Unicorns that are every color a horse can be, only with a tint of their horn shimmer's color

Tamed unicorns with kind masters who shave their horns to keep them from getting too long, honing them to a point for when they ride into battle together, selling the shavings because unicorn horn has incredible magical properties

Cruel masters who only have the creatures for the price their horns will fetch, filing them down until they are nothing more that nubs. The unicorns dream of escaping and their horns growing out again

Unicorn/horse hybrids, the DNA between the two creatures is close enough for them to reproduce. They have little horns, that grow much slower than a regular unicorn's, but will vary.

Unicorns being ridden into battle, carrying their loyal knights.

Unicorn seers, whose horn's magic seeped into their being, allowing them to catch glimpses of the future.

Unicorns that are as intelligent as the dragon, but unlike the dragon, are incapable of speech, but they can communicate with each other. However, when they form a very close bond with a chosen human, and it can only happen once in a lifetime, they can share thoughts with that human.
