"His injuries are certainly far from serious." Said the female medical shinobi that was looking at Lee's wounds. "The cuts aren't that deep, they should be completely gone in a few days and the swelling in the cheek will be gone by tomorrow morning." She said.

"Thank you, we apologize for disturbing you." Neji said with a small bow of his head. Gai sensei had had to go and see the third Hokage so it had been left to Akane, Neji and Tenten to take the reluctant Lee to the hospital for a check up.

"That's quite alright but I would surgest maybe going a little easier on the training." She said just as Lee jumped off his bed and clenched his fist with a look of great determination on his face.

"We cannot do such a thing. If we wish to improve as shinobi we must train as hard as we can. No matter how many times we get hurt it does not matter, those wounds will heal through the power of youth." Akane couldn't help but smile but instantly stopped when she saw Neji flash her an unimpressed look.

"Ah, I see." Said the nurse not really sure what else she could say. "You're free to go whenever you're ready." She said before leaving the four alone in the hospital room.

"Great job Lee you scared her off." Tenten said with an amused tone.

"Working hard to reach your goals is nothing to fear Tenten."

"Maybe it is when it's coming from a guy in green spandex." Said replied making Akane laugh quietly. She did well at containing most of it but of course nothing seemed to escape the attention of Neji.

"This is a special training suit given to me by Guy sensei. I wear it with pride." Lee replied. It was then that a strange sound erupted from Akane's stomach. Her face became red with embarrassment as everyone looked over at her.

"I'm so sorry." She apologizes.

"It appears that you are hungry Akane. We should all get lunch together to celebrate the new and improved team Guy." He said with a smile.

"Yeah some food does sound good right now." Said Tenten already heading for the door. Akane looked over at Neji.

"Are you coming too?" She asked him.

"I don't believe that I have much choice but I will not deny that I am a little hungry myself." He told her.

"Okay so what's a good place to eat in the leaf village?" Akane asked Lee as they began to walk towards the door together, leaving Neji to walk behind them.

"That is right you still do not know your way around yet. Perhaps I shall give you a tour of the whole village after lunch." He said and Akane smiled.

"Really, you'd do that?"

"For my new comrade I would be delighted." He responded.

"Okay, that's be great. Thanks.' She said and Lee smiled before speeding up to catch up with Tenten. The two immediately started talking about the best place to go for Akane's first meal in the leaf village. It wasn't long before Neji began to walk beside Akane. At first the two walked side by side in silence but then Neji broke the silence.

"I have a question that I'd like you to answer if you don't mind." He said suddenly. Akane looked over at him with a slightly worried expression on her face. Neji continued to look forward.

"Alright."

"Before we met with you in the third Hokage's office he told us all about the ways of your clan. I have never heard of a clan that is so separated and joined together at the same time but I see similarities between your clan and mine."

"You do?"

"Yes. My clan is like a large tree, there is the main branch, they are our leaders and then there are the main branches that come off that. We are in charge of protecting the members of the main branch with our lives. We're a clan divided into two categories much like your own, however unlike my clan your clan's two categories have an equal amount of power."

"I see, yes that does seem similar. So then what is your question?"

"Guy sensei told us that you are the only one to be blessed with both families Kekkei Genkai's and that when you return to your clan you will unite the two families under your rule, sealing the clan together for good. I have seen you use the Suki family Kekkei Genkai but the other one is what catches my attention. You are a member of the Sato family who posses this Kekkei Genkai, you have the power to make anyone obey you and yet you choice to not use it. If you wanted too you could have easily ordered Lee to stop fighting and you would have won without going to the trouble of actually getting hurt, so why did you not use that Kekkei Genkai?" Sadness clouded her eyes as she looked down at the floor and crossed her arms defensively.

"You power of observation is remarkable." She said trying to dodge the question but when Neji didn't reply and simply watched her with his light purple eyes she let out a sigh. "If you wish to know then I'll tell you." She looked Neji directly in the eye as she spoke her next words. "I hate that Kekkei Genkai with every bone in my body and I refuse to use it." She said firmly. Neji's eyes widened.

"How can you hate your own clan Kekkei Genkai?" He asked her. Akane looked at the floor again not wanting to meet his gaze any longer.

"Because I've seen the true horrors of what it can do. I mean sure it's very powerful and all but think about it. To use it I'm stripping someone completely of their own free will, I make them my puppets. How is that right? No one would have their own free will stripped from them like that. It's cruel and disgusting." Neji glanced down at her clenched fists and the angry frown on her delicate face and knew that there was more to the story of why she hated her power than she was telling him. However he knew that it was a painfully memory and very personal so he didn't push the matter any further and let it slid. It she wanted to tell him she would, he couldn't deny the fact that he wanted to know but he knew it would be rude to press any further.

"I can understand where you're coming from." Was all he replied with then the two continued to follow their two comrades to whatever restaurant they had decided to take Akane too in silence.
