Third Person P.O.V.

Seto and Yugi stood with mouths open and eyes wide as Xavier finished explaining the problem with Skylar. 

"And if we don't do something, we'll just end up losing her." the steel-eyed boy said. Kaiba just clenched his fists.
"I lost my wife a long time ago and I will not lose my daughter. She is all I have left. If I lose her, I don't know what I'll do. She reminds me so much of Amanda. When Amanda died, I was thinking of giving Skylar up for adoption, but then I realized that she was all I had left from her and that Amanda would have wanted me to continue raising our beautiful baby girl. So, I did. Now, I will help out with that evil spirit possessing my daughter."

Seto was on the verge of tears as Yugi patted his back as well as Xavier. 

 He still remembered that night. 

The night the love of his life died. 

The night that awful illness took her away from him and their daughter.

A five-year old Skylar Kaiba and her father, Seto Kaiba were with Amanda, who was currently in the hospital bed, pale skin with chapped lips, but still smiling with that sparkle in her eyes. 

She had only 5 minutes left to live. The doctors tried everything they could to cure her illness, but nothing happened.

Skylar reached out and held her hand, Seto putting it on top of Skylar's. 

"I'm sorry that Mommy won't see you grow up." Amanda said with tears in her eyes. 

Skylar felt tears pouring as well. "Why do you have to leave, Mommy?" the little girl asked her mom. "

Baby, Mommy is going to the stars. I'm gonna be watching over you day and night." Amanda replied. 

Seto sadly smiled at his wife.

"Skylar, when you become a big girl, remember everything Mommy taught you. Promise that you will never forget about me." Amanda said. 

"I promise, Mommy." Skylar told her. "

My poor little girl. I wish I could've given you a brother or a sister." her mother said as she squeezed her daughter's hand. 

"I would've liked to have a second child with you, honey." Kaiba said. 

"Don't worry. I will be with the angels and watch over you two and I know one day, we will be reunited again." his wife told him, crying.

"I'm so glad I met you, Amanda." he cried. 

"I'm so glad I met you too. You were the only one who ever loved me more than anyone else. I'm so glad Xavier and I ran into you that day." she replied. 

"I love you, Amanda. To the moon and back. For all of eternity." the second best duelist said with sad eyes. 

"I love you too, Seto." she replied. 

"I love you, Mommy!" Skylar sobbed as she hugged her mother. 

Amanda smiled and hugged her back. 

Soon, after they said those words, a long beeping sound was heard as well as a flat line was seen on the screen.

Skylar and Seto hugged each other and finally let everything out as Amanda lay there dead on the bed. 

Skylar lost her role model. The one who always gave her advice and gave up everything, even dueling for her daughter. 

Seto lost the girl who melted his cold heart. The girl he loved dearly and was always there for from Battle City to now.

Everybody heard the news and cried and cried. 

When Amanda's funeral was held, Skylar couldn't stop the tears from falling as her father held her hand. 

Tea, Mai, and Serenity lost the girl they saw as their best friend and sister. 

Joey, Tristan, Xavier, Mokuba, and Yugi lost their big sister, Seto lost his wife, and Skylar lost her mother. 

But they would never forget her.

Skylar bent down to the tombstone and placed the white rose on the ground.

*End of Flashback*

"Well, let's go all go and find her. We'll split up. Jaden, Alexis, and Hassleberry, you three go together. Aster, Blair, Xavier, you three go together. Chazz, Jesse, you guys go with Yugi and Kaiba." Crowler said. 

Everybody nodded and went to their assigned groups before splitting up.

Meanwhile.....

"So, what am I supposed to do to gain control of my body again?" I asked Blue-Eyes mentally. 

"Well, you're gonna have to duel her soon, but now, It seems like it can be Jesse or Chazz that can get rid of Carmen from your body. 

"Wait, what? Jesse and Chazz?" I asked her. 

"Yes. Your uncle, Xavier told them all about what's going on. Even to the group." she told me.

"That's not the only thing."

"What else do you know about what's going on, Blue-Eyes?" I asked her. "

Your father and godfather are here." she replied. I gasped at her words.

"Dad! Yugi!" I called out. "

They can't hear you, Master Skylar." she replied. 

"Dammit! Carmen, you witch, let me go, now!" I yelled as I clenched my fists.

"Hahahahahaha! You are the one who made me like this, so how about no?" she said with a laugh as she appeared. 

"My friends and family will save me and once I gain back control of my body, I will duel you. If I win, you forget everything I did to you and move on." I told her. "

You got yourself a deal." she told me.

Jesse's P.O.V.

I was walking with Chazz, Kaiba, and Yugi, trying to find Skylar. 

We were now at the beach of Duel Academy. We tried the hallway, the dorms, and nothing. I gotta admit, I hated that I was gonna have to work together with Chazz Princeton. 

But, if this is the only way to save Skylar, I have to deal with it.

I then saw something green and I immediately recognized it as Skylar, or now, the spirit possessing her. 

"Guys! Look, it's her!" I said as they saw her and we started running until we got to her. 

"Hey!" I said. 'Skylar' laughed before turning to us. 

"Well, well, my father and godfather are here." she said, well, sneered. 

"We know you're not Skylar! You're the spirit named Carmen that Xavier told us is possessing my daughter!" Kaiba said. 

"Oh, my. Seems he has spoiled the surprise." she mocked.

"Carmen, what's going on?" a brainwashed Syrus said as he came over. 

"Well, Sy. Seems like these punks know about us and what we're doing." Carmen/Skylar replied.

"Skylar. I know you're in there. It's me. Try and break free. Think about your mother. You were saddened by her death. She wouldn't want you to be controlled. She loved you, Sky. I love you. Come on. Try and gain control." Kaiba said. 

Skylar had told me so many stories about her mother. She told me about how much she admired her and how much she learned dueling from her, her father included.

As soon as that happened, Carmen started groaning in pain as she clutched her head. 

A feeling came up inside me as I believed it was Skylar trying to break free. 

Carmen began running away, Syrus following her. 

Instantly, Chazz clapped his hands.

"I got it. Her weakness is her mom. Kaiba, we have found her weakness, thanks to you."
