It had been roughly three months since Ed and Winry got married. Many things had happened afterwards. Things like Al and Mei getting married and their house finishing before the honeymoon ended. Things were looking great for the former state alchemist, until a bit of a hectic morning. Winry was currently kneeling above the toilet throwing up while Ed held her hair back. Not something you would expect so suddenly.

"Are you okay Winry?" Ed asked.

"I'm fine for now but I don't know if I'll start feeling ill later" Winry answered.

"I'll go ring the doctors to see if they can help" Ed said, running off to the phone. After dialling the local hospital, both Ed and Winry made there way over for a check-up. Al decided to tag along because he was also worried for his sister-in-law. After waiting for roughly an hour, the doctor came back carrying a clipboard.

"Alright, I've done a check-up and I have some fairly good news" The doctor exclaimed.

"Good news? What do you mean doc?" Ed asked.

"You and Winry are going to become parents" The doctor happily answered.

The three childhood friends were shocked by this, with Ed being the most shocked as he almost fell off his chair. Both him and Winry were ecstatic because the two of them have wanted to become parents. Upon returning home, Ed picked up his wife and spun her around. (You probably shouldn't do that, but I am not an expert in pregnancy)

"I can't believe it, we're going to be parents" Ed cried.

"We sure are, you're going to be a great father Ed" Winry replied.

"And you will be an amazing mother" Ed added before kissing her.

Word of the pregnancy had gone around Resembool and many were happy for the two childhood lovers. However, a certain girl was not particularly happy about the announcement. Missy had heard the news and was furious that the female mechanic was not only married to the boy she had her eyes on but is also carrying his baby. She had a plan that will hopefully get the two apart.

"Alright girls, I have a plan, we should cause a drama between them that will certainly break them apart and then, Eddy will be mine" Missy exclaimed.

"What did you have in mind?" Cassie asked.

"We'll set up a scavenger hunt just like that vegetable salesman did to us and it will lead into a divorce letter" Missy explained, "And the hormones will not listen to him so they will end up breaking up and I can be with Eddy"

"Amazing plan, this'll surely work" Kaitlin agreed.

Turns out, that plan was not amazing and in fact extremely stupid. It was barely a scavenger and more like a walk to a park bench. Winry had found the letter that was explaining the divorce and honestly, she knew it wasn't Ed who wrote it because of 3 main reasons. Firstly, he doesn't refer to himself as Eddy. Secondly, he wouldn't divorce over her bad habits because he likes them as it makes up who she is. And lastly, some of the words written were misspelt which Ed wouldn't do because of his large vocabulary. Winry sighed and decided to go back home where Ed was just casually finishing up some of his Alchemy notes for his job at the local school.

"Something wrong Winry?" Ed asked.

"Yeah, those girls are at it again" Winry answered.

"How so?" He questioned.

"They tried to make up a divorce letter so that you and I would break apart but they failed poorly" She explained.

After explaining to him their preposterous plan, Ed couldn't help but laugh at how stupid they were being. So to make matters worse for them, the couple decided that if those girls see them, they'll have them know that there is nothing breaking them apart.

3 months later

It had already been three months now and Winry was starting to show her pregnancy. While it wasn't particularly large, it was fairly visible. However, this was just the beginning of the hectic train ride that Ed had to endure. More specifically, the hormones and cravings. Currently, he was trying to get Winry to calm down from her crying.

"Calm down honey" Ed exclaimed.

"But you don't love me anymore" Winry cried, "You think I'm ugly now"

"OF COURSE, I LOVE YOU, WHAT MAKES YOU SAY THAT???" Ed questioned.

"You didn't want to snuggle up with me" Winry said as she sniffed.

"Winry, I just needed to finish my work, I would've came and cuddled with you after 5 minutes" Ed explained, "And you're not ugly, you will always be beautiful in my eyes no matter what"

"You mean it?" Winry asked.

"Every word" He answered.

"You're the best" She said, pulling him into a hug.

"Alright Winry, now let me get back to my work and I will cuddle with you afterwards, I will also get you some food if you want" Ed exclaimed.

"Ok, I'll have a pickle, ham, peanut butter sandwich please" Winry happily requested.

"Will do" Ed replied while having the thought of that sandwich making him sick.

6 months later

Currently, Winry was in bed giving birth to her and Ed's first child. Granny Pinako was telling her granddaughter to push each time while Ed held her hand. Al, who was watching the entire time, had no idea who was in more pain. Winry because she was currently giving birth for the first time or Ed because his hand was getting crushed by his wife. Al looked towards Mei who was really mesmerised by what was happening.

"How are you so happy about this?" Al asked.

"I'm seeing a birth for the first time, and I also can't wait for when it's our turn" Mei replied causing the younger Elric brother to blush furiously.

After 15 minutes or so, Winry had finally given birth to her firstborn and Granny Pinako wrapped their baby in a blanket. It was a boy, and everyone was relieved as the tension began dropping. Pinako pulled Al and Mei out of the room to give the newly made parents some time. Winry was holding her son in her arms, his hair was a light blonde like herself, but his eyes were golden in colour like Ed's.

"I'm glad we were able to pull through with this" Winry said happily.

"Me too Winry, I'm happy we're making this next step" Ed agreed.

"What do you think we should name him?" Winry asked.

"I was thinking of Jackson" Ed answered.

"Jackson, I like that name" Winry replied, "You are now a new part of the family Jackson Elric"

Afterwards, Mei pulled Al back to their house with the latter blushing furiously as he was being dragged away. Ed had a hunch that it had something to do with his son, so he assumed that Mei really wanted kids. Either way, he was happy to be a father now.
