Skylar's P.O.V.

Me, Jaden, and Jesse were watching the other Duel Academy students from above.

"So, you feel like you're prepared enough already?" Jaden asked me.

"Tomorrow is my last day, so yes. I'm prepared. Even if I have to risk my life for everybody, I'm ready." I told him.

"We will be there giving you motivation." Jesse said.

"I'm not only doing this for you guys, but I'm also doing it for my mother. I knew she would want me to do this." I explained. Jaden placed a hand on my shoulder.

"She would be proud."

We all went outside and looked out at the horizon, which the sun was starting to set.

"This is the ultimate battle between us and a spirit from 5 Millennium ago." Jesse said.

"No, Jess. This is my battle and my battle alone." I told him.

I took out one of my cards and I looked and saw it was Blue-Eyes Shining Dragon.

"If it weren't for this dragon shining the darkness from my heart, me and my monsters would've become evil. We would've became overwhelmed by darkness." I explained.

Just then, an idea came into my head.

    "Guys. You know what I'm thinking?" I asked as the realization hit me.

They shook their heads.

"Don't you get it? If the Blue-Eyes Shining Dragon was able to shine away the darkness from my heart, maybe it could shine the darkness in Carmen's heart." I explained.

"Wow, Sky. That does make sense." Jaden told me.

"Maybe instead of destroying Carmen, I could instead try to help her. After all, what I didn't mean to do to her did make her like this." I said.

Just then, I saw the spirit of Kisara appear before me, making Jaden and Jesse gasp.

"Skylar, who is this?" Jesse asked.

I sent her a smile before turning my attention back to my two best friends.

"Jesse, Jaden. This is Kisara, my guardian. She's the spirit of the Blue-Eyes White Dragon. She has been with my father as the dragon before I was born and was still here when I came into the world. She is the protector of my family, especially me." I explained.

"This is unbelievable! A monster spirit has a human form? That's what I like to call amazing!" Jaden exclaimed.

I smiled as Kisara chuckled.

"Jaden's right. I've never seen anything like this." Jesse said.

"I appreciate the compliments and I would like to thank you for being her friends and there for her. She's had a tough life since the loss of her mother, but she's still going strong. It's what Kaibas do." Kisara said.

*Flashback in Third Person*

Skylar had her hood from her cloak covering her as she was riding the Blue-Eyes White Dragon with Red-Eyes Black Dragon and Masked Dragon with her.

She then had a sickening feeling. She felt like something wasn't right.

So, she got out two more cards for extra backup. She pulled out two of her best dragons; Curse of Dragon and Metaphys Armed Dragon.

"Come on out!" she commanded.

The cards glowed and the two dragons came out.

She then spotted some fiends just below her.

"Blue-Eyes, take all of us higher. There's fiends there." she said.

Just as they flew, she heard a scream.

She knew that scream all to familiar.

"Syrus!" she said as the dragons flew faster.

When they got to the ground, Skylar got off and saw that Syrus was being chased by a worm-like monster.

"Syrus, hold on!" she yelled loudly enough for him to turn.

"Hurry up, Skylar!" he shouted as he continued to be chased.

"Dragons! Go and attack! Blue-Eyes, help me out!" she commanded as Masked Dragon, Red-Eyes Black Dragon, Metaphys Armed Dragon, and Curse of Dragon flew after the creature, roaring.

She got on Blue-Eyes and the dragon let out it's mighty roar as it flew above Syrus and the creature.

Skylar saw her dragons blasting their fire power at the creature, weakening it enough for Skylar to snatch Syrus from the ground and onto the Blue-Eyes.

"Skylar!" he said.

"Don't worry, Sy. I gotcha." she comforted him.

The dragons flew with Skylar as they turned their heads every once in a while to blast at the creature.

"Blue-Eyes, attack with White Lightning!" she commanded.

The dragon turned and was about to blast.

Unfortunately, the creature hit the dragons and they all tumbled to the ground, Skylar and Syrus falling off of Blue-Eyes in the process.

Syrus and Skylar ended up under a tree and the creature was about to demolish them until it was blasted.

Skylar was confused, since none of her dragons had a blast that red.

Sure, her Red-Eyes had a blast that was red, but it was pinkish also.

She looked and saw Cyber Dragon there and a hooded figure with a duel disk.

'Only one person has Cyber Dragon. Could it really be?' the young girl thought to herself.

"I summon Cyber End Dragon!" the deep voice said as the three-headed machine dragon came out.

"Attack!" The dragon attacked and soon, the monster was destroyed.

She then showed concern for her dragons as they weakly got up.

"I'll let you all rest for now. Return." she said as each dragon went back into their card and she was alone with Syrus.

Just then, Ojama Yellow came in with them.

Syrus then fainted, but Skylar caught him in time.

"Who's there?" she called out as she heard footsteps.

She then saw the hooded figure who saved her and Syrus.

"Are you who I think you are?" she asked.

He pulled down his hood and she had tears in her eyes as she saw it was him.

The one she considered a big brother.

"Zane." she sobbed as he came over and she set down Syrus.

She ran to him and wrapped her arms around him, hugging him tightly.

"I thought you didn't want anything to do with me." she said as she thought back to the silent treatment they gave each other when he hurt Syrus during the light's reign.

"I was wrong. I couldn't severe my ties with you. I tried to, I just couldn't." he said as he hugged her back.

She nodded into his chest as she pulled away and tried to get Syrus but she ended up blacking out as well.

Zane noticed a card from Skylar fall and he picked it up, seeing it was her Gazelle The King of Mythical Beasts card.

Apparently, this was the only Beast she had in her deck, unless she found it somewhere.

"Gazelle, come out!" he commanded.

Gazelle growled at Zane, but as soon as he saw Skylar on the ground, he calmed down and then he placed Syrus on it and he picked up Skylar in his arms and carried her as Gazelle carried Syrus.

*End of Flashback*

Skylar's P.O.V.

"I won't stop. All of you have saved me. Now, it's my turn to save you all." I told them as I clenched my fists.
