Chapter 6
Previously on Chapter 5
I climb off the tree and rush towards Mr. Fox. "This looks so bad... we have to treat your wound..." I said. He nods his head. I gently pick him up in my arms. Then we head towards his house.
-Father Christmas-
Y/N P.O.V
We are currently walking along the snow path. I just walk in silence. While the beavers keeps on saying how slow we're being. I can tell Lucy is getting tired from all the walking.
"Keep up! You're still young!!" Mr. Beaver said. Peter stops slowly and picks Lucy up on his back. "If he complains one more time... I'm going to turn him into a big, fluffy hat" he said. "He does het a little bit bossy" Lucy said.
"Hurry up!!!" He yelled again. "Oh that's it..." Peter said. "No! Behind you! It's her!!" He yelled. I turn my head to see a sleigh. My eyes widened. "Run!!" I yelled. Peter place Lucy on the ground and we run as fast as we can with the White Witch hot on our tail.
We run through the frozen wood. We jumps down the hill and hide under a small cave. We try our best to stay silent, straining our ear for any sign of the evil witch.
After a while of silence. "Are they gone?" Lucy said. "Only one way to find out..." Peter said. He was about to step out, but Mr. Beaver stops him. "No! I'll go... you're not good to the prophecy if you're dead" he said. "Neither are you" Mrs. Beaver said. "Thank you, honey... but they're more important than I am" he said. But he went out anyway.
We just stay there, still trying to keep our voices down. Suddenly, Mr. Beaver's head peak through. "Come out! Come out! I hope you all been good kids because someone is here to see you!" He said, I can hear the excitement in his voice. We all look at each other and walk out of the small cave.
"It's Father Christmas" Lucy said. He turns to look at me and smile. "Welcome back, Y/N..." he said. I just smile at him. "Okay... now... I have some delivery to do..." he said. He takes a big bag from his sleigh.
"Present!!" Lucy said, excitedly. He reaches inside the bag and pulls out a cordial. "This is made from a fire-flower. One drop can heal any illness and this is a small dagger... though I wish you don't have to use it..." he said. Lucy take it from him. Susan take a few steps towards him.
He takes out an archery set. "Put your trust in this arrows and it shall not miss" he said. Then he take out a horn. "In any danger... blow on this and help will come..." he said. "Thank you, sir..." she said. He turns to look at Peter. He takes out a sword and give it to him.
Peter take the blade out of its sheath. "Thank you so much, sir..." he said. He takes a step back. "Now... Y/N..." he said, turning to look at me. "Wait... I get a present too" I said. "Of course..." he said, smiling at me. I take a few steps closer towards him.
He takes out a box which look like jewelry. I furrow my eyebrow in confusion. He hands it to me. "Open it..." he said. I open it to see a charm bracelet. There is various kinds of charms.
"I don't get it... why is the charms a sword, a map, a monocular, foot, and oracina?" I said, looking at the man in front of me. "Each of these charms can grow into a full size tools..." he said. "How?" I asked. He smiles and helps me put it on.
"Now... take the charm you want to use..." he said. I look at it to see it's attached with a lobster clasp, that means I can take it off easily. I take off the sword. I look up at the man, waiting for the next instruction.
"Hold it in your hand... like this..." he said, showing me an example. I follow his lead. "Will it to grow in your mind" he said. I do as told.
I jump back in shock when the sword grows in size. "Wow..." I said, speechless. He smiles at me. "How do I make it shrink?" I asked. "Just place the end of it to the chain of your bracelet..." he said. I did as told and the sword instantly shrink and attached itself on the bracelet.
"Thank you sir..." I said, smiling at him. He smiles at me. "Now... it's been a long time since Christmas is here... I have a lot of works to do. Use it well... these are tools... not toys. They can cause damage... okay... bad time is almost over. Merry Christmas!" he said. "Bye!! Merry Christmas!" We yelled as he speeds away.
Peters turns to look at us, looking worried. "Guys... do you know what that means? No more ice" he said, looking at us with wide eyes. Christmas is almost over. The winter will soon end as well.
Time-skip
We watch as the ice melts. "We must to cross the river before it completely melts..." Peter said. "No. It's too dangerous. We have to find a way around" Susan said. "There's no time for that" Peter said. "I was just trying to be realistic..." she said. "No... you are trying to be smart. Like always" Peter said. Susan looks offended.
"Knock it off! Both of you. We need to cross the river and that's it. I'm the one that is in-charge to guide all of you to Aslan... and this is the fastest way. We have no time to spare and the White Witch is chasing us! There's no room for mistakes" I said, annoyance can be heard in my voice. They look at each other and agrees with me.
We are now standing in front of the river as it melts slowly. "I should go first..." Mr. Beaver said. He start to gently pat the ice, to make sure which one is safe to walk on. We slowly follow him.
Am I scared? Of course... I don't even know if I can die. I am nothing but a soul, after all. But there's more to it than just that. I'm a prisoner of the White Witch.
