"It happened again! Hazel is part alien!" TJ said, sprinting into his mother's bedroom.

"No, she's not. Her father isn't an alien, he's human, kind of. You heard him, didn't you?"

"Yeah, but that's the same thing to me. Are we going to go investigate today?"

"Of course, sweetheart."

After getting dressed and ready to tackle the cold and snow, Akina and TJ ran to the car to take a trip down to Mexico. They both had passports, so the border wasn't a problem for them. The trunk was practically filled with non-perishable food and drink, obviously prepared.

Hazel's mother had a friend from Mexico who was convinced of other universes, different from the typical theory of alternate versions of the same. It sounded like Hazel's description. Remembering him, he also had a scar just like Hazel's and like Daniel's when he was on Earth. She had a feeling that perhaps he was from another universe as well. That would make him the perfect person to talk to and try to get information out of.
