her mind, she took another sip of her tea, finding it empty. Sort of like how she felt without Travis's warmth.
Empty.

U- Umbrella
Katelyn shivered from the rain, and her fiancé gave her his coat. Travis was too much of a gentleman- the last time they'd gotten caught in a rainstorm he insisted she should take his sweatshirt, which led to him being sick for almost 2 weeks with a cold. Katelyn scoffed, placing the jacket back over his shoulders.
"Travis, I'm fine. You need it much more than I do," Katelyn concluded, noting the goosebumps on his arms. She pulled out her umbrella, placing it above the two of them. "This is kind of romantic," Travis joked, smiling at her. "Aren't you supposed to kiss me or something?" Katelyn shoved him lightly. "Psh, like I would ever do that," She scoffed. Travis shrugged and kissed her himself, tangling his hands in her wet hair.
"ACHOO!"
"I told you to wear your coat, idiot."

V- Valentines Day
Katelyn held their child in her arms. Travis was busy with his work- Katelyn didn't expect him to do anything for Valentines Day. After all, she had the baby to take care of, and he needed to put food on the table. It was routine. Why should a date change that?
Yet for some reason, Katelyn felt somewhat disappointed. She looked down at her tired hands. They were calloused from gripping the hospital bed; giving birth was a painful process. Her baby boy Trevor cooed at her, his blue eyes gleaming in the light of the room. Katelyn smiled, giving him his pacifier. I wish Travis were here. He loves Trevor's laughter.
And just like magic, she heard the door unlock. Travis walked into their apartment, kissing both her forehead and Trevor's before pulling chocolates out of his work bag.
"I know it's not much.. but, Happy Valentines Day, Katelyn Valkrum."
He smirked at her new last name, which Katelyn giggled at. She accepted the chocolates. "You're a dork."

W- Water
Water. Water was everywhere.
Ever since Trevor had begun walking, he had a fascination with tracking water all over the house. After his baths, he would wander off when Travis wasn't looking and find Katelyn, who would discover the glistening floor and her naked toddler.
"Trevor!"
It was routine. A routine the Valkrum family became used to, so used to in fact that they kept bath towels all over the house in case of any spills. Because oh boy, there were plenty of spills. Trevor would spill his sippy cups, flower vases, and everything and anything in his reach that contained liquid.
Katelyn arrived home one day from grocery shopping to a wet floor, and Trevor sitting in a puddle of water. Travis was rushing around the house trying to clean up the mess his son had made, frantically placing bath towels everywhere to prevent anyone from slipping.
"Travis, how did this happen?"
"I tried to stop him, I swear!"

X- Xylophone
If there was one thing Travis loved, it was playing with his son.
Since his job required him to be out of the house so much, any free time Travis had was spent at Trevor's side. He would usually be messing around with his toys and making his son laugh.
This particular day, however, Katelyn found the pair to be rather loud.
"Daddy!"
Clink Clink.
"Sounds great, Buddy!"
Katelyn opened the playroom door to reveal Travis and her son banging on a toy Xylophone. She sighed in annoyance.
"Travis, can you take that thing somewhere else? I'm trying to cook dinner," Katelyn scoffed.
"You're son is not a thing, Katelyn!" Travis responded, teasing his wife who was obviously not laughing.
"You know what I mean. Outside. Now."
"Momma!" Trevor babbled, toddling his way over to his mother. He reached for her, to which Katelyn picked him up, positioning him on her hip. Trevor smiled at her, giggling as he played with her blue hair.
"Fine, you can keep playing. Just try to keep it down, will you?" Katelyn chuckled, placing her son down next to Travis.
"Yay!"

Y- Yearly Trip
Travis grunted in effort as he strained to load their luggage into the car. They were going to a new adventure resort called "Happiness World," or something along those lines. Aphmau had worked hard to plan it, just like she did every year.
This time, however, they needed to bring baby Trevor along with them.
"Travis, can you pack the diaper bag for the airport?"
"Yeah, sure thing, honey!"
"Call me that again, I dare you!"
Travis laughed. Some things never changed.
"Daddy! Stuffy.." Trevor murmured from his car seat, and Travis pulled out a stuffed bear toy from the trunk before handing it to his son. Trevor hugged it tightly, smiling at his father. It wasn't long before Katelyn got into the car, and the family was off to the airport.
"Where were you guys? We almost missed our flight!" Zane asked, exasperated from running. "For real! We packed Alina's stuff a while ago!" Aaron commented.
"Listen Aaron, Zane.." Travis began, huffing. "Trevor likes to make messes. We don't really have time for packing ahead."

Z- Zippers
"Daddy, I need help!" Trevor cried, his words slurring slightly from his lisp.
It was Trevor's first day of Preschool, and he was having trouble with his zipper. After Travis fumbled with his tie, he bent down to his son's level, and zipped up his winter coat carefully. Katelyn smiled, putting Trevor's lunch in his Captain America backpack, before zipping that up as well.
"Say bye to Daddy, Trevor, he has to go to work now," Katelyn said nudging her son towards his father.
"Bye-bye Daddy! Work hard today!" Trever hugged Travis tightly around the leg, to which Travis laughed. "I will, bud. You be good at Preschool today, okay?" He said, grabbing his car keys.
Life was good with the Valkrums. Katelyn smiled as she sent her son off to school.
I miss him already.
...
OH MY GOD--
That was the longest thing I think I've ever written. I'm sorry if there are a heck of a lot of typos or bad prompts, but I tried my best ;u; I hope I could satisfy your Travlyn needs. I'm probably going to do Zane ~Chan next, but it will take a while, so be patient young grasshoppers. I love you all, goodbye for now!
(PS. This is dedicated to my friend xKittehh, AKA arguably Travlyn's #1 fan. I love you Kit!!)
