"Darn it...." He cursed, thinking of what should he do now.

He thought of two options, either he could wait for Anna or Xenia to come home or he could go and explore the church. It didn't take him much time to choose.

He turned and started toward the church, he was sprinting as he went, for he knew that the church was a little far and that he mustn't be late for the home too. He knew that he was doing the wrong thing but, he couldn't control himself.

The mystery of the church was the only thing that he could think about, he quickly took the turn and started running. There was another thought going in his mind, it would be dark soon. What if he lost his way to the church or if any wild animal came for him at the mountains, there were all kinds of possibility running through his mind.

"Seth..." shouted a voice from behind stopping him abruptly.

"Anna what are you doing here," Seth asked surprised to see her standing before him.

"I was at the garden," Anna said indicating the gate behind her. Seth looked at the gate, he was pretty sure that there was no garden on the way the last time. Maybe, he must've taken the wrong turn he thought.

"Why are you here, I thought you were at the library"

"Yes, I was. It was tiring, I thought a walk would help so I came here walking" Seth lied.

"It looked like you were more like running rather than walking," Anna said cocking up her eyebrows.

"Was I. it must be because I felt tired after sitting at the library the whole day"

"Okay, let's get back to the house," Anna said.

"Sure," Seth said sighing with relief.

They started walking, Seth had to walk a little slow as anna was not used to his pace. They moved from one side of the path and Seth looked around. He could clearly see now that this was not the same road he had taken the other time, there were no shops. Just boutiques and cafes.

"So, did you find anything interesting from your today's research," Anna asked as they walked.

"Nothing new, I didn't get any leads," Seth said a little downcast.

"So, going there was a waste of time then, wasn't it"

"No, actually I did found a clue but, instead of shining some light it added up to the mystery"

"What did you find...."

"I found about a team of people who came to the church for renovating it, though they went away very quickly"

"Now that you mention it, I remember those people. They said that it was tiring work, but I don't believe them" Anna said distastefully.

"Why," Seth asked inquisitively.

"I believe that it was all planned, Mr. Sieben never wanted to build a school for the children there"

"Why would he buy the church if he didn't want to build a church"

"I don't know maybe, a tourist place. He couldn't have bought the place if he would've told the priest that he was buying it for other purpose, so he acted this up"

"You mean that he lied about making a school just so that he can buy the place and then make a tourist place," Seth asked doubtfully.

"Yes, otherwise why did he stop the renovation so early"

"I don't know maybe, it was a tiring job," Seth said weakly.

"Believe what you want but, it was all his plans" Anna huffed and took a turn.

"Anna I am not saying you are wrong, its just if he wants to turn the church into a tourist place, why hasn't that happened yet"

"I don't know.... Must be waiting for the right time"

"Okay, I believe you anna. Can you tell me one thing though" Seth said slowly, knowing that Anna was a little angry.

"Yes, what do you want to ask," anna asked gruffly.

"If he wanted to build anything else, why hadn't he done so, till yet" Seth asked hesitantly.

"I don't know, he must be thinking of something profitable to open here, maybe he wants to innovate something new"

"Okay," Seth said "Anna, did Mr. Sieben ever return after he bought the church"

"He was there when the church was being renovated after that stopped he was not seen again, I don't think he ever came back to the church," Anna said thinking and calming down a bit.

"If he hadn't come here, then I think you are right"

"Yes, am glad you finally understood. Look we even reached the home" Anna said and went to the door.

Taking out the key she unlocked the door and they all went inside.

"I will quickly make something up, you go and fresh up"

Seth nodded and ran up to his room, throwing his watch and phone on the bed he quickly freshen up. He changed into a loose t-shirt and shorts. He went down hurriedly to the kitchen. Xenia was already there.

"Halo" he greeted while taking his seat.

"Hey Seth, how was your day," Xenia asked leaning back on the chair.

"Great, did some research about the church, also met Vera"

"Nice, did you find what you were looking for"

"Nah, instead got loads of other questions," Seth said sighing.

"Don't worry, I am sure that we will get some answers tomorrow at the church"

"Yeah that would be good, so how was your day"

"It was great, I finally found a job. It is away from here though, nonetheless, it has good payment"

"I am happy for you, from when are you joining there," Seth asked seemingly better than before.

"The manager told me to join from next month" Xenia replied, just as Anna came with the dinner and served it.

"That's awesome, it would mean that you are free now till I am here," Seth said and xenia nodded.

"What is all this excitement about," Anna asked, taking her own seat.

"Nothing gran, I found a job that's all"

"that's news Zee, what is the job," Anna asked and Seth looked up from his food curious too.

"It's in the control department," Xenia said.

"Control department...... what type of control," Anna asked leaning forward on the table.

"I am in the control department, that's all I was told. I don't know anything else" Xenia said.

"It's okay, the good thing is you got the job and that's what matters the most," Anna said, pouring them all some orange juice, toasting it to xenia's new job they drank it.

"Cheers," Seth said and drank the juice. After that, they ate the food which was a vegetable stew with bread and a piece of cake for the dessert.

Seth and xenia finished before anna,

"You both go and hit the hay, I will do the dishes," Anna said still cheerful at Xenia's new job.

Seth and Xenia got up from the table and went upstairs to the bed, Seth fell asleep as soon as his head hit the pillow. Dreaming about haunted churches and ghosts.
