Akane's eyes fluttered open to be met with a white ceiling above her. Where was she? Very slowly she began to sit up, her body still hurt and her head was spinning.

"That's probably not a good idea." Said Neji as Akane saw him leaning against the wall opposite her bed with his arms crossed and eyes closed like usual.

"Yeah you really should push yourself Akane." Said Tenten as she sat next to Akane on a chair by her bed.

"Where am I?" She asked.

"The hospital. You passed out after you fight with Neji and he carried you here." Tenten explained.

"He did?"

"Yeah, you two really went at it." Akane felt her face heat up. Somehow that didn't sound right.

"W-where are the other two?" She asked changing the subject as quickly as she could.

"There still out there somewhere training."

"Then we should go and train too." Akane said slowly starting to get up. Tenten stood up and offered her help.

"Maybe you should just go home and rest for the remainder of the day." Tenten suggested. Neji got off the wall and walked closer to them.

"If she wants to train we should let her. I can't say I'm all for it but no matter what we do she'll do what she wishes either way. It's better to agree with her and keep her close so that if anything more does happen we are there to help her." Neji said simply.

"Neji are you sure that's a good idea?" Tenten asked him.

"It's the only real choice we have. Let's go." He said and then he walked out of the room without another word.

"I have no idea what happened between the two of you this morning but you've defiantly made a huge impact of Neji." Akane looked at Tenten with a frown on her face.

"What do you mean?"

"I've never seen him speak like that before. If it were me for instance he would tell me to lie down and not take into account what I wanted to do, but he seemed to do that with you. You said you wanted to train, he understood that, he didn't like it but he said he would stick around to help you if you needed it. I didn't even know Neji had a side like that. You know, a considerate side."

"I suppose...Neji's someone that's just full of surprises." Akane said with a blushed face. Tenten smiled at her knowingly.

"You totally head over heels for the guy aren't you?"

"What? No of course not."

"Why can't you just admit it?"

"Admit what?"

"Stop playing dumb Akane. You have a crush in the guy just admit it."

"Maybe I do maybe I don't. I couldn't tell you if I did. I...don't know what it feels like to have a crush, I'm sure I told you that yesterday."

"You did and I told you that you have a crush in Neji. I'm not making this up, you know."

"How can you be so sure?" She asked.

"Okay let's see, you blushed when I told you he had carried you here, yesterday you called him handsome and you blushed again when you said he was full of surprises. Take it from someone who has had her fair share of crushes Akane you have a crush in Neji Hyuga."

"If you're so sure then...maybe I do. Not that it really matters either way, Neji and I are comrades I guess that's all I'll ever be to him...but that's okay."

"Of course it's not." Tenten said making Akane frown at her.

"What do you mean?"

"If you have a crush in the guy then you want to be with him right? Like become his girlfriend, you can't tell me that you don't want that."

"I don't know if I do. I mean I still don't really know what it feels like to have a crush. Even if I did want that it would be selfish of me."

"What makes you say that?"

"Well when I turn 20 I'm leaving this village. I'll never seen him again, that doesn't seem fair to me."

"Akane you're talking about something that's 8 years away."

"So you're saying that me leaving doesn't matter?"

"Kind of yeah. Listen I can understand where you're coming from I really can, something like that would be painful for both you and Neji but it's ages away. Plus...I don't think you should miss out on the chance to be with someone you love because of pain that may or may not come." Akane smiled.

"Okay I won't...but this is Neji were talking about. It'll probably never happen."

"Well he's a tricky one to hook." Tenten said with a laugh. "But at the same time from what I've seen so far...I'd say you just might be able to do it. Of course you might need some help from someone who's known Neji a long time and actually has dating experience." She said with a smug face.

"You've dated before?"

"Hey no need to sound so shocked." Akane laughed at her friends pouty face and the two left the hospital room and headed out after Neji...
