"In Shadyside, the past is never really past." Khessa said as she opened a diary, turning the pages until a picture of two girls standing beside a sign saying Camp Nightwing appeared, her hand stilled before she spoke again."This was July 12th... summer of 1978, the first day of camp." As she looked at it, she felt her heart shatter in two before she placed it on the table infront of Claudia and Soren as she spoke in a somewhat sad tone "A week later, my sister was dead."

Time seemed too slow as Khessa told them about how her sister's girlfriend Amaya Slater slaughtered the campers at Camp Nightwing, a tragedy that shook Shadyside.
