Seven More Memories...

A/N: Might wanna listen to the song while reading this, it really ties perfectly with the story!

"Ah! What are you doing?!" you squealed as he buried his face in the crook of your neck. "Nothing... I just wanted to say I love you..." he replies, voice muffled, making you giggle. "Love you too~"

Seven.

That was the number of times he used to say 'I love you' in a day. He was never the type who expressed his feelings well, choosing to hide it whether it made him happy or sad. But that one day, when you were so upset that he hadn't said 'I love you' at all in your 9 month relationship, and when he finally said it, he realized just how much he loved saying it to you, and how much he actually meant it.

That was all in the past, and now, although he's in love, he's not in love with you.

"Ah, beibu! Where are we going?" "Just be quiet... We're here." he replies with a chuckle, removing the blindfold to reveal the beautifully set picnic meal, him standing in front off you with a bouquet of large flowers. "What's the occasion?" you laugh. "Nothing. Just wanted to show you how much I love you."

Six.

That was how many dates you two went on in 7 days. He would try his best to take you some place nice, some place quiet, some place where it would just be the two of you. He took you to the amusement park once, and then another time, he prepared the date himself, a romantic picnic. On most days, you'd visit him during work, where you'd have your dates there. During his breaks, he would sit with you and just talk to you. If his breaks were longer, he would bring you down to a small cafe or restaurant for lunch. You didn't complain though, you enjoyed watching him do his work, and being with him just made you feel warm and loved.

Now, he goes on dates beyond the office, with someone else.

~*****~

"Hey. Welcome home." you greet him with a wide smile, sharing a quick kiss. He only sighs and smiles slightly, making you chuckle. "Rough day?" You said, walking back into the kitchen to finish dinner as he follows you inside, wrapping his arms around your waist as he watches you prepare dinner. "Mhm..." "Haha, let em finish dinner and we can go cuddle and watch a movie, sound good?"

Five.

That was how often he would come over to your place in a week. He would always make time for you, coming over after work, despite how late it ended. You'd always be up waiting for him on the nights like those, even though he told you not to, and when he'd come struggling through the door sometimes all drunk and tired, smelling like booze, he'd still greet you with the brightest smile and the warmest hug.

But now, he was going home, just to someone else's home.

~*****~

Your phone rang again, for the fourth time today, the familiar name and picture showing up on screen as caller ID. But you weren't complaining, you loved it whenever he called you. You loved hearing his voice just as much as he loved hearing yours. "Hello?" "Ah~ You picked up, I thought you'd be busy..." "I always have time for you." you flirt innocently.

Four.

That was the number the times he'd call you in a day. "I just miss you." he would always say whenever you tell him that he's called for the third time. You'd roll your eyes and scoff, secretly loving that he was being all cheesy and greasy. And he knew it too, how much you liked it. You wondered why he had so much time during his work and schedules to give you a call every now and then, but you soon realized that he actually made time for you, just to hear your voice and your laugh. Even if he could only talk to you for 2 hours, or 2 minutes, every second hearing your voice was precious to him.

Now, he wouldn't even pick up your calls.

~*****~

"Beibu? How do you feel about kids?" you asked quietly as you leaned against his shoulder, letting him wrap an arm around your shoulders. "I definitely wouldn't mind having them with you. I've always wanted maybe two little boys and a mini you running around." he chuckled. "Really? Well I've always wanted little boys, maybe they'll be more adorable than you~" you stuck your tongue out at him, teasing him.

Three.

That was how many children you wanted to raise and love when you started a family together. He knew you loved children just as much as he did, so when you casually brought up the topic about your future together with him, you had quietly asked how he felt about children of his own, making him smile brightly, answering you instantly. "Maybe a tittle girl and her two older brothers, hm?" he asks, resting his chin on top of your head as he peers down, watching your face form into a wide smile. "I love it." you giggle. He chuckles and pulls you close to him, planting a kiss on your forehead, making you giggle again.

He probably still wants a little princess, and his two sons, but not with you anymore.\

~*****~

"Happy two year anniversary, babe." he smiles, handing you the long, rectangular box. You open it to find a locket, the number two engraved on one heart, yours and his name on the other. Once you open it, on both sides were pictures of both of you. One from your first date, and another from your one year anniversary. Even though you hated saying it, his two-year anniversary gift was the best so far. Especially since two was his favorite number.

Two.

That was his favorite number because you completed it. You were his other half, his partners, his companion. You made him whole. Everything he did, he had the number two in his mind- one for you and one for him. He bought two identical bracelets, one for you and one for him, to wear as a symbol of your love for each other. He didn't want matching clothes, or phone cases; he wanted accessories instead. So he had went ahead to purchase it for the both of you.

But now, you're not the one who completes his two.

...

One.

That was how many seconds it took for your tears to come pouring down. You had balled up your fists and gritted your teeth when you saw him with her. The way he looked at her, the way he smiled at her, was how he used to at you. You should have known he had changed, when he didn't call or visit that often anymore, or when his tone towards you changed. You should have known all this, when he started to mumble another girl's name and ignore you. You should have known... that the didn't love you anymore.

"Let's just break up..." you spat out, voice shaky as you glared at him through your tears. He was only staring back at you with an unreadable expression on his face. You could feel your heart sinking deeper and deeper, getting heavier as the seconds go by.

He doesn't even try to stop you as you turn to leave. He just watches you walk away, out of his life, like you've never been part of it.

But as you stormed down the empty streets, you crossed an intersection, tears blurring your eyes, and you couldn't focus on anything. You couldn't even spot the car coming from your left.

And just like it took one second for your heart to break and tears to fall, it only took one second before the pain ended into nothingness.

A/N:

Damn, that took some work. I was working on this for about a month now... O_o this was just a short little 'story'. And if you're wondering who the character is or anything, this is an optional bias story, meaning you can use whoever you want as your beloved in this story!

I normally don't do quick, one-chapter stories like this so sorry if this sucks. If you guys would like me to kind of end the story with another chapter, just comment or PM me! I kind of enjoyed doing this.

If you guys would like me to do more of these kinds of stories and such, don't be afraid to comment here or PM me. I think I might start a book to take requests for short stories and such. But yeah, just comment or PM me and I'll try to reply as soon as I can!

I hope this is enough for today, this kind of cut into my study and homework schedule but eh, I'll just pull an all-nighter!

Thanks for reading!

Ciao!
