"I've got great news. As of today you will no longer be a three man team but a four man team." Said Gai-sensei with a massive smile on his face as he proudly looked at his three students who sat down in front of him. Lee jumped up from his seat.

"Really that is terrific news Gai-sensei."

"Ha ha, Lee I know it is." Their sensei replied.

"So who are they then?" Neji asked coldly as he sat next to Tenten with his arms folded.

"Her name is Akane Sato-Yamada and from what I have heard she is an exceptional young woman."

"So they're a girl then." Said Neji.

"Well it would be nice to have another girl on the team I guess." Said Tenten with a small sigh.

"What are you saying Tenten? Are Neji and I not good comrades to you because we are male?" Lee asked her.

"No it's not that but it just gets kind of lonely being the only girl here sometimes."

"Well you shall feel that way no more my young pupil." Said Gai sensei flashing them a gleaming white smile.

"So why would this girl be joining our team now? Why not sooner?" Neji asked him.

"As always Neji you waste no time and cut straight to the point. Akane is a member of the Yamada clan."

"Yamada clan?" Neji repeated.

"I have never heard of such a clan Gai sensei." Lee said.

"That's because the Yamada clan do not belong to the leaf village. In fact they don't belong to any shinobi village at all."

"A clan of shinobi that doesn't belong to a village, is such a thing even possible?" Lee asked him.

"Yeah I mean that's never been heard of before right?" Tenten asked him.

"That is right. The Yamada clan is the only clan to not dedicate itself to one village. You may say that the clan is neutral. With the approval of the Hokage the clan have their young shinobi leave behind their friends and family to join the villages of the five great hidden villages and that's where they stay until they turn 20 and return to their clan as a fully fledged shinobi."

"They are forced to leave everything behind?" Lee questioned him.

"That's right Lee. It's harsh but it's the way of the Yamada clan."

"That's awful." Tenten said under her breath.

"If what you say is true then am I too assume that the members of the Yamada clan join their villages at a young age and attend that villages academy?" Neji asked him with a thoughtful face.

"Yes in fact we already have two members of the Yamada clan in the village. I had the pleasure of meeting the two once, their twins, brother and sister but very weird I have to say. Anyway I know what you going to ask, if that's the chase then why is she joining the leaf village now and skipping the academy?"

"I was indeed." Neji said with a nod.

"That's because Akane is special among her clan."

"Special how Gai sensei?" Lee asked.

"To answer that there is something about the Yamada clan you must understand. They are very different from any other clan you might have encountered. Not only do they not belong to a village but they possess two Kekkei Genkai's, both as equally as powerful as the other."

"What? They have two?" Tenten said as Neji's eyes widened in surprise and Lee let out a small gasp of surprise.

"Yes but it's members only have one of the two. You see the Yamada clan is split into two different families living side by side. There is the Sato family were Akane comes from and then there is the Suki family. The Sato family have the Kekkei Genkai of the voice which allows them to place chakra in their voice box and project what they are saying with such force and authority that however hears it is obliged to do whatever the clan member said."

"What terrifying power." Lee commented.

"Indeed it is Lee. The ability to strip someone of their free will and use them like a puppet is terrifying indeed. The Suki family have the Taimukipa it's a Dojutsu and it's a skill that allows the uses to slow down everything around them, allowing them to move at what would appear to us as an unreal speed."

"These people would make truly formidable opponents." Lee said.

"Even so with they are two families with two different Kekkei Genkai's can they truly be called members of the same clan?" Neji asked him.

"That's something that many have debated about for a long time and they did used to be two separate clans however they decided to join together for protection. You see neither clan had a village and their clans were only small at the time. It made sense for the two to join forces to create a larger more powerful clan. Now no one dares to go against them and plus the two have become intertwined in such a way it would be impossible to tear them apart and make two separate clans again."

"How so?" Neji asked becoming more and more interested in this clan by the second.

"Well the two families have mated with each other and produced offspring. That child would have both the Sato and Suki family blood running through their veins but even so one Kekkai Genkai will be more dominant than the other resulting them only having one. Depending on which Kekkai Genkai develops depends on which family you go and live with. Meaning that your parents may be living in the Sato household but you have to leave them and live in the Suki household."

"That seems a little extreme don't you think?" Tenten said.

"Perhaps it is but we are in no place to say such things. That is the way the Yamada clan do things and we cannot go against that."

"You still haven't told us what is so special about this girl that is joining our team." Neji said coldly.

"Ah yes well Akane is the only one in the history of the Yamada clan to have both Kekkei Genkai's manifest within her."

"No way." Tenten said.

"I thought you said that they can only have one." Lee said.

"I did but Akane is the exception. Neither Kekkei Genkai is more dominant than the other meaning that both have manifested in her. She is the result of generation after generation of the two clan breeding together. Either Way having someone like that caused disturbances in the Yamada clan. The Suki family wished to have her live with them as she was just as much a part of their family as she was the Sato family. However the head of the Sato family refused to give her up, claiming that both her parents were members of his family so she is a Sato through and through. Afraid that the Suki family might try and take her from him the head of the family locked her in a room under heavy surveillance. That was where she stayed, having tutor after tutor to tell her everything she needed to know to become a shinobi."

"But surely her parents wouldn't have allowed that." Tenten said.

"They weren't there to say no. Both Akane's parents are dead."

"And what about her situation changed for her to suddenly come to the leaf village?" Neji asked moving on quickly.

"The heads of the family got together and came to an agreement. The agreement was that Akane didn't belong to either family and that she should be sent to a village just like all the other young Yamad clan members. They sent out letters to all five Hokages explaining the situation and naturally all of them agreed to allow Akane to enter their village as a shinobi. It was Akane's decision that meant she ended up in the leaf village. When she turned 20 she will return to her clan and become the leader of the whole clan, bringing both families together under one ruler. Once I heard the situation I naturally volunteered to take her on as my student. Under my wing she is sure to become a great shinobi." Gai sensei said with a laugh. Neji frowned slightly, she had to rule the whole clan, that was a lot of pressure to put on someone's shoulders.

"Gai sensei let us meet our new team mate." Lee said enthusiastically.

"Yes of course Lee. I love the enthusiasm. She will be with the third Hokage as we speak, let us go my young students and meet the new addition to the best team in the leaf village."
