Okay so again, never really finished watching Secret Life but I've seen animatics and fanart so I know kinda what I'm doing. also make sure to go check out Kiara, the one who requested this one-shot. She's amazing at writing, one of the biggest motivators and inspirations for me when I first started out, and I can't look at a circus or hear the word without getting war flashbacks to the story that meant so much to me in 8th grade (cough cough Welcome To The Circus).

Martyn's Perspective-

I've made enemies,

I've been left behind,

I've ruined almost every alliance I may have had with anyone ever.

Ren?

Hasn't come back since Big B broke his heart.

Scott?

Hasn't forgiven me since I ruined our friendship.

Grian?

Doesn't care for anyone but himself.

Impulse?

Thought I stole the win from Team TIES.

Mumbo?

...didn't even look back at me after he and Grian left.

The only person who ever showed any form of forgiveness was Jimmy.

I may have killed them, I may have broken our trust, but they're worse than me.

Ren?

Tried to form an alliance with me after Big B left him before throwing me and Pearl away to go strengthen his relationship with the guy who once broke his heart.

Scott?

He acts like he doesn't know me and if he ever looks sad he just says it's because of Jimmy.

Grian?

He's a controller. If he ever has to work with someone who he thinks is going to bring his downfall, he makes their lives miserable. He doesn't care about them, as long as in the end he wins.

Impulse?

Always stays with his friends and doesn't bother meeting new people or helping them out.

and Mumbo?

He acts as if he's innocent and never  hurt anyone ever.

Hurting people is one thing,

but not admitting that you caused their pain is another.

Martyn ran fast, gripping his sword as he tried to make it back.

He heard people shouting, Bdubs was on his horse trying to help save others while some stayed back to fight.

The Wither poisoned people and destroyed homes while the Warden took them out, giving them blindness and surrounding them in darkness.

"Jimmy- Jimmy!!" Martyn shouted, running around.

Darkness quickly surrounded him and he heard his heartbeat pounding in his ears. He started to run when he felt someone grab him by the chest and pull him up.

He blinked quickly and his vision came back. He saw Bdubs pull him up on the horse as the Warden got smaller in the distance.

"Martyn!!!"

Martyn's eyes widened and he tugged on Bdubs' shoulder.

"Bdubs, stop!!"

"What? No way in hell am I stopping!!!" Bdubs shouted.

Marytn huffed and jumped off.

Bdubs shouted after him but Martyn ran back to the scene, seeing trees collapse onto the hills.

Jimmy was hiding behind the Secret Keeper, staying quiet from the Warden, who was trying to find his scent.

Martyn was about to create a distraction when he heard someone yelp.

It immediately caught his attention and he saw Mumbo, who was stuck under a tree that fell on top of him.

Martyn's eyes widened and he froze, not knowing what to do.

He desperately glanced around, trying to find Grian, anyone who knew Mumbo and would try and save him.

"Martyn- run!"

Martyn gasped and he felt someone push him. He turned around and saw Lizzie, who got hit by one of the Wither's skulls. Her body fell limp onto the ground and the Wither hissed.

Martyn's eyes widened and he stumbled back, quickly running.

"Martyn- please- "

He heard Mumbo's struggling voice and sighed, tears in his eyes.

He saw his old partner, who was trying to get out from under the tree.

The Warden was nearby when it quickly caught sight of something else and started running.

Martyn sighed and helped Mumbo, lifting up the tree.

Mumbo looked relieved and smiled, taking Martyn's hand.

Martyn frowned at him with a cold glare.

"Martyn, look I'm sorry- "

A buzz went off on their communicators and Martyn glanced down at his watch, feeling his heart stop as he read,

"Jimmy Solidarity died"

Mumbo gasped and he looked up at Martyn who took off his watch and stomped on it.

"Mart- "

"You leave me the frick alone, it's your fault this happened. It's always your fault." Martyn spat, stabbing his finger into Mumbo's chest.

"Martyn, please I didn't know this would happen- "

Mumbo's eyes widened and he quickly pulled Martyn aside, but it was too late.

A loud explosion hit them and Martyn got tossed in the air before hitting the ground, hard.

His vision grew blurry and he saw the yellow heart on his wrist break completely.

He groaned and he saw Mumbo nearby, whose red heart snapped.

"No- wait- " He said hoarsely, trying to get up but failing.

"Please- " He cried, "You're the only other person who ever cared about me..."

So I know this isn't how they died at all, but I never watched that episode and all I know is the three died in the order of Lizzie, Jimmy, and Mumbo and uh- there was something with a Warden and Wither from Etho? But I actually had a lot of fun experimenting with this.

And again, go follow Kiara she's the actual bestest and was a huge inspiration for me when I started out (and even now). I loved so many of her works, and even after not reading any of them since 2022 and early 2023, I remember so many references XD

I remember after I read her Ethdubs fanfic I was so obsessed with it and the style and the way it was told (it was honestly so amazing) that I decided to write a story about them. She's helped me push myself and go out of my comfort zone with trying new ships as well as come up with fun out of the box ideas like Where Home is. She gave me support when I didn't have much and helped push my profile off to a comfortable 20 follower start.
