Hello, if you found this journal, then congratulations! My name is Y/n L/n, and this is the story of how me and my partner Cinderace came to be and how our adventures together went. We had many fond memories together, heheh. Well I shouldn't ramble on too much, so I'll tell you how it all started.

It was a peaceful morning here at Autumn Valley. The sun cracked through the blinds in my room, warming up my arms, as I woke up yawning. My room was warm and the pidgeys outside were chirping. Getting out of bed, I decided to put on a t-shirt and some lounge pants; the typical lazy day attire. I walked by my parents' vase, but stopped to give them my daily blessing. Yeah, my parents have passed away not too long ago. My mother got sick from an unknown fungus and my dad must've caught it while he spent time with her. I was over a friend's house for a sleepover, and my parents didn't tell me about their condition. But even though they're gone physically, spiritually, they're always there. And I thank them everyday for teaching me what they could. Now I'm 19 years old, living on my own, and doing well for myself.

I went into the kitchen to make myself some breakfast. I wasn't thinking about anything big, just something to get me through the morning. So, I made myself a cheese egg omelette with bacon on the side, some strawberries, and finally some milk. A fine meal to start off the day. After I was finished eating, I set the dirty plate into the sink to wash later on. I looked outside my window and saw people walking with their Pokemon. There were some Eevees, Pikachus, and even a growthile. Using the morning breakfast I made as extra fuel to burn off, I decided to go for a walk. I left my house and headed down one of the trails I used to take as a kid. It cuts into the forest and into a small tunnel that connects to a bridge. I use the small opening to cross the bridge and end up near my friend's old house.

I take that exact same route from 7 years ago, and notice slight changes in the tunnel. The walls were cracked and grew a bit of miss. It was cool down here, but calming, you could even take a nap down here. And the best part? Nobody comes through here, except for me of course. However, I noticed an elderly woman who was walking with her cane, but the cane fell over, and when she tried to pick it up, she winced in pain as she held her back. I felt bad for her, and went over and picked up her cane for her. "Here you go ma'am, I hope you'll be okay," I said. She smiled and thanked me. "Thank you so much young man, what's your name?" She asked. "It's (Y/n)," I answered. She gestured me to follow her, which I did. Maybe she needed protection or help if her cane fell over again? We arrived at her house, and she stepped inside and told me to wait, which I did. A few minutes passed, and she came out with a pokeball with a ribbon on it. "This gift is for you, young man!" She said. My eyes widened at what she said. M-Me? My very own Pokemon?! I always wanted a Pokemon companion!

I thank her deeply as I got the ball. "Is it okay if I open it now?" I asked the lady. She nodded, and I wasted no time tapping the button and see red electricity seep out the ball, and a Pokemon seemingly materialized into existence. The Pokemon seemed human-like, and once it was no longer in the red electricity, it stood up. The sweet elderly woman gave me a Pokedex with the Pokemon's details. "Cinderace, the fire bunny Pokemon. It's height is currently 6 feet and 1 inch and the gender is a female, very rare for this interesting species. Cinderace also loves to play soccer and start fires," I read.
(I know that's not the actual thing, but it's something a bit different, heh.)
The Pokemon then looked at me, and I looked at her. Her design looked pretty badass, in all honesty. Damn, she was a tad bit taller than me, but I ain't complaining. "U-Uh hey there, I'm your new owner, (Y/n)," I said, holding my hand out. However, Cinderace proceeded to give me a kick that sent me flying back into a tree.

I could hear the elderly woman talking to the Pokemon and saw Cinderace's ears droop. I got myself out of the tree and stumbled back to them. "I'm so sorry young man! She's been tense lately, ever since mating season, the male Pokemon tried to take advantage of her, so she kind of has a grudge against men," she explained. "N-No it's alright, that's understandable. Sadly some guys can't control themselves, and that makes people distance themselves away from them further," I told her. I then look up at Cinderace, with her ears still dropped behind her head. "It's okay, I won't hurt you, I just want to be friends," I said. With a slight huff, she shook my hand. Heh, at least she knows I won't do anything inappropriate. "Thank you ma'am, I'll take care of her," I said. "Oh! You can call me Ms. Avery, and you can call me if you need anything to know about Cinderace," she told me, giving me her number.

I thank her as I walked off, Cinderace following behind. "Alright let's see...Tackle, Growl, Feint, and Pyro Ball. That's nice. I smiled and checked her level. She was level 47, so she was already strong on her own. Especially with that kick she gave me earlier. But while I was checking her stats, I was suddenly pinned to a tree by Cinderace. "W-Woah hey now, what's wrong?" I asked her. She only replied with a growl, which made me feel a little weaker than usual. "Damn you males...always focused on mating, you make me sick!" She somehow said to me. But her lips weren't moving, but she isn't psychic either! Yet I could hear her words in my mind. "L-Look Cinderace, I said I wouldn't hurt you or anything like that. I-I just train and get stronger, y-you like that right?" I asked her. "Training? I LOVE training!" She said, dropping me immediately with a smile on her face. "Oof!" I grunted as I landed on my ass. "A-Alright then, W-we'll train tomorrow, o-okay?" I asked her. She nodded and even picked me up bridal style, running off in the direction of my house. Wait, how does she know where I live? Something's going on....

....and I need to figure out what it is.

(Hey yoooooo! Exo here. Hope you enjoyed the first chapter so far! It took me all night to think and stay up to write. But it's done! Chapter 2 will come out soon though, I'm planning on posting a chapter weekly, as to give me time to enjoy myself, think of new ideas, and of course write them out.)
