The two kings walked you towards a grand entrance leading into a room looking very familiar to the throne room you had been escorted into earlier.
"Oh! It's lovely!" You exclaimed, pausing as you walked into the room.
The room was a general gold color; brightly lit and sparkling. Large paintings of the kings were around the enormous room, and there were 7 thrones in this room as well, along the farthest wall, though less glorious compared to the actual throne room. The floor looked like polished marble, but the golden lighting made it look the same hue as the rest of the room. Grand chandeliers hung down from the lofty ceiling, and you sighed at the beauty of the room.
"I take it you like it then?" Hoseok chuckled, letting go of your arm to let you take a second to look about the room. The two men watched you spin around as you took everything in with a bright smile.
"Of course!" You gasped, looking back at the kings. Clasping your hands, you sighed, thinking about every dream you'd ever had about princesses and balls and grand ball rooms. This room met every expectation you'd ever had, and then some.
"Well, my lady, how much experience do you have in ballroom dancing?" Jungkook asked, pulling your attention back to the brothers.
"Uh... well in like 7th grade gym class I learned how to do the box step..." You said, knowing full well that it was nothing compared to what these men knew.
The looks on the brothers' faces proved your point exactly.
"I have no idea what that means but I'm guessing you know next to nothing then." Jungkook said, his face changing from confused to sly. "We can help you learn if you want."
You froze, the idea of dancing in a beautiful ballroom in your beautiful dress with these beautiful men was something you could have only dreamt of a couple days ago. Now you had the opportunity and it took everything in you not to jump into their arms and squeal.
"Yes, yes please!" You said, trying to keep your voice calm, although the excitement still slipped out. Hoseok beamed, while Junkook crossed his arms and smirked.
"Here... give me your hand and I want you to act like you're floating as you prance around me lightly." Hoseok said, boldly offering you his hand.
It was at eye level so you reached up and lightly placed your fingers on top of his own. You remembered from 7th grade that you dont actually grab hands at this point - which is called the introduction - you just rest fingers on each other's hands. You slowly began to "prance" around him, making sure your movements were light and flowy.
"Good! Except dont look so frightened. Your expressions also make the moment. Remember you're floating, so you are above everyone." Jungkook said, his arms still crossed as he watched you interact with Hoseok.
You tried to relax more into the moment but your nerves were on edge. Having both Hoseok and Jungkook watch you skeptically made you very anxious, and you didn't want to disappoint them.
All of a sudden you felt Hoseok's other hand rest on your side and you jumped. He retracted his hand quickly as if you startled him too and backed off.
"I'm so sorry! Did I startle you?" He asked, his eyes worredly searching your face.
"Yes, I'm sorry, I was lost in my thoughts trying to think about my movements and your hand was just unexpected." You chuckled sheepishly, feeling stupid for jumping and worrying Hoseok. "Don't worry its okay."
"Okay my lady, I do apologize again though." Hoseok said taking a tentative step back and placing his hand on your side. You reached for his hand and lightly laid your own on top, a blush warming your cheeks at the closeness and feel of his hand on your side.
'Its comfortable actually; he obviously knows what he's doing, but oh my god is my heart racing. I cannot believe I'm this close... and oh my god... he even smells good what the heck!?'
Your thoughts and Hoseok's scent were swirling around in your head and when you looked up to find Hoseok staring into your eyes again, you swore your legs melted.
He began to dance with you, and surprisingly it wasnt hard to follow his lead, even if you had no idea what you were doing. He was strong, and guided very well, so you barely had to scramble to find your footing. You did step on his toes a couple of times but he just smiled and swept you away into the dance as if he was used to it.
It was honestly like a dream. He twirled you round and round, holding you close; dancing to the imaginary music he seemed to carry in his mind. Your skirts billowed around you and at one point, Hoseok literally swept you off your feet. You landed, giggling and clasping the older's hand for security, all while smiling up at him and enjoying every swelling moment of the dance with him.
He was smiling back, happy you were enjoying yourself, and occasionally he would tell you where to place your feet and how to move when you changed dance styles; using his hand to guide your waist as help.
Your heart was continually a-flutter; caught up in the magic of the moment and how beautiful everything felt around you until Jungkook cleared his throat, pulling the two of you out of your reverie.
"I do believe I would enjoy a turn with lady Y/n." He said, nodding his head towards you while looking at his older brother.
"Oh, yes Jungkook, sorry. She does pretty well actually, as long as you lead strongly." Hoseok commented, letting go of your side and pulling away.
Desperately, you wished he would come back and keep sweeping you around the ballroom, but Jungkook approached you quickly, and immediately you noticed a different strength in the youngest's form.
"Is that so? We might make a lady out of you yet Y/n." Jungkook laughed, offering you his hand while already boldly placing his other on your side.
"Well, I did say I learned a slight bit of dancing in my youth. And... Hoseok is just a really good dancer apparently. I didn't have to do much." You shrugged, laughing along with the kings.
"That he is. At all the balls he's the most wanted for dancing. So... I'm afraid that means I won't be as good as him, but hopefully, I'll still be able to make up for what you lack." Jungkook winked, looking down on you with his classic smirk.
'It's adorable, but also downright deadly how flirty and attractive he is.'
"I'm sure you'll find SOME way, your majesty. I can't possibly be that horrible to dance with." You rolled your eyes teasingly.
Jungkook felt stronger than Hoseok physically. Yes, the older had been very strong, but he was the limber type that had a surprising amount of hidden strength. Jungkook on the other hand was built (as you had felt on your walk into the palace earlier today) and was quite firm. He wasn't tense though, he was quite relaxed, so his firmness was pure muscle mass.
You blushed as you realized you were thinking too much about the kings' muscles.
When Jungkook began to move, it was very easy to move along with him. His hand on your waist was a great guide, especially since he was strong and able to guide your smaller frame pretty easily.
As you were swept away again to the imaginary music, you enjoyed every second of the feeling of Jungkook dancing with you. Your hair moving in the air, as well as your dress and feet sweeping across the floor, was a feeling you don't think you could ever get tired of.
Though, you realized, you could definitely see why so many women liked to dance with Hoseok. Jungkook is very fluid and very good, but Hoseok held the grace and the art of it.
This clearly was one of the older's strong suits, and you remembered Taehyung mentioning that in the book.
Smiling absentmindedly at the thought of Taehyung's adorable descriptions compared to his real life persona, you found yourself looking up at Jungkook. You noticed the youngest watching you intently, and you quickly looked down again with a blush.
You wanted to talk, but since dancing was taking up most of your focus, it was hard to come up with something that wouldn't sound random or out of place. Besides, you didn't know of many people who made small talk while being twirled around a musicless ballroom.
So, dancing remained your main focus. You danced and danced with both men, the two taking turns and showing you multitudes of dance styles, until your feet hurt and the clock chimed 11 pm all too soon.
"Well..." You said suddenly as you finished your last dance with Hoseok, "that must have been the best experience of my life, besides coming here in the first place!"
The brothers chucked at your exclamation, the both of them breathing heavily as well, though not as bad as you were.
"I'm glad you enjoyed it, my lady. I know I definitely did as well. It's been a while since we've had a ball, and I've missed dancing with a beautiful and talented lady like yourself." Hoseok said, giving you a flirtatious smile.
Stomach dropping at Hoseok's words, you felt a blush rushing through your face, burning all the way up to your head.
'What the heck!?' You exclaimed inwardly. 'What is wrong with me!?'
"Aha, thank you, your majesty, for the compliment. It means a great deal to be considered pretty by you." You managed with a slight curtsey, though you felt stupid for saying it. You knew the two kings could see your blush, and you in turn could see them both suppressing teasing smiles.
"Any time my lady." Hoseok bowed, taking your hand and giving it a sudden kiss.
If the compliment hadn't already made you want to faint, this sure did, and your heart was now doing its own frantic dancing in your chest.
"I hope to dance again with you sometime, but for tonight I believe it is time we retire." Hoseok finished, smiling at you gently.
Heart pounding and head spinning, you nodded, your tiredness from the hours of dancing far from your mind at the moment; your body choosing instead to focus on the burning spot on your hand that Hoseok had kissed.
"Indeed it is late, though may I escort you to your room, my lady?" Jungkook spoke up, drawing your attention back to the second king you had spent your evening with. Blinking to desperately clear your head, you looked at the younger brother and managed a smile.
"Y-yes of course, your majesty. I'd like that very much."
Jungkook looked glad you had agreed, but the look he shared with Hoseok was not as thrilling.
"Then, I believe we shall see you tomorrow Hoseok. Good night bother." Jungkook said with a respectful bow towards his brother, though his words were quite dismissive. Hoseok paused for only a moment, seeming to debate saying something in return before smiling, nodding, and giving a slight bow to the two of you.
"Indeed. Good night then my lady. Good night Jungkook." He said pleasantly, before departing from the ballroom.
"Good night Hoseok." You called after the king, his receding footsteps echoing in the quiet halls of the castle. After a moment you turned, looking at Jungkook quizically.
"Shall we?" Jungkook said, giving you a gentle smile while offering you his hand.
Just as you were about to speak up about the awkward departing of his older brother, Jungkook pulled you close, twirling you around one more time. The sudden action distracted you and made you gasp and giggle. You quickly grabbed onto his shoulder to stabilize yourself.
"What... was that for?" You exclaimed, catching your breath. Jungkook smiled and shrugged.
"I dunno, I just felt like spinning you once more." He said, giving you a childish grin.
"Well, as much as that was fun, I'm afraid my feet are going to fall off in a matter of moments so you best get me to my room if you ever want a chance of dancing with me again." You said, giving him an overdramatic look while placing your hand on your forehead to act like you were going to faint.
"Is that so, my lady?" Jungkook replied, cheekily smiling at you. "Then in that case..."
Jungkook swept you up in his arms bridal style and you almost screamed in response. You clutched your dress to make sure nothing flew up and gave Jungkook a playful glare.
"Okay, my feet aren't that badly damaged, your majesty." You monotoned, awkwardly craning your neck to look at him.
"Would you like me to put you down, my lady?" He chuckled, watching you flusteredly try to remain calm in his arms.
"That would be lovely seeing as I'm sure you couldn't possibly carry me all the way to my room, and my feet still work a good bit." You joked, hoping to God he wouldn't suddenly drop you.
"I definitely could carry you to your room, despite how terribly heavy you are, but... as you wish." Jungkook set you down while you fixed him with an incredulous look.
"Heavy!? I am not heavy!" You exclaimed, but Jungkook started walking out of the ballroom, pretending to ignore you.
"Hey!" You called, running after him while lifting your dress slightly so you didn't fall. Once beside him, you had to walk quickly in order to keep up with him.
"Are you ignoring me?"
Jungkook peeked down at you but said nothing.
"Wha- ugh I can't believe you. You insult me and then ignore me? Some manners you have." You huffed, crossing your arms. You continued to walk briskly into and then down the hallway towards what you hoped was the direction of your room.
Jungkook, ever so playful all of a sudden, took it upon himself to walk even faster, causing you to have to jog - in a dress no less - to keep up.
The guards you passed watched the comical interaction between the two of you with slight amusement.
"Hey, Jungkook-" You began but did not get far because Jungkook stopped suddenly and turned to you.
"Is that how you address a king, my lady?" He stood close to you, making you gulp and look down.
"Oh, I'm sorry your majesty I didn't know how else to get your attention..." You muttered, hoping inwardly you weren't going to get punished for being casual with him.
"I'm just kidding Y/n, you can call me whatever you like." He chuckled, watching your embarrassed reaction turn back into indignation.
"You little..." You raised your hand slightly, but quickly remembered who you were talking to. "I mean... you wonderful king, could you please just slowly escort me to my room?"
Jungkook smirked and nodded, starting off again towards your room. However, this time he was walking so slowly you had to wait up for him.
When you shot him another glare he chuckled and began walking normally again.
"What... you did say slowly." He teased offering you his arm.
You took it but did not look up at him.
"You're lucky you're a king, or else I'd sock you in the face, smartass." You muttered quietly, hoping he wouldn't hear you. But halls that slightly echo don't make good places to mutter things because you knew Jungkook heard you when he chuckled.
"Is that so?" He replied, "Cuz I'd love to see you try, Y/n."
His voice seemed deeper and testing as he said that, but you were so hell-bent on proving to him that you could indeed punch a king and hopefully get away with it that you turned and swung at him without any hesitation.
He of course caught your hand before you were able to get anywhere close to contacting his face.
"Whoa, I didn't think you'd actually attempt that. I thought you were a nice, civilized little lady." He said with an uneasy chuckle, still holding your wrist while you struggled to get out of his grip. He watched you with intensity as he waited for your reaction.
Embarrassment set in a second later when your brain processed what you had just done and the repercussions that could follow for trying to hit a king.
"I-I do apologize for doing that, your majesty, it will never happen again I swear." Your heated indignation turned to anxiousness, hoping you hadn't actually angered him. He was scowling, but you couldn't tell if he was planning on killing you or thinking about making you go stay out in that pig-pen Yoongi had mentioned earlier.
To your complete surprise, although with how tonight had already gone you should have expected it, he smiled and took your arm, starting up the walk to your room again.
"Nah, I just wanted to see if you'd actually do it and I'm pleasantly surprised that you did. It was adorable to see you even attempt it." He chuckled.
You let out your breath in a sigh of relief and placed your hand on your chest to calm yourself.
"Seriously, your majesty, I am sorry, I should not have dared to do that." You said, still trying to make sure he was actually okay with what happened and wasn't going to surprise you with an execution in the morning.
"No its alright. I instigated. Think of it as payback for me calling you drunk and heavy earlier." Jungkook laughed lightly, playfully winking at you. You smiled lightly back and gave an awkward chuckle.
"I guess that works, your majesty." You said, relaxing into an easier smile. "Also I'm older than you, so I'm not a 'little lady'."
"But I outrank you, so ha. And look, here we are." He said, gesturing to the door of your room the two of you were approaching. Rolling your eyes you laughed at his quick retort and change of subject.
"Nice save."
"Oh, any time. Anything to keep you from pulling the age card on me." He teased.
There was a small moment of silence as you approached the door and the guards outside it. Jungkook stopped and turned to stand in front of you before you were able to let go of his arm.
"Y/n... I want you to know I really enjoyed your company tonight. I know I was kinda annoying just now, but I really did enjoy it. I also know Hoseok legitimately meant what he said tonight, and I'm sure he would have liked to say more, but I'll say it instead. It's been a while since any of us have had a female guest to dote on like this, and you have clearly already brought a good amount of excitement back into a couple of our lives. Even for Jin's petunias!" Jungkook laughed, while you giggled thinking about Jin's initial reaction to you accidentally crushing them.
When your laughing stopped, Jungkook grew silent again as he debated what to say to you next. You were going to reply but he squeezed your hands and began to speak again.
"My lady, I know I definitely look forward to you being here for a while and I'm sure most of my brothers would agree. So... I hope you'll decide to stay a bit even if we find a way to send you back." The youngest king looked at you earnestly, and you could feel in the way he was holding your hands that he meant every word.
He looked younger in this moment, as if he were only a young boy asking for you to stay with him. His eyes looked innocent... gentle, and they searched yours with an expression very different from the flirtatious ones he had given you earlier.
"Jungkook, I mean, your majesty, thank you. I hope I'll be able to stay too, but it has only been hours since I arrived. I won't make a final decision yet of course. I do have a life in another world to return to, even if it is rather dull. However, if I find good reasons to stay, I can tell you that there is at least a good possibility I'll stay." You replied, giving a gentle smile and squeezing Jungkook's hands slightly to convey your emotion to him.
This was the first time you had said your full thought process aloud, and as you had said it, you felt more and more assured in your idea. If you were provided with good reasons, enough to compete with the biggest reason of all - returning to your true world and your actual life - then you would stay. If nothing could compete with that reason, then you would have to return home and live out your life the way it originally had started.
"I see. I mean honestly, that is the best I could hope for so soon at least." Jungkook said, giving a small smile. "I'm sure we'll find good reasons for you, my lady." He winked.
"Hmm, I'm sure you'll at least try your best." You smirked back, before a yawn interrupted anything else you might have said.
"And now with that I shall leave you to retire." Jungkook said politely, his kingly air returning as he bowed slightly and kissed your hand as Hoseok had done earlier. This time, however, you saw it coming and it provided less of a heart attack than Hoseok's, though it still made your heart flutter dramatically.
"Thank you, your majesty. I hope you sleep well tonight." You replied, giving a curtsey in return to his bow.
"And you as well, my lady." He said before giving you one last smile before he began down the hallway to his own room. Turning to the door, you nodded to the guards there with a smile and they opened your door for you. You thanked them as they closed it behind you, and they nodded in reply.
Your maids were not in your room and you were hoping that in your absence they had gone to bed. You didn't want to have to keep them up to make them wait on you all the time.
You took your time unlacing your dress and slipping out of it, but you definitely took a long time trying to look in the mirror to figure out how it was done. Finally though, once in your under layers, you looked around for things to wear for bed and were pleasantly surprised to see something on your bed that looked like a nightgown.
There was a note next to it from Genny saying that the girls hoped you had been having fun, and that they had indeed gone to bed, though they were very very sorry they couldn't hear your stories from the day or tend to you like they should.
You smiled at how cute the note was, knowing fully well you'd be hearing apologies from them tomorrow and would have to give them all kinds of details about your night.
You took off you under layers once you finished the note and quickly slipped into the soft, silky nightgown.
When you checked yourself out in the mirror, you realized you still had make-up on. But... there were no convenient and modern make-up wipes at your disposal, so you had to improvise.
Exploring the bathroom you found a small cloth towel and used the sink that had running water to wash your face.
'I'm so glad they have running water here, that's a huge and surprising perk, and I am NOT complaining, but God do I miss my skincare products...' You chuckled to yourself.
Once done rinsing your face and the towel, you used the bathroom, also immensely thankful for a toilet, before you climbed into the large bed, the silky sheets feeling amazing against your tired body. You fell into the fluffy pillows and all the tiredness from the day hit you like a bus.
You were just barely conscious enough to think about your eventful day. The beautiful castle you were staying in, the handsome kings, your maids, and every single event you already experienced in one day. It had only been hours since you had gotten here and yet it felt like a whole week had passed already; the afternoon when you had arrived feeling so far away now.
'So many new customs, places, manners, people, views, things to do... and yet I love it. I wonder if I could actually... truely become accustomed to this life.' You thought dreamily, sleep quickly enveloping your tired body as your mind settled for the night.

By the way some references of what I kinda imagine the ballroom as. You as the reader are of course able to imagine how you want but:
Also for the throne room:
Think of something like this but with 7 thrones.
Up to you guys how you imagine though😁😉
