POV: Meliodas

Me: The rain is getting stronger. Let's get the merchandise back to the shop. Elizabeth, Hawk and Y/n should meet us there.

On our way back to the shop we ran into Hawk, who then started balling his eyes out.

Hawk: I'M SORRYYYYY!!! I'M SUCH AN INCOMPETENT FOOL!! ELIZABETH WAS!! AND Y/N WENT ALONG!! I have no right to live another day!! Turn me into a pig roast or skewered pork!!

King: Calm down Mister Pig. We don't know what happened to Lady Elizabeth yet. Where did they take her and Y/n?

Hawk: I think they said "Ceramic Tear Inn" or something.

King: Alright. For now let's get back to the bar and plan our...

Me: No.

As I said that both King and Hawk looked at me as the rain continued to come down on us.

Me: We're going now!!

POV: Y/n

Lady Elizabeth and Lady Veronica were in a separate room as I sat outside with Griamor.

Me: Griamore, why would you harm the townspeople? Why would you harm my people?

Griamor: I was tasked by Hendrickson to capture the princess at any cost

Me: That isn't an excuse to kill, or even attempt to kill a loyal subject of the King!

As I said that a man in a strange cloak appeared before us.

Griamor: Who are you and what business do you have here?

Cloaked man: I am here only to speak to the man in green armor.

Me: What do you want with me?

As I asked that the world around us seemed to stop moving with the exception of the cloaked man.

Cloaked man: Sorry Y/n, I didn't want him spoiling our fun for a while.

Me: *draws blade* What do you want stranger?

Cloaked man: I want to teach you Y/n. *removes hood* You may call me Chronos.

Me: Why should I take the help?

Chronos: Because one day soon, there will be a battle, in which you will be a decisive factor.

Me: Who will I be fighting?

Chronos: That I cannot say. But I will say that there are powers far beyond your control at play here.

Me: What are you going to teach me?

Chronos: Do you see anything moving around us?

Me: No, the world seems frozen in time.

Chronos: Exactly. This is Cryostasis. You have your techniques that only slow time to a crawl. This on the other hand, causes time, and everyone except those I want to stop completely until I choose to let them resume.

Me: This doesn't seem hard. Why are you telling me this?

Chronos: Do not take things at face value. You are stronger than you believe. And this technique, if done improperly, will erase you from existence. Currently I can only use this move 4 or 5 times before I am erased, where as you, you can handle one. Any more and you will die.

Me: How do you know this?

Chronos: That is not important at this time.

Me: Okay, how do I use it?

Chronos: There is a feeling associated with the technique. This feeling is difficult to describe, but you will know when it comes.

Me: How will that help?

Chronos: You will see. I will know when you use it.

As Chronos said that time resumed, with him nowhere to be found. It was just me and Griamor.

Me: Dammit where did he go!

Griamor was about to speak when a screams were heard coming from the room with Lady Veronica and Lady Elizabeth. Within a heartbeat Griamor and I kicked in the door. On the inside I saw Elizabeth sitting in a chair as Lady Veronica stood over her, obvious that she had been aggressive in her speech towards her younger sister.

Me & Griamor: What's wrong my Lady!?

Veronica: It's nothing! Stand down you two.

Me & Griamor: Yes Ma'am.

As me and Griamor left the room we sat outside in silence for a few moments. After that time Lady Veronica stepped out and instructed me inside while Griamor was to guard me and Lady Elizabeth until she came back from her walk. I guess she doesn't trust me to be alone with Lady Veronica.

POV: Meliodas

King and I had made it to the Ceramic Tear Inn after Elizabeth and Y/n. When we got there, a purple haired girl, not much older than Y/n, walk off outside the building.

King: Captain, it's definitely that room. But I can sense another holy knight's power, will you be fine without a Sacred Treasure? If we make a big commotion, there's a high chance that more reinforcements will come. Plus the town, Elizabeth and Y/n might get dragged into this too,

Me: Leave it to me. Just go with what we've planned. If anything goes wrong Y/n might be able to help if anything goes wrong. I'm counting on you King.

POV: Y/n

I had sat down next to Lady Elizabeth as Lady Veronica had left us with Griamor. A moment later I noticed that a teacup had started to fall off of the table it was on. Griamor reached for it, since he was right beside the table. I then noticed a ball of blonde in the doorway. I activated Time Step and watched as Meliodas dashed into the room, stopping right in front of Griamor, who noticed him and attempted to draw his sword only to be stopped by Meliodas. Meliodas then flips behind Griamor, who is a giant compared to him, elbows him in the back of the neck and proceeds to deliver a flurry of blows before jabbing him in the throat. He then grabbed Griamor's body and catches the teacup as it is centimeters from the ground.

Me: Nice catch.

Elizabeth: Lord Meliodas?

Me: Let's say we get out of here.

After running out of the town, we stopped by a clearing of rocks and conversed.

Meliodas: Alright, we should be fine if we're far away.

Me: Well, if they ask the right people they can find me.... I needed my shield to be fixed. I asked a family friend to help.

Elizabeth: Are you angry? I, I promised to wait for you, but I didn't sit still like I said I would....

Meliodas: Are you hurt?

Elizabeth: Huh? Um... no...

Meliodas: It was my bad. I shouldn't have left you scared by yourself. Y/n, I'm irritated at for giving away our local.

Me: We own a traveling bar. It isn't hard to find.

Elizabeth then shook her head.

Meliodas: You at least managed to gather information?

Elizabeth: Yeah, thanks to you. Our next destination is a town nearby.

As Elizabeth said that a collection of fireworks started, catching all of our attentions.

Elizabeth: Fireworks!

Meliodas: There's a huge festival in that town tomorrow.

Elizabeth: A festival?

Me: Oh yeah, the Vaizel Fighting Festival! I used to go to that all the time with Jericho. I wonder if I'll see her there, possibly also see if Howzer is there?

Meliodas: And Elizabeth, I'll need you to participate in the Naked Dance Competition that they hold there.

Elizabeth: NAKED!?

Me: They don't hold that my lady. Shall I smack him?

Meliodas: Kidding!

Elizabeth: Last night, when I was talking about my sisters... I said it was really fun back then right? But, right now, when I'm with all of you, scary or painful things happen to us, but... I'm happy.

Meliodas: Let's go back. Everyone's waiting.

Y/n: And it is getting very late, it's been a long day. We best get some rest, we'll have an even longer day in store for us tomorrow.

Meliodas then grabbed Lady Elizabeth's hand as they walked off, followed by me as we left for the Boar Hat.

Meliodas: Oh, by the way, Hawk is really depressed about all this, so why don't you cheer him up?

Elizabet: Huh? Did you say something?

Me: He said that Hawk was depressed over what happened.

Meliodas: That really doesn't matter.

So I know this is a shorter chapter, but I've been stressed for time this week with a presentation and the anniversary of my mom's death so I took time off from writing. I'll make this next chapter slightly longer, I might make most of the tourney a single chapter if I remember.
