CHAPTER ONE: RETURN

Smoke filled the dry air as fires raged around me. People were screaming, and some were crying. Villages were burning, bodies of both Minecraftians and mobs lined the ground, and the world shook with thunderclaps and creeper booms.

"Hurry!" A voice exclaimed. "Hurry towards the stronghold! You'll be safe in its walls!"

The man pushed people away, running in the opposite direction towards the danger everyone was fleeing from. He cut down a creeper in his path with his enchanted golden sword, his equally golden eyes watching his surroundings. His dark grey clothing was tattered and ruined with blood of mobs, and his chipped sunglasses sat atop his head.

"Guys! Make sure those mobs don't hurt those people!" He yelled as he sent a zombie to the ground with a powerful swing. "Jason and Ty! Shoot down those skeletons!"

"On it!" A man with a jetpack called out as he picked up a male with emo hair and green eyes and glowing headphones, and flew them towards the skeleton army.

"Ian and Quentin! You blow those creepers sky high!"

"So as high as you shorty?" A male with blue and orange hair snickered, causing the dark haired male with bright blue eyes to snort.

"Just shut up and do it you dingus! Jerome and Mitch! You guys send those Enderman back to the End where they came from!"

"Yes sir!" A male with caramel eyes and light brown spiky hair shouted as he backflipped over a creeper and cut it down before running off with a very tall bacca hybrid.

The man with the ponytail then turned to me, a small smile on his face. I could faintly make out the glow of his golden eyes as he stared into my purple ones with love.

"Seto, you're with me. Let's put those zombies back in their graves shall we?"

"Let's."

My eyes shot open as I quickly sat up in my bed. The sound of my heavy breathing filled the air as I tried to calm down. I wiped my sweat covered forehead and looked out the window beside my bed.

It was barely morning. The sun was slowly rising over the hills; casting oranges and pinks and yellows across the sky and plains. I could see the farm from where I sat, the cows, pigs, chickens, and sheep grazing lazily in their small pen. Beyond it I could see the structure known as the "Scales of Ianite", created by one of my good friends who lived here on the island.

I let a sigh escape my lips as I pull my knees to my chest. If it wasn't for Jordan I probably would have been at the bottom of the ocean right now. He saved my when my boat got capsized in a horrible storm. He was sailing at the time and saw me floating.

When I woke up he was there by my side. He told me how long I had been out, how he found me, and where I was. He then asked why I left. And I told him. I told him all about it.

All about how Herobrine and a dark sorcerer threatened to kill my friends and family. How I banished them to the Nether before I quickly left. How I made everyone believe I was killed... All of it.

He let me stay here. After I was well he led me around the land the inhabitants called Mianite. He showed me everything, and I met some interesting people. Tom, Tucker, Sonja, Wag and the wizards, Declan, and Champwan. Declan and Champwan let me have a room in their fortress; and I got the room in the top of the tower. It had a nice view, enough room for making potions and practicing spells, and offered warm shelter.

I spent a lot of time at the wizard's tower with Wag and the others. I felt calm around other sorcerers and wizards, and enjoyed Wag's company very much. They taught me a lot about potions and I taught them how to use their core to make magic without wands.

A small yawns escapes my lips as I think back on the dream I had seen moments ago. This was the fifth time in the last two weeks that I've seen that dream It felt so real, everything felt like it was true. But it's not. I'm here, and the others are still on the mainland.

With one last look out the window I swing my feet over the edge of my hammock and pushed myself up onto the ground. I let out a satisfied groan as I stretch my arms high above my head; receiving a satisfied pop in my muscles and joints.

I scratch the back of my head and walk over to my chests and open one up, grabbing my long sleeve grey undershirt, short sleeved tunic, knee high boots, and cape before walking to the makeshift shower.

After a quick, and very cold, shower I get dressed and walk over to my mirror and fix my hair up; putting my white bandanna on to keep my wet hair out of my violet colored eyes. With one last look at myself, I head out of my room, down the spiral staircase, and out the entrance of the fortress.

"Morning Seto!" Declan exclaims calmly as I walk out into the fresh air of the early morning.

"Morning Declan." I greeted. "Up early again I see?"

"Yeah. But I should be saying that to you too Seto." Declan responds. "Did you have that dream again?"

"Yeah. Do you... Do you think it means something? Do you think I should go back or is it just a dream?"

Declan sighs and motions for me to sit down. I join him at the fire pit and sit across from him; watching the orange flames as it licked at the food being cooked over it.

"Seto... It's been six years since you arrived here. Maybe, and I'm not trying to be mean or anything, but maybe it is time for you to go back home..."

I let out a small sigh as I get lost in the flames. It's been so long since I've seen the group... Been so long since I could enjoy laughing with them. Been so long since... since I've been in his arms...

"I think... you're right Declan." I whisper, looking up at the ginger. "I think it is time..."

Declan nods and stands up.

"I will alert everyone on the comms. You go pack up."

I watch as Declan walks out the fortress walls, pulling out his comm as he does so. I sigh and get up, heading back inside and up to my room.

Looking around at the mess, I realize how much I'm going to miss this place. This place had been my home for six years; and I've made many great memories and new friends here. This is going to suck a bit...

"Tersus." I whisper, waving my hand around my room as purple magic flows out of my hand. I watch as everything begins to glow purple, quickly cleaning up my stuff and throwing it into my backpack.

Soon, only the hammock and the chests were left sitting in the room. I look around one last time before picking up my bag, almost dropping it as an object fell out of one of the pockets.

Setting my backpack down to the side, I kneel down and pick up the object.

It was a necklace; a red creeper face attached to a silver chain. He had gotten it for me after we began dating. Everyone teased me for it because I always had it on. It just meant so much to me... When I came here though, I hid it in one of my chests. I knew my heart would ache every time I saw it. Every time I would think of him...

Adam... How was he doing? Did he eventually move on? I hope he didn't honestly... I still love him. Being away for so long has hurt so bad...

I shake my head of these thoughts and slowly through the chain over my head, letting the creeper pendant rest on my chest. I stand up and once again grab my backpack. With one more look, I leave the room and head out to the beach.

When I arrived at the docks, everyone was already there waiting for me. I soft smile graced my lips as I walked over; quickly noticing the bags by Jordan and Tom's feet.

"Are you guys coming with?" I inquire as I approach. "Because those definitely aren't my bags."

Jordan chuckles at me and grins. "Yeah we're going with you. I need to see the mainland again. Tom just wanted to be a stowaway."

"Shut up you spoon!" Tom huffs, smacking the back if Jordan's head. "I wasn't going to stowaway!"

"He totally was." Tucker snickers, Sonja giggling beside him.

"You're all spoons." Tom groans, crossing his arms across his chest; causing everyone to laugh at his overreaction.

"Anyway..." I look around, giving everyone a sad smile. "Thank you all so much for letting me stay here with you all. Honestly, I'm going to miss it."

"You always have a place here Seto." Sonja says as she pulls me into a hug.

"Thanks Sonja." I mutter as I hug back. Tucker grins and joins the hug.

"You better keep in touch Set." He says, pulling away after a minute.

"I will I promise." I reassure him.

After many goodbyes and warm hugs, I soon found myself on the ship; watching as the island shrinks into the distance.

I close my eyes and sigh, listening to the sound of the waves and letting the cool ocean breeze hit my face. As I stood there my thoughts began to wander and the realization finally hits.

I'm going home...
