part twenty two

After a long day of cleaning and tidying up, I decided to treat everyone to a well-deserved break with some takeout. I was excited about ordering pizza, knowing how much everyone would enjoy it. I placed the order, anticipating the arrival of the warm, cheesy pizza with all its delicious toppings.

When the pizza finally arrived, I called the boys to the kitchen. Their eyes lit up with excitement as they saw the boxes of pizza stacked on the counter. It was heartwarming to see their reactions; it made me realize how much they appreciated simple pleasures.

“Pizza’s here!” I announced with a grin, opening the boxes to reveal the steaming slices.

Jungkook’s eyes widened with delight. “Oh, wow! Pizza! I’ve heard so much about this.”

Namjoon, unable to contain his excitement, immediately reached for a slice. “This is amazing! I’ve never had pizza before.”

I watched as the boys eagerly grabbed their slices. Their reactions were a mix of awe and pleasure. It struck me how something as simple as pizza could bring them so much joy.

“Really? You’ve never had pizza before?” I asked, surprised.

Jin shook his head, taking a bite of his slice. “Nope. The previous owners never gave us fast food or anything like that. They mostly stuck to basic meals.”

My heart ached a little at their words. It was hard to imagine them missing out on such simple joys. I had always assumed they had been treated well, but hearing this made me realize how much they had been deprived of.

“I’m so sorry to hear that,” I said, feeling a pang of guilt. “I promise to always make sure you get to enjoy the things you like. From now on, I’ll try to include fun treats like pizza whenever I can.”

The boys exchanged glances, and I could see the gratitude in their eyes. Jimin, ever the charmer, smiled warmly at me. “That’s really kind of you, Rosie. We’re just happy to be able to experience these things with you.”

As they dug into their pizza, their contentment was evident. It was a sight that filled me with a sense of accomplishment. I was glad I could provide them with something they had never experienced before.

Hobi, with a mouthful of pizza, said, “This is incredible. I can’t believe we missed out on this for so long.”

Yoongi, who had been savoring his slice, nodded in agreement. “It’s like a whole new world of flavors. We really appreciate this, Rosie.”

I smiled, feeling a mix of happiness and determination. It was moments like these that reminded me why I had taken on this responsibility. I wanted to make sure the boys felt loved and cared for, and if that meant indulging them with pizza and other treats, then that was exactly what I would do.

As the evening wore on and the boxes of pizza were emptied, the boys continued to express their gratitude. They enjoyed their meal and the time spent together, sharing stories and laughter. It was a perfect ending to a long day, and I felt a deep sense of satisfaction knowing that I was making a difference in their lives.

After dinner, as the boys began to clear away the remnants of the pizza, I found myself reflecting on the day’s events. The simple act of ordering pizza had created such a positive impact. It was a reminder of the importance of small gestures and how they could bring people closer together.

Namjoon, with a satisfied grin, looked at me and said, “Thanks again for the pizza, Rosie. It really made our day.”

I gave him a warm smile. “You’re welcome, Namjoon. I’m glad you enjoyed it.”

As we cleaned up, I made a mental note to continue making these small but meaningful gestures. It was clear that the boys cherished every bit of the attention and care they received. Their happiness and appreciation were all the motivation I needed to keep making their lives better.

The evening ended on a high note, with the boys happily chatting and relaxing. I felt a sense of fulfillment knowing that I had provided them with something special and that they felt valued. It was a reminder of why I was so committed to making this work, and it made me look forward to many more shared moments of joy and togetherness.

It was a calm evening at the house. After a busy day, the boys and I were lounging around the living room. The TV was playing softly in the background, and everyone was enjoying a moment of relaxation. As I was flipping through a magazine, Jungkook was sprawled on the sofa, absently scrolling through his phone.

Suddenly, Jungkook let out a loud yelp, causing everyone to jump in surprise. I looked up, puzzled, to see Jungkook's face contorted in horror as he pointed towards the corner of the room.

“There’s a bug!” he exclaimed, his voice almost a squeal.

I squinted in the direction he was pointing and saw a small, harmless insect crawling across the floor. It was nothing to be scared of, but Jungkook was treating it like a major threat.

Namjoon, who was sitting next to him, looked over with a smirk. “It’s just a bug, Jungkook. It’s not going to hurt you.”

Jungkook’s eyes were wide with panic as he jumped up from the couch, his usual bravado replaced by sheer terror. “I can’t deal with bugs! They’re terrifying!”

I couldn’t help but laugh at the sight. Jungkook, usually so confident and brave, was cowering from a tiny insect. It was both amusing and endearing.

“Don’t worry,” I said, trying to calm him. “I’ll take care of it.”

Before I could move, Jungkook had already leaped into action. He dramatically reached for a nearby magazine and waved it around, trying to shoo the bug away. His exaggerated movements were hilarious, and I couldn’t stop giggling.

In a moment of desperation, Jungkook decided to use his dragon powers. He took a deep breath, and with a determined look in his eyes, he prepared to unleash his fire. The small insect was now directly in his line of sight.

“No, Jungkook, wait—” I started, but it was too late.

With a dramatic whoosh, Jungkook released a small burst of fire from his mouth. The bug was instantly engulfed in flames, and within seconds, it was reduced to a crisp.

Jungkook stood triumphantly, his chest puffed out in pride. “Got it!” he declared, a grin spreading across his face.

The room erupted in laughter. I clapped my hands, trying to catch my breath from laughing so hard. “Well, that’s one way to deal with a bug!”

Namjoon shook his head, still chuckling. “I guess Jungkook wasn’t going to let that little guy escape.”

Jungkook looked slightly embarrassed but pleased with himself. He gave a small shrug and said, “I didn’t want to take any chances. Bugs are scary!”

Hobi, who had been watching the whole scene with a mix of amusement and sympathy, nodded in agreement. “You’re right, Jungkook. Bugs can be pretty unsettling. I’d probably use my powers too if it came down to it.”

Jungkook’s eyes widened slightly, as if realizing he wasn’t alone in his fear. “See, Hobi gets it!” he said, relieved to have some solidarity.

Hobi grinned. “Definitely. Sometimes a bug’s gotta go, and if fire’s the answer, then so be it.”

Yoongi, who usually maintained a cool demeanor, had a rare smile on his face as he teased Jungkook. “Next time, maybe just use a shoe or something. You don’t need to incinerate every bug you see.”

Jungkook’s cheeks flushed with a mix of embarrassment and amusement. “I’ll remember that. But seriously, I wasn’t taking any risks.”

As the laughter settled, I grabbed my notebook and scribbled a quick note. "Reminder: Keep bugs away from Jungkook and Hobi." I had already noted down their quirks and preferences, but this was a new addition to make sure everyone stayed comfortable and happy.

Looking around at my new family, I felt grateful for the simple joys and the bond we were creating with each passing day. The evening had been a testament to how even the smallest events could bring us closer together, and I was thankful for each of these unique moments.
