He awoke on the ringing of his clock. Getting up he took the clock and saw the time it was eight already. He saw outside his open window, to see that it was still dark. He placed his watch again on the table.

Not knowing what to do, he again went to bed. When he woke up again, it was because of Mrs. Astill calling. He looked outside the window, the sky was lighter now. When he checked his watch it showed ten-thirty.

Mrs. Astill came to his room, she was still in her nightdress.

"Good morning Seth, I hope you had a good night slep," she asked to Seth who had just risen from the bed and jumped down, Seth nodded.

"Good, freshen yourself up and pack, we will be leaving soon after that," she said before going out of the room.

After his mom went, he too went to the bathroom to take a shower and freshen up. It took him less than thirty minutes to be ready to go. He came out of his room to see that his dad was packing in the hall and his mother was still in the bathroom. He greeted his dad good morning and then went to sit on the sofa.

He took out his phone to check out if he has got any new messages, there was only one a thumbs up and a smiley emoji from his uncle. He too replied with thumps up.
He took out his ear pod and started listening to his favorite Bollywood songs, as such he didn't like any particular singer but, he loved the songs of Atif Aslam. He was listening to his songs now.

It took them another hour to finally get ready to go, when they were ready Seth paused the song and pocketed his ear pods, took his backpack. Mr.astill locked the door and they went down to the waiting room, the man from the night before –Mr. Lacroix was still behind the desk.

"You both go and wait outside, I will go and give the keys as well as settle the bill," Mr. Astill said to the others.

They nodded and started to go outside, they had taken the bags from Mr. Astill. Seth had the brown one and Mrs. Astill had the red one.

When they reached outside the gate, they saw that there was a seat beside them, they sat on it and waited for Mr. astitll, who came shortly.

"Let's go and have some breakfast, after that we can decide how we are going to Èze," Mr. Astill said pointing to the diner on the opposite side.

He took a bag and they all crossed the road.

They entered the diner and took their seat at the back, a waiter in a white shirt with a black coat came to take their order.

"Three veg sandwiches with, two cups of tea and a cup of coffee" ordered Mr. Astill.

"Okay," the waiter said jotting down their order, "Would you like anything else, till your order arrives sir," the waiter asked.

"Would you happen to have sodas?" Mr. Astill asked.

"We do have various varieties, which flavor would you like sir," the waiter asked again holding up his book to take the order.

"Okay then bring two lemon sodas" Mrs. Astill ordered, turning to Seth she asked, "What would you like, Seth?"

"Would you by any mean have, any strong soda," Seth asked the waiter.

"You can try our special soda if you want, it's one of the strongest sodas you can get in the country," the waiter said to Seth.

"Okay then, I will have your special soda," Seth said finally.

Relived to be free the waiter nodded and went to the food window to place the order.

"So, how do you think we should go to Èze?" Mr. Astill asked waiting for their food.

"We can take a cab if you want dad. It will take three hours to make it there" Seth said pouring himself some water from the can.

"Three hours would be late, we can hire a car and drive it to Èze" Mr. Astill suggested.

"Yes, driving through the countryside would be fun, Flynn" Mrs. Astill agreed.

"Yeah it's a good plan but, there is one problem actually two," Seth said placing the glass down on the table.

"What problems are there, Seth," Mr.astill asked confused.

Before Seth could say, what were the problems the waiter came with three glasses of soda. The waiter placed them on the table and left.

Two of the glasses had white drinks –the lemonade, the third glass contained a variety of colors, picking it up Seth took a sip. The drink was strong, though not strong enough for him he took a big gulp before placing the glass again on the table.

"Dad, you asked what problems are there, right," he said and his dad nodded "The first problem is from where to hire a car, the other being how will we navigate to Èze even if we have a car"

"We can hire a car easily by asking the people around if there is any car hiring agency here, the only problem will be as you said is how will we navigate to Èze"

"We can ask the people the direction, it's easy enough if we hit a highway. also, if that doesn't work we can always take the help of google maps" Mrs. Astill said happily.

"It won't be that easy, it doesn't work like that" Mr. Astill said.

"I know dad, but I think we should try what mom said. This will have to do unless you have some better ideas" Seth completed saying just before their food arrived.

They were silent for some time, eating their sandwiches. When they were done and Mr. Astill had paid the bill.

"Is there anywhere here that we can rent a car?" Mr.astill asked the manager of the hotel who was fiddling in the drawer for changes.

He looked up at him before answering "There is no rental car store nearby but, you can find one near the airport" the manager said handing out the changes.

"Thanks," Mr.astill said taking the changes, "Isn't there any other store around, we just came from the airport" he pleaded to the manager.

"It would be a waste of time for you if you have just come from there but, I am sorry, there is only the airport rental shop that I know of"

"Do you have the number of the shop so, that we can contact them"

"Let me see if I can find it," the manager said taking out his mobile, "You are lucky, I do have the store number, here you go," the manager said giving his phone to Mr. Astill who copied the number on his phone and returned the phone to the manager.

"Thanks, you have been a huge help," Mr. Astill said to the manager and came out to where the others were waiting for him.

"What took you so long, Flynn"

"Cora, I was talking with the manager about any place nearby to hire a car"

"So what did he say, dad"

"He said that he only knows about a car hiring shop near the airport"

"We can't go to the airport again, Flynn we just came from there"

"Yes dad, mom is right, that will be a waste of time"

"I know, that's why I took the number of the shop, let me call them and ask if they can deliver the car here" saying this Mr. Astill moved away from them to make the call.

He came back after some time "All is settled, they said they will send someone with the car, it will take them an hour" he said pocketing the phone.

"What do you propose we should do till then, Flynn"

"We can wait by the bench if you want," he said indicating to the bench where they have been waiting for Mr. Astill, which was on the opposite side of the lane.

They all agreed and so they all crossed the road and went to the bench. Mr. Astill placed the bags on the bench on one side and sat beside them, Mrs. Astill took her seat beside him. She slided off to make some space for Seth.

"No need mom, I am going around for a walk, if I don't return on time give me a call" Mrs. Astill nodded before saying "Don't go far"

"I won't, mom," Seth said as he turned to walk around the corner.
