part six
After my conversation with Taehyung, I headed inside to find the wolves—Hobi and Jimin. I found them lounging in the common area, their relaxed postures and casual demeanor immediately adding a lively energy to the space.
“Hey, Hobi, Jimin,” I greeted as I approached, trying to keep my voice steady despite feeling a bit nervous. “I wanted to ask you both about your needs and habits, so I can make sure everyone is comfortable.”
Hobi looked up with a playful glint in his eyes, while Jimin gave me a wide, flirtatious grin. “Sure thing,” Hobi said, his tone smooth and inviting. “What do you want to know?”
As I tried to focus on the task at hand, I couldn’t help but notice the way their gazes lingered on me. Their eyes seemed to undress me with their intensity, making me blush and squirm under their scrutiny. I felt a mix of embarrassment and an odd fluttering sensation in my stomach.
Swallowing hard, I mustered the courage to continue. “Um, yes. I need to know about your specific needs. What do you require to feel comfortable?”
Jimin leaned in slightly, his gaze never leaving mine. “Well, we both have a few things to share. For one, we need space to shift into our wolf forms and run around. It’s important for us to have room to move and exercise in our natural state.”
Hobi nodded in agreement, his eyes still fixed on me with an almost predatory focus. “Exactly. Shifting and running are crucial for our well-being. It helps us stay in touch with our instincts and maintain our health. We also need access to a secure area where we can shift and run without worry.”
I blushed deeper as their attention made me feel increasingly self-conscious. “I understand. I’ll make sure there’s plenty of space for you both to shift and exercise. Is there anything else you need or prefer?”
Jimin’s smile widened, and he gave a slight chuckle. “Oh, and we love being scratched and petted until we shift into our wolf forms. It’s really soothing for us. Plus, we’re pretty affectionate and will end up cuddling with you and demanding attention.”
Before I could respond, Jimin patted the spot next to him on the couch. “Why don’t you come sit here?” he said, his voice smooth. “It’s more comfortable.”
Hesitantly, I sat down beside him, feeling the warmth of his body close to mine. Jimin quickly maneuvered to have me on his lap, his arms gently encircling me. My face flushed a deep red, and I could feel my heart pounding in my chest.
“See? Much better,” Jimin said with a teasing grin. “We’re affectionate creatures. You’ll get used to it.”
Hobi chuckled softly from beside us. “And don’t be surprised if we demand more attention. It’s just how we are. We like being close and showing our appreciation.”
I managed a shy smile, feeling the heat of their gazes and the comforting weight of Jimin’s embrace. “Got it. Space for running, a cozy spot to rest, and plenty of attention and affection.”
As I settled into Jimin’s lap, I felt a mix of warmth and awkwardness. Despite the blush on my cheeks and the fluttering in my chest, I was grateful for their openness and the chance to understand their needs better. I knew I had to continue meeting with the rest of my new family, but for now, I let myself enjoy this unexpected moment of closeness.
After spending some time with Hobi and Jimin, I headed to find Jin, who was known for his magical abilities. I found him in a spacious room that seemed to serve as his personal practice area. Shelves lined the walls, filled with ancient books and mystical artifacts. Jin was deeply engrossed in his spells, his wand gracefully moving through the air.
“Hey, Jin!” I called out, trying to get his attention without startling him too much.
Jin looked up momentarily, his eyes focused and intense as he continued his incantations. Suddenly, a book on one of the shelves began to wobble ominously. Before I could react, the book shot through the air, aimed directly at where I was standing.
“Watch out!” Jin shouted, his eyes widening in alarm as he realized what was happening.
I jumped to the side, narrowly avoiding the flying book as it whizzed past me and hit the wall with a thud. My heart raced, and I stared at Jin with a mixture of surprise and concern.
“I’m so sorry!” Jin said, rushing over to me with an apologetic expression. “I didn’t see you there. I’m still getting the hang of this new spell.”
I took a deep breath, trying to calm my racing heart. “It’s alright, Jin. I’m just glad I didn’t get hit. I was actually looking to talk to you about your needs and any specific preferences you might have.”
Jin let out a relieved sigh and nodded. “Of course. I’m really sorry about that. Let’s sit down and talk.”
We settled into a nearby set of comfortable chairs, and Jin began to explain. “As you might know, I’m a wizard, so I need a space where I can practice my magic without too many distractions. It’s important for me to have an area where I can focus and work on my spells safely.”
I nodded, making notes. “Got it. A dedicated space for practicing magic. Anything else?”
Jin looked thoughtful for a moment. “Yes, I also need a few personal items to help with my spells, like enchanted ingredients and artifacts. And it’s important that the space is secure, as some spells can have unexpected effects.”
I smiled, appreciating the clarity of his needs. “I’ll make sure you have a designated area for your magical work and that you have access to the necessary items. I’ll also ensure the space is safe and secure.”
Jin’s expression softened with gratitude. “Thank you. And again, I’m really sorry about the book. I’ll make sure to be more careful.”
“No harm done,” I said with a reassuring smile. “I appreciate you taking the time to explain everything.”
With our discussion wrapped up, Jin returned to his spell practice, this time with a bit more caution. I left the room feeling more informed about his needs and looking forward to meeting the last member of my new family.
As I wrapped up my online shopping for the various needs of my new family members, I noticed that several hours had passed. The sun was beginning to set, casting a warm glow through the windows. I was almost finished with placing the last of the orders when I felt a presence behind me.
Turning around, I found Yoongi standing in the doorway, his gaze fixed on me with an intense, contemplative expression. His eyes were focused and unblinking, as if he were still assessing whether I was truly the right fit for his unique situation.
I cleared my throat, trying to mask my unease. “Hi, Yoongi. I didn’t see you there. Is there something you need?”
Yoongi didn’t immediately respond, his eyes still scrutinizing me. “I was just watching,” he finally said, his tone as calm and measured as ever. “Seeing how you handle everything.”
I felt a flush of nerves but tried to maintain my composure. “I’m just finishing up with the shopping. I wanted to make sure I had everything you all need. Is there anything specific you’d like to add or any concerns you have?”
Yoongi’s gaze softened slightly, though his intensity remained. “It’s not just about the things you buy. It’s about how you manage everything. How you’re dealing with each of us and making sure we’re all comfortable.”
I nodded, feeling a mix of apprehension and determination. “I understand. I’m doing my best to make sure everyone’s needs are met and that we all get along well. I want to create a home where everyone feels comfortable and valued.”
He seemed to consider this for a moment before giving a slight nod. “It’s important to me that you’re sincere about this. It’s not just about providing material things but understanding and supporting us.”
I took a deep breath, trying to convey my sincerity. “I really do want to support all of you. I know it’s a lot to handle, and I’m learning as I go, but I’m committed to making this work.”
Yoongi’s gaze remained steady, but there was a hint of approval in his eyes. “I see. Well, I’m watching closely. It’s important to see if you’re truly committed.”
I managed a small, reassuring smile. “Thank you for giving me the chance. I won’t let you down.”
With that, Yoongi gave a curt nod and turned to leave, his presence still lingering in the room. I exhaled slowly, feeling both relieved and motivated. I was determined to prove myself and ensure that my new family felt both cared for and respected.
As Yoongi stood in the doorway, his eyes still locked on me, he seemed to weigh his next words carefully. “By the way,” he began, his tone measured and direct, “I know you slept with Namjoon and Jungkook.”
I blinked, feeling a flush of embarrassment as I tried to process his statement. “Oh, that. Yes, I did. But it was just to help them feel comfortable in their new environment. Nothing happened beyond that.”
Yoongi’s gaze remained steady. “I figured as much. If something more had occurred, I would have been able to smell or hear it.”
Relief washed over me as I realized he wasn’t judging me harshly but rather acknowledging his awareness of the situation. “I’m glad to hear that. I really just wanted to make them feel at home. They were having a hard time adjusting, and I thought it would help them settle in.”
Yoongi gave a nod of understanding, his expression softening slightly. “I appreciate your effort to make everyone comfortable. It’s important for them to feel secure and cared for.”
I managed a shy smile, feeling a bit more at ease. “Thank you for understanding. I just want to do my best to support everyone.”
Yoongi gave me a brief, approving nod before turning to leave. “Just make sure you continue being sincere. It’s important for everyone’s well-being.”
With that, he walked away, leaving me with a sense of both relief and determination. I was committed to proving that my intentions were genuine and that I was capable of creating a supportive and caring environment for my new family.
