Skylar's P.O.V. 

 "Seems like everybody is extremely relieved you're okay. Especially Jesse, Jaden, and Alexis." the soft voice of Dark Magician Girl told me as I was sitting next to a tree with my headphones around my neck and my MP3 player in my hand. 

"I still can't believe it was Chazz that saved me. 

I mean, we don't have a friendly relationship, but I wonder exactly why did he save me." I explained to her. "

What matters most is that he saved you just in time, Milday." Dark Magician said as he appeared next to Dark Magician Girl.

 As soon as they disappeared, I put on my headphones and put on the song that I loved the most out of all my playlist. 

I took a deep breath before singing my heart out.

I smiled as I took of my headphones and rested my head against the tree. Suddenly, I heard clapping coming from the left side.

 I looked and saw Jesse there with a smile on his face with Ruby on his shoulder. 

"Jess? What's up? Did you see the whole thing" I asked. 

"As a matter of fact, I did. A little lady like you has a really pretty, actually, beautiful voice." he said in that southern accent I adored. 

"Thanks." I said as I felt myself blushing.

"She sounded so wonderful, boss." the spirit of Sapphire Pegasus said as he appeared with the rest of the Crystal Beast duel spirits. 

"That's one of the things we love about our  master." Magician's Valkyria said as she, Dark Magician, Dark Magician Girl, the Blue Eyes White Dragon, and my Queen's, King's, and Jack's appeared. 

"Valkyria's right. She has always had that talent forever." Queen's Knight told Sapphire Pegasus.

Jesse came over and wrapped his arms around me in a hug. I smiled before hugging him back. 

"I still can't believe someone like him would be able to save you." he said. 

"Please, Jess. Let it go. I'm okay now." I told him as the duel spirits disappeared. 

We then pulled away and when he did, he began walking away. 

Then, the child inside me took over, because as he was walking, I jumped on his back and let out a childish laugh. 

"Now, there's the fun-loving Skylar I know." he said as he carried me.

"Next time, I want to be your knight in shining armor." he said. 

"Why's that?" I asked. 

"Because your special to me and my best friend, and I will do anything to keep you safe." he explained. 

I smiled as I kissed his cheek. 

"You will always be my best friend." I told him.

  Jesse's P.O.V.

I smiled as she kissed my cheek. "You will always be my best friend." she told me. 

I wanted to tell her, but I couldn't.

 I've had feelings for her ever since I first transferred. I mean, when I'm with her, I have the urge to just hold her hand and hug her. I love the way she laughs and her smile always warms me up on the inside.

"Um, Jess? You okay there?" she asked me. 

I snapped out of y thoughts and nodded. 

"Yeah, sorry. Just thinking about something." I replied. 

"About what?" she asked. I really wanted to tell her I was thinking about her, but I just covered it up with something. 

"Nothing. Just my Crystal Beasts." I lied. I immediately regretted saying that.

 "Okay, Jess. Just asking." she said.

How was I going to tell her how I felt? I want to tell her, but I'm afraid it'll ruin the friendship between us.

Skylar's P.O.V.

Why was Jesse acting so strange? I couldn't really put my finger on it. 

Oh, well. Maybe he's just tired from school.

It was then I saw something shiny in the distance. 

"Jesse? Do you see that?" I asked as I got off. 

"What?" he asked. 

"I saw something shiny over there." I explained as I ran to the direction of the shine.

 When I got there, I saw what made me gasp. 

It was THE Millennium Necklace. 

What in the name of Obelisk was a Millenuim item doing here? I picked it up as Jesse caught up to me. 

"What's this, Sky?" he asked me. 

"The millennium necklace. It's pretty, to be honest." I told him.

 I tried to put it on, but I began having trouble.

"Here." Jesse said as he took the necklace and clasped it around my neck. 

"Thanks. How does it look?" I asked. 

"Well, Little Lady, a pretty necklace like that deserves to be worn by a pretty girl like you." he told me. 

I blushed as I tucked a piece of hair behind my ear. "Why don't we go back to Duel Academy?" he asked. 

"Sure. I'll race you." I told him with a slight smirk. 

"Why race on foot when we can race on these?" he said as he pulled out his Sapphire Pegasus and my Blue Eyes White Dragon. 

"How did you get that from me?" I asked. 

"You're too easy." he told me with a smile.

"You are so on. Let's go." I said as I got my Blue Eyes back. "

Sapphire Pegasus. Come on out, boy." he commanded.

 "Blue Eyes White Dragon, come on out, babygirl." I commanded as they both came out. 

"Loser has to work out for one whole hour." I explained. 

"Deal." Jesse agreed as we got on our monsters.

"May the best duelist win."
