EPILOGUE - October 31, 2040

What was once a small village of thirty people had multiplied tenfold in the last twenty years. More and more extrauniversals came out of hiding, showing their eyes and Halos with pride. It was no longer something to be ashamed of, but something that a community could be built around.

Ships flying over the skies was completely normal. Earth was coming closer to being at a similar level of advancement to the other universes, slowly but surely. It was a huge extrauniversal tourism spot, and it wasn't uncommon to have hundreds of SuperNovas parked on Mars, waiting to be allowed in.

Hazel's last name had changed one final time, taking that of Anatoly's. It took months for her to stop saying "Hazel Ivanikov" and blushing bright red. They had three children, each named after someone integral to Hazel's return to Earth. The oldest, Daniel, the middle child, Rephana, and the youngest, Miguel, all looking like carbon copies of both of their parents. Miguel Ramirez, the youngest Ivanov child's namesake, had passed away the year after Daniel's birth.

Nredoza was in her mid-forties, and after marrying the one other of her species on Earth, Unariann Limakof, had a single child named Siyan, after one of her brothers. Siyan Limakof was about the same age as Daniel Ivanikov.

Everything was calm, and many were enjoying a pleasant Halloween night, but that calmness did not last long. It had been twenty years since Rephana predicted Dymo's return to Earth. Hazel was tending the Halloween bonfire, which burned a deep black in celebration of the night. Out of nowhere, a loud sound of something hurling towards the ground built in the background, coming closer and closer with every second. Hazel looked up to see a ship, on fire, about to crash into the ground near one of the ends of the street. She got everyone out of the area, shouting to grab their firearms.

Rephana's own superweapon, which was stored underneath her memorial, came out of its hiding spot, aiming itself at the ship that had just crash-landed. Nredoza's alarms were going off at full blast, and Hazel was inching closer to the flaming ship.

A familiar figure crawled out, his brownish orange skin charred and destroyed by the flames. Hazel had no clue how he survived. As he opened his wings and propped himself up on his muscular arms, she knew exactly who it was. Dymo Terinaz, with his wife Esyatani coming close behind him. Hazel pointed the barrel of the gun at Dymo's third eye threateningly, the plasma from the chamber sloshing around.

"Why are you here?" she asked, poking his forehead angrily.

"You can't tell, Ununquadius? Oh, let me tell you," Dymo said, his voice barely working anymore, "you manage to escape one of my highest security rooms on my science station, leave with my best biologist, and when I come to try and talk to you peacefully-ish, that blasted empress destroyed the people I brought with me, and leave me for dead, half-sedated and given electric shocks whenever I want to just get something to eat or change my position, with some strange new powers and abilities that because of the sedative I will never be able to use! Now tell me, Ununquadius, why do you think I'm here?"

Hazel took a deep shaking breath and put her finger on the trigger.

"I don't want to do this. You have potential to be a better person, but I don't think I can bring myself to that after all of the pain you've brought to me, Oza, and Rephana. That, to me, is unforgivable."

With two hesitant blasts of the plasma shotgun, the last remnants of Aphos' reign of terror had been wiped clean out of the multiverse. Vasion was truly gone at last.

As if on cue, one bright green leaf danced with the snow, landing at Hazel's feet. She bent down to pick it up, expecting something to happen like it did two decades earlier. However, like something had clicked to signify that the source of the omen was no more, the leaf turned brown and disintegrated at her touch, its dust flying off into the depths of the night, towards the stars from where they first came.
