Scarian Fluff: 3rd Life-Hermitcraft

Scar's Perspective-

"I'm sorry Scar!" Grian cried as he swung his fist.

Scar smiled and he looked into Grian's eyes, which you could barely see under his tears.

"It's okay, you've helped me survive this long, the least I can do is let you win." Scar whispered and he felt a sharp pain in his chest as Grian's punch hit him.

Grian sobbed and apologized as Scar fell.

-

"So...what do you think?"

Scar snapped back and looked up at Tango, who had just finished showing him a red stone note block contraption.

"Huh? Oh! It's good." Scar smiled and Tango frowned.

"Did you even listen?"

"I heard the song! But uh- not much of the whole explaining red stone."

"Well, I mean it's still something." Tango shrugged and turned back to the machine, lighting up the torches again.

"Did you write the song?" Scar asked, stuffing his hands in his pockets.

"No, I got it from Grian. He said it was a song he couldn't get out of his head so it thought I would make it to annoy him but this song seems to not fit the annoying vibe."

Scar hummed and nodded.

As he strolled back through Hermitcraft, his mind kept wandering back to the song.

He felt a nagging feeling in his heart, but he didn't know why.

"Hey Scar!"

Scar looked up and saw Mumbo waving him over. Grian was standing next to him, and he looked up.

They were standing on the sandy beach that was near the flower forest where Bdubs' home laid.

Flowers poked out from the grassy green fields near the sand where the ocean roared.

Scar and Grian made eye contact and Grian smiled a bit.

He slowly stepped onto the sand, feeling it sink a bit beneath him. He heard buzzing and looked up, seeing a bee land on a purple lilac planted in the colorful field.

He felt tears form in his eyes and he gasped as someone put a hand on his shoulder.

He jumped and stepped back, seeing Grian. He stumbled and fell, but Grian quickly caught him.

"Woah! You okay?"

Scar looked back at Grian and stood up.

"I- "

Grian looked concerned and Scar felt his heart race.

"You alright? You look like you've just seen a ghost." Mumbo chuckled a bit as he wandered over.

"Ah- yeah. Just clumsy, you know me." Scar waved off, laughing, "Anyway- what are you two up to? Standing here, on a beach...of sand...near a flower forest...how weird!" He winced as his voice cracked at the end.

Mumbo tried to laugh, "Er- yeah it's...always been like this."

Scar forced himself to laugh and Grian raised an eyebrow.

"Are you feeling alright, Scar?"

"Y-yeah, I just- ...got an annoying song stuck in my head..." He rubbed the back of his neck and tore his eyes away.

Grian's eyebrows shot up and he glanced at Scar, who didn't look back.

"It almost feels like...you're lost." Grian said softly.

Scar turned his head to face Grian.

"Yeah...kinda like I'm...lost wandering in a desert." Scar whispered and Grian smiled.

Mumbo sniffed and Grian looked up at him.

"Gee, thanks potato man great way to ruin the moment." Scar teased.

"Wha- HEY! I was here first! If anything, you're ruining a potato man's great afternoon." He huffed, folding his arms.

Grian laughed and Scar chuckled. Mumbo rolled his eyes and smiled.

"You two are lucky I'm such a generous boss."

Grian and Scar left, walking side by side. Scar glanced down at Grian and smiled, lightly elbowing him.

Grian giggled and kicked his ankle.

"You're just as annoying as that song." Scar joked and Grian laughed.

Scar smiled at Grian, who smiled back. They continued to walk through the peaceful flower forest, the bees fluttering peacefully from poppies to lilacs.
