POV: Y/n

Me: Princess Elizabeth, I want you and Daine to take Meliodas to the doctor here in Dalmary Town. I'm going to travel the 8 miles on foot to get to the dungeon. If I am not back by noon, Diane, come find me, Elizabeth, I want you to stay with Meliodas until he is well.

Elizabeth & Diane: Very well.

Diane: If you see that Knight who did this to Captain, leave him for me.

Me: I make no promises.

I then threw on my armor, grabbed my short sword and checked to see if my shield still came out of my gauntlet.

Me: Sweet, I got the kinks work out of this thing. Now I can talk to Jericho and see if I can get Ban out of the Dungeon.

I started traveling the 8 miles northeast to Baste Dungeon to get information from Ban, I had no idea the area around was full of insects. When I reached the prison, I saw Jericho standing outside, as if she were waiting for me.

Jericho: Holy Knight Y/n. It is good to see you.

Me: Jericho, you don't need the formalities, this is just two friends greeting each other after a few years.

After I said that we embraced in a hug.

Jericho: It has been some time. Are you sure you need to talk to the prisoner... immediately?

Me: I came all this way, what's a few more moments.

Jericho: Follow me. I know just where we can talk.

Jericho then dragged me all the way to her room. At least I think it was her room. When I walked in, I noticed her room had a few training dummies, and her training sword from when we were kids.

Me: Gee Jericho, let's not go too fast now, we only just met.

Jericho: What. Uh... oh god, no, that's not my intention!

Me: I'm only messing with you Jericho, but don't get me wrong, you're a nice girl. I see you still have your old training sword, mine's still at the castle, I couldn't bear myself to get rid of it.

Saying that had made Jericho's face glow red, but when I looked at her training sword, I noticed an insect that looked very out of place, especially since when I looked closer at it, it moved away. From what I could tell it was a wasp of some sort.

Me: Do you often have flies in your room?

Jericho: I get them every once in a while, I thought you didn't care about the small things.

I then grabbed and killed the wasp.

Me: I only mind if they are not from the area. But I wanted to talk a bit more about joining this revolution of mine. Are you still loyal to the King?

Jericho: Yes. I have to know am I strong enough for you? Do you like me?

Just then I heard a bell ring, it wasn't very loud, not like a clock tower, but it was a somewhat soft bell.

Me: Yeah, did you hear a bell?

As soon as I answered Jericho, in a fit of rage waited on me, catching me off guard and knocking me out. The next thing I know I'm coming too in a prison cell, next to a white man with red leather pants, long white hair and a white beard. I couldn't see my sword, armor or shield in the room, but I could find the shirt of my uniform on the ground, it looked like something was underneath it.

???: Hey knight, ya up?

Me: Yeah, who are you and where am I?

???: Ban, Baste Dungeon.

Me: But I was a guest. I was just talking to a friend.

Ban: Well the sucks for ya. I'm getting out of here, you can stay.

Me: HELP ME DAMMIT!

Ban: Shut the fuck up, they may figure out what's going on.

Ban then pulled the chains off of him, having far more than I did, making me jump up to my feet. Ban then busted down the door, made up of pure iron, slightly warping it. He then started cracking his bones and stretched.

Ban: Aaaaa. It's nice to take walks every once in a while.

Guard 1: Why... why you... How did you escape!?

Ban: How...? Yo, can't you tell by looking? I kicked the door down.

Guard 2: But... but why do this now?

Ban: Why? Because you guys were... talking about something really interesting.

Guard 1: Wh... what?

Ban: He was alive...? Our cap'n?

Guard 2: Not... not good!! Notify the Weird Fangs immediately!!

???: What's the commotion?

Guard 1: Oh!! Lord Jericho!!!

Guard 2: It's an emergency!! Ban broke out!

Me: JERICHO HELP ME PLEASE!

Jericho: I was coming this way to talk to the other prisoner, but it seems he isn't in a talking mood. The Deadly Sin Ban... I don't know how you got out of your cell, but hurry up and get back in.

Ban: Heeey, Brat, shouldn't you watch your attitude when you're talking to a hero?

Jericho: You dare address an Apprentice Holy Knight as "brat" huh...? For a half-dead criminal, you've sure got a lively mouth. Send this message to Lord Golgius! A prisoner broke out of his cell and resisted, so Jericho had no choice but to kill him...

Guards: Yes sir!!

Jericho then dashed past Ban, cutting him with her sword and ending up in the cell near me. I saw anger in her eyes when she saw me awake.

Me: So... uh... di... did I do something wrong? You seemed to try to kill me back there.

Jericho: Do you not remember what you told me?

Me: Noooooo. If I said I liked you, I wasn't lying.

Jericho: You said I wasn't strong enough for you!

Me: I did? I don't remember that, you asked two questions and I said yeah.

Jericho: Don't lie to me dumbass!

As Jericho said that she swung at me and time slowed down. I maneuvered my torso down and left hand towards her sword, having her cut the chain. I then proceeded to redirect her sword into the other chain binding my right hand to the wall.

Me: Jericho, please let me help you.

Ban: AAAAWW Man! Did I cut it too short...? Well, it feels refreshing, so I guess it's alright... you have a lot of talent... as a hairdresser.

Jericho: Im... impossible!! You dodged my blade despite having wounds all over your body!?

Me: Jericho, I don't think he dodged it.

Jericho: There you go again! Claiming I'm not strong enough to harm him!

Me: Look at him! I know for a fact he had holes in him moments ago.

Ban: What wounds.

Jericho: No way... you just had steel stakes sticking through your limbs!!

Me: I guess shackles were too weak.

Ban: Remember this well, brat... this... *points to his neck* is what you call a wound. Got it? The wound he gave me... is a special case... though.

Me: Jericho, where is my gear? I want to help you fight him.

Jericho: And why would I trust you?

Me: Because I've known you longer than I've known myself, I want to help you.

Jericho: I can do this myself!

Me: Fine. Hey Ban, I wanna know how you got that scar.

Ban: Yeah! Ok, so the story takes place about 12 years ago.

TIMESKIP - 12 years ago - POV: none

The Seven Deadly Sins were enjoying a meal after a successful mission.

Ban: Hey Cap'n, C'mon!

Meliodas: What do you want, Ban?

Ban: I told you already, come oooon! Let me see the sword!

Meliodas: What's so exciting about seeing this junk?

Ban: Cap'n... don't play dumb with me... why is the captain of the Sins aaaaalways holding onto that piece of junk everywhere he goes...? And when it never leaves your side, not even when drinking, peeping into women's baths, or wearing armor... how could anyone not get curious.

Meliodas: It's like my stuffed animal, I guess.

Ban: Does it have incredible magical powers, or is it... a priceless antique?

Meliodas: It's neither. If you keep worrying about it, you'll go bald, Ban.

Ban: It'll just be for an iiiitybity bit... 'kay? Let me see it.

Ban had quickly maneuvered himself right behind Meliodas, placing his hand on the sword that he badly wanted to see. Over the course of a small argument, waking other Sins, Meliodas, who stated it would anger him, cut Ban, leaving a decent cut, that after healing, left a scar.

TIMESKIP -present- POV: Y/n

Ban: And that's how I got my scar.

Me: Cool, I now know not to mess with Meliodas.

Jericho: Wait you still see him!?

Me: That doesn't matter. I'm not leaving here without a fight am I.

Ban: NOPE!

Jericho: Y/n! Why would you betray the kingdom!? You claimed to be loyal.

Me: MY LOYALTIES ARE TO THE KING AND PRINCESS ELIZABETH, I WILL NEVER TURN ON THEM! You should be ashamed, you were one of the best Holy Knights I knew, because you never gave up. I thought you of all people would remember what Lord Meliodas told us as children.

Jericho: He always told us; "All people... eventually die. But... as long as someone protects what that person stood for, their principles will never die. Once you've resolved to take on those principles, no matter how much blood and tears you shed, you follow through with it!!

Me & Jericho: That's what a knight is.

Ban: Awww, look at the young lovers.

Jericho: SHUT UP DUMBASS!

Jericho then charged at Ban, trying to attack him. She ended up getting defeated and had her armor taken from her. I was trying to avert my eyes to be polite, but in doing so I let Ban get away.

Me: Jericho, I'm trying not to look, but, take my clothes I can find my armor later.

Jericho: Ummm... thanks? Just leave, the armory is down the hall and it's the last left, get your belongings before I change my mind.

Me: Thank you Jericho, I'd give you a hug, but that may go wrong.

Jericho: Leave dumbass, other guards should be coming soon.

Me: I'll see you later, I want you to keep training, if we do have to fight, I want it to be a challenge. Because, right now, I'd say we are as strong as each other.

I then ran down the hall, finding the armory and in turn my gear. I threw on my armor and gauntlet, testing my shield, seeing it work, and I sheathed my shortsword on my back. I decided to run through the dungeon trying to find Ban, and see if I can convince him to join Meliodas. I saw a guy in spiked armor and decided to listen to him.

???: Where do you think you're going Ban of the Seven Deadly Sins? You are to die right here and now.

Ban: Yo, Holy Knight Jude.... You're going to kill me? Why do it now?

Jude: We have no more use for you... you were the bait for the Sins' Captain, and you've already fulfilled your role. My knights should be finished up with your two fellow Sins right now. And once I've killed you. There will be five less criminals in this world.

Ban: Heh heh heh... I hope your dream comes true.

Me: And who exactly will be the fifth? I know I'm seen as I criminal to most Holy Knights by now, so I'd be the fourth, but tell me, who is the fifth?

Jude: Elizabeth, for her crimes against the kingdom.

Me: Time for your death then!

I then slashed at him, knowing his armor would tank the hit. I then was able to focus on that one point and chip his armor. Suddenly, Jude disappeared through what looked like a shadow to go behind me, I only know this because I saw time slow down as I was able to turn and block his spike that was being sent upon me. I slapped it away with my shield, breaking the spike. I then countered by piercing his armor, seeing blood ooze out of his breastplate.

Ban: Allow me kid. You get out, I'll find you later.

Me: I work at a bar, the Boar Hat.

I then ran out of the prison, in the distance I could see Diane fighting something so I ran closer. When I was close enough to see Elizabeth, I saw a swarm of insects appear and Elizabeth walked in the center. I could slightly make out what she said.

Me: Elizabeth!

Elizabeth: I... made a promise. Even if you were to die... even if I'm the only one left... I will protect the people of this kingdom from the Holy Knights.

Just then the swarm of bugs seemed to stop. Just then a little kid walked up to Elizabeth.

Elizabeth: Are you hurt anywhere?

Kid: Hum... it's admirable that you would even put your body in harm's way to protect a child... but reality is harsh.

Just then the kid transformed into a large man, not quite the size of a giant, maybe 6' 6" tall. I got closer in the event I needed to fight them.

Hawk: The little kid turned into a Holy Knight!!? So... his appearance until now was an illusion!?

Elizabeth: So then... the reason those two are acting strange... is because of you?

Knight: Fwah Fwah. before me, the Seven Deadly Sins are like children.

Elizabeth then tried to tackle the guy

Elizabeth: Turn them back to normal!!

Knight: Fwah fwah.

The Knight picked Elizabeth up by her hair and kneed her in the gut. He then slammed the side of his staff into Elizabeth's face sending her into a roll, knocking her out. That caused me and Hawk to charge at him.

Hawk: YOU BASTARD!!

Me: Prepare to die for harming her!!

When I reached him, Hawk had been knocked out, I drew my sword and slashed at the knight, breaking his armor when suddenly time slowed, seeing a fleet of bugs fly in my direction. I ran towards the bugs and bounced off of them using my shield as a sort of bounce pad to direct myself toward the knight and slashed at his strange staff, cutting the tip off and seeing a bell fall to the ground.

Me: Who the hell are you!?

Knight: My name is Ruin, I am a member of the Weird Fangs, and you, Y/n shall die here.

Me: So you're the one who set Jericho against me!

I then had a feeling that told me to look at him and say something.

Me: TEMPORAL PRISON!

I looked at Ruin and he seemed to be both accelerating and frozen in time, he couldn't really move from the waist down, but his torso and arms flailed about asif he was panicking. I then deactivated my spell.

Ruin: h... h... how did you do that? It felt like I spend milenia watching you stand there, but I couldn't move.

Me: It's my magic, I'd tell you more but I want to kill you now.

I then slowed time and slashed at his armor, breaking it, revealing his muscular stomach underneath.

Me: Any last words before I cut your guts out?

Ruin: You won't be able to pierce my skin, because it is stronger than steel!

Ruin's stomach then turned from white to a brownish color. I decided to slow time back down and cut his skin. He wasn't lying, his skin was very dense, I did see a small cut, however it wasn't great, so I decided to cut that one spot multiple times.

Me: THOUSAND TEMPORAL SLASHES!!!

Ruin: You think just shouting a random statement will ble-

Runs stomach then fell open and his guts hit the floor.

Me: If you didn't try to kill Elizabeth, I might have let you live.

I then saw Meliodas and Diane fall to the ground, as if they had been fighting for a long time.

Meliodas & Diane: Where'd the Holy Knight go!?

Me: Dead. By my hand for trying to kill Elizabeth.

Meliodas: You act a dog more than me.

Me: Protecting her is my job. Also we should head to the Dungeon, Ban is out and roaming.

Meliodas: Let's go then. What happened to her?

Me: Elizabeth put herself in harm's way for you and Diane...

Meliodas: Elizabeth... your "resolution..." I've accepted it.

Me: See if this will help her. It's a green hyper recovery incantation orb. This hopefully will heal her.
