A Walk in the Park
It was near mid-day in the middle of spring. (Y/N), who was currently sitting in her favorite subject's class room, History, sighs and gazes out the window. How she would rather be outside enjoying the spring breeze that was starting to blow in. She could spot the blue bonnets growing outside near the road across from her high school. Through the second floor window, she smirks at the hustle and bustle of other students.
The other students, however, were not high school. They were college kids, and this only amused her more as a few were fumbling around with papers while their backpacks seemed unused on their backs. (Y/N) was currently attending an early college high school, and this was one of her dual credit classes. Her head was on her hand, and her gaze finally turns towards the professor. He was still rambling about Abraham Lincoln not being 'the great abolitionist' everyone claims he was.
The clock read 2:25 p.m.
This makes the girl smile as she brushes her long brown hair out of her face. Her bright blue eyes twinkle, and she quietly begins to pack her stuff. As the professor's gaze rolls over her, she stops. He mildly glares, gazes at his watch, then releases an irritated sigh. He gives a faint nod before continuing.
As (Y/N) finishes her packing, she carefully slips on her backpack. She needed to leave quickly in order to make it to her ride on time. He showed up at 2:35, and the rush at 2:30 made it nearly impossible everyday for her to get to the pick up area before he would leave.
Not that it mattered. (Y/N) hated this man with a burning passion and would rather walk home, and he felt the same towards her. It was only 10 miles away from school. Not to mention plenty of coffee shops to stop at on the way there.
However, her mother and father both insisted that she let him drive her home, as they both worked and it was part of the carpool deal they had. She would be late to work if she walked home, and that was a big ole nope. Her job would never fire her, however, as the managers have said she was their best barista as of yet, but pushing it too much...
She didn't want to ruin her reputation.
2:29 p.m.
One more minute, then she would be out of that door.
2:29 p.m.
Come on! Why was it taking so long for one minute to pass!?
2:29 p.m.
This is ridiculous. It has been at least two minutes.
2:30 p.m.
Without a moments hesitation, and just as the professor turns off the projector, (Y/N) is out the door, her hair flying behind her. Carefully, she rushes down the first flight of stairs, then turns and jumps down the last half of the last set. With practiced ease, she slips between the barely opened sliding glass doors and launches herself over a large rolling object being towed by a staff member of the college.
"Sorry!" She yells before continuing. She slips between people in the crowd, and a few people simply move out of the way with ease. After all, it had been this way at this exact time for almost a year now. Most of these people recognize (Y/N). She was one of the strongest and youngest athletes at the college, after all.
With ease, she makes it to the parking lot, spotting the younger boy she rides with across the way. He spots her and waves just as a large black SUV pulls up. In it's drivers seat is an older man, partially bald and grumpy. His gaze locks on (Y/N), and he sighs. This makes the girl smirk and she slowly walks over towards the two.
However, a sudden shadow overcasting her makes her turn just in time to see a large, green metal mass fly over them. It crashes in the opposite parking lot in front of (Y/N), and she turns again at the sound of planes in the air. Spotting a grey jet, she gasps as it begins to fire missiles. Snapping out of shock, she rushes towards the SUV and yells at the boy that was standing there, starring in shock.
A whistle sound echoes behind her, and (Y/N) swiftly body slams the boy away from the vehicle as it suddenly explodes, sending debris and fire everywhere. (Y/N) protectively covers the boy, and when it seems safe, she lifts herself and the boy up.
"Dillon! Are you okay? Are you hurt?!" She checks him over, and as the boy finally groans, he slightly glares. "Besides from being tackled and slammed onto concrete, I'm fine!" He turns his gaze back to the sky as more rockets are launched towards whatever it was that landed across the way. However, his eyes fall on the destroyed vehicle, and his eyes widen.
"Grandpa!" He yells, and it takes all of (Y/N) strength to hold him back. "No! It's too dangerous! He's gone! We have to-"
A gruff voice echoes as said man appears on the opposite side of the vehicle. "I'm not dead yet, (Y/N)!" He rushes around, despite being heavy set, and grabs the boy's arm. "We have to get out of here, now!" He begins to run away from the scene, and (Y/N) follows until she realizes Dillon's back pack was not on him.
Turning around, she spots it on the ground and quickly rushes over to grab it. As she stands, a shocking sight appears before her. The jet, having flown closer, suddenly exploded into moving mechanical parts. It flipped up higher into the air as it changed before crashing down to reveal a tall, slender, high heeled grey robot with piercing red eyes. It seemed to be glaring at the impact zone of the green metal earlier.
"Ah, Bulkhead. You should have run whilst you had the chance." It's, well his, voice was slightly higher pitched and grating on (Y/N)'s ears. She slightly gasps as it spoke, and when it's eyes widen, she ducked behind the trashcan just as it's head gazes over towards her. Spotting nothing, it turns back towards the other parking lot and begins to walk.
Curiosity getting the best of her, she swiftly sneaks around the trashcan towards a bush and slides under. Slight crinkling echoes around, and she freezes on the spot. The footsteps of the large robot halt, and she could feel it's gaze burning through the bush. However, it seems to not notice her once more and continues away.
Suddenly, another voice joins the chorus. "Can't run with a 'Con like you snooping around energon sources that could harm humans, Screamy." This makes (Y/N) perk up. She quitely and carefully slides through the bush and finds herself staring out the other end towards a rather large green robot.
However, this one sported bright cyan eyes. His hands were large wreaking balls, and, despite the large amounts of dents, scrapes, and leaking blue stuff, he stood tall, glaring at 'Screamy'.
A dark chuckle emits from the silver bot, and his gazes slightly drops down without his head moving. "Well.... Now you may have no choice." Suddenly, he bends down, and before (Y/N) could react, his large metal hand rips the bush up from the ground and uncovers her entire body.
She gazes up in shock and tries to stand. As she hastily rushes away, she screams in shock as her feet meet air and her body feels crushed. Opening her eyes, she finds herself in the grasp of the grey robot, staring straight into the eyes of the green one. His metal face was filled with horror and he growls. "Fight me, and this girl will die."
"That's low, Starscream." The green one mumbles. However, while they were speaking, (Y/N) was busy digging in her pocket. Although it was against school code, she always carried around a knife.
And luckily, today, she was carrying her favorite. A large, antler handled blade that had a sheath that fit perfectly in her pocket.
As she feels it, she slightly groans when the grip around her tightens. She heard the green bot take a step forward, and that's when the squeezing stops. Luckily for her, she already had the blade out. Unfortunately, this caused it to slightly cut into her side, and she hisses in pain.
"Ah ah! One more step, and the fleshing goes... squish." Starscream tightens his grip, and (Y/N) holds back a pained yell. The green bot, who (Y/N) finally recalled as being referred to as Bulkhead, growls.
Opening her eyes, she locks them with the other bot, and he seems surprised as barely a trace of fear is found in the girls. Twisting the blade so the flat side was against her body, (Y/N) swiftly slides her arm out and rests it in front of her on the top finger of the hand holding her.
However, this angers Starscream, and he squeezes her again. "You move, human, and I will end your little life here." (Y/N), heart beating rapidly, turns her gaze toward Bulkhead. She moves her hand slightly, flashing the blade towards the other bot. His eyes widen, and he gives the faintest of nods. Slightly turning her head, she huffs out, "I think.... Your hand... might need medical.... attention!" At the last word, she raises her hand and quickly stabs the back side of her kidnappers hand.
Retracting the blade quickly, she shouts as the weight around her vanishes and air blasts past her. Starscreams yell of pain doesn't distract her from the distance she was falling. She hadn't realized how high up she was, but before she hits the ground, a large black hand carefully catches her, and she gasps in surprise.
"Hold on!" The green bot yells as he slams a wreaking ball into the side of the grey robot's face, sending him flailing to the side. Turning away, Bulkhead rushes towards the nearby woods, crashing through each tree as if it was a stick. Using his free hand, he lifts it to the side of his head.
"Ratchet! Bridge! Now!"
Just as he finished speaking, a loud explosion rocks (Y/N)'s eardrums. Screaming in pain, she feels the hand around her push her against his chest as it feels like she is floating. Slamming against the palm of he metal hand tells her that the flight was over, but her head was spinning. Another explosion, and (Y/N) covers her ears. She could barely focus, her eyes were swirling and her ears felt like they were pounding.
Her savior, Bulkhead, slowly removes his hand from his chest and gazes down at the girl. "Can you hear me?!" He yells before firing some sort of cannon from his hand at his attackers. The girl nods, tears streaming down her face. "I have to set you down! A ground bridge will appear soon. Run through it and don't look back!"
Confused but obedient, (Y/N) nods and slips off his hand as he lowers it. Suddenly, a swirling green vortex appears in front of her, and (Y/N) takes a wild leap of faith by running straight into it. She hoped this was what 'Bulkhead' meant.
However, she does turn her head slightly just in time to see Bulkhead dodge a rocket....
And now it was heading straight for her.
Screaming, she wills her feet to move faster.
The whistle of the missile grows louder and she tries to push on harder, eyes shut and tears streaming down her soaked face.
Louder...
Louder...
Suddenly, something much more metallic echoes around, and before (Y/N) can try to find out what, she hears yet another explosion, and the shock wave from this one sends her flying through the other end of the portal.....
Crashing her smack dab in the middle of a large abandoned military silo...
With three other robots staring at her in shock.

A/N:
So! This is a story I have had many inspirations about, from Sheena on Quotev to many of my favorite authors on here.
HOWEVER
I will not steal any of their characters/plot lines/sayings/etc.
cuz that's like....
a big no-no.
Only the lowest scum of the earth steals ideas and uses it for their own selfish desires.
Anyways, Follow, Star, Comment! Thanks for reading!
