SHORT THREE
I am converting it into a FS because I realised that the story needs posts... I hope you all are enjoying it
Omkara had faced many hurdles and nothing was as new as his wife being this small than him. He was never into what people would think or imagine, but this time Shivaay's words that he knows nothing about his wife actually went into his mind. Things were different now; he was running away from her in the fear that she would ask something that he would not be able to answer. Also, without knowing who is she or what is she how would he be able to spend his life with her. Though he knows about her house, her mother, kaali, Ajay but then that was it. He only knew the names of people who had appeared in her life in front of him. He never thought of investigating about what all she had faced or what all she had gone through.
Life for Omkara changed from the day he saw her. The brave eyes, the tough attitude, the to the point words, everything about her was fascinating. It would be tough to admit but yes Gauri Kumari Sharma was his love at first sight. He married her too but the circumstances were never in his favour. Life took turns and twists which were never expected. He misinterpreted her words, her actions and her deeds. But it was a miracle when everything turned out to be fine and she accepted him and his love wholeheartedly. Still there were gaps and blank corners in their story of love. And to make it perfect her had to take the first step this time. He has to find out the truth for his love, his life, his wife, his Gauri.
Omkara didn't knew when he dozed off thinking about all this at night. The sun rose and the Rays were pretty much making things visible. He got up when his alarm vibrated under his pillow because he could not let it ring. He knew that she was an early riser unlike any body so he made sure to get up before she did. He hurriedly did all his work and prepared his duffle bag. It was not easy because his wife now had spoilt him doing everything for him. He smiled at the thought. He wrote a note and placed it on the side drawer. He got ready and went near her "iss baar sach janne aur samajhne jaa raha hun. Iss baar main tumhe samajhne jaa raha hun he placed a kiss on her forehead and walked out of the room.
"Ready Om? Shivaay asked. "Haan, main taiyyar hun he let out a sigh. "Om, I am telling you, you don't have to do this. You two are perfect Shivaay held his shoulders. "A relationship with blanks is not perfect Shivaay. I have to fill them before they deepen so much that it becomes impossible for me to reach to her. I have to know her before she even thinks of leaving me. Iss rishte ko pura karna zaroori hain. Main phir se usse nahi kho sakta he answered. "Voh kahin nahi jaa rahi hai Omkara Shivaay's tone had assurance. "You never know what turn the time takes Shivaay. You never know how fate will be. Main iss rishte ko itna mazboot banana chahta hoon ki koi tufaan hume alag nahi kar paega (i want to make it strong enough to face any stroms) he said. "Par Omkara agar sach voh hua jo hum nahi sochna chahte toh? Agar von aa chahti ho toh? (But what if the truth turns out to be what we don't want to listen?) he never wanted to even think about this side of the matter now. "Toh main vahi karunga joh sahi hai (then I will do what is right) he smiled at Shivaay and they both left the Mansion.
Gauri woke up at the ring of her alarm. Looking at his side of the bed she founds it empty as always. Sighing she stands up and founds a note on her side of the drawer.
Gauri,
I am leaving for some work. Mujhe nahi pata kab tak lautunga. (I dont know till when will I return)
Omkara
Just a simple letter and she was lost in all the negative thoughts of her mind. Thoughts where I am leaving for work became I am leaving you. Thoughts where Mujhe nahi pata kab tak lautunga became main kabhi nahi lautunga tumhare paas. Tears again started coming back without her notice. She tried to be positive thinking about him loving her but that was not possible. The only thing she could remember were his hateful words. She can't blame him because she never told him anything about her. There was no take care, no love you, no I will return nothing.
"Gauri kya hua, kyun ro rahi hai Annika entered the room and rushed to Gauri.Bhaujayee this letter she handed it to Annika. "Haan toh normal letter hi toh hai Annika shrugged. She didn't said anything, just kept crying like anything. "Gauri stop assuming things Annika said. "Voh humse baat bhi nahi kar rahe the bhaujayee. Voh... humse... she hiccupped. "Shhh... Ho gaya tera... Ab chup, voh jab aaega tab baat karenge usse. Abhi chal she took Gauri with her because leaving her alone didn't seemed convincing.
Shivaay and Omkara reached Bareilly in the matter of an hour because of the Oberoi surname. Omkara took a deep breath inhaling the scent of the soil of the city. This city has given him his life. Bareilly would never be so important for anyone as it was for him. He came here as a lost soul and this city gave him his identity. He was love deprived and this city provided him love. All he has now is because he got her here who became his muse, his inspiration, his love, his Gauri.
He traveled to the road which took him back to his memory lane. The first time her dupatta flew on his shoulder, the time when she dropped her panipuri when they both collided, the time when she fought for her shop, the time when for the first time she saved him, the time when they got married. Every thing was running in his mind like a train of thoughts. Every memory had an important role, an important place in his heart because they were hers. Like a chain each memory was connected with each other with a string. His eyes were actually seeing all the things that happened in past.
"Omkara we reached Shivaay's words brought him out of his thoughts. He nodded his head and they both knocked the door of a house. A lady opened it "arrey betaji aaplog yahan, andar aaiye she welcomed them. They both entered the house finding kids running around laughing and giggling. "You are Omkaraji right? a kid asked him as he nodded in a silent yes. The kid hugged him immediately "thank you for saving our Gauri jiji. Thank you so much. He smiled and hugged him back with his confusing thoughts. "Chalo Rahul, jaa ke khelo Gauri's mother said as the kid ran back.
"Jii betaji, koi kaam tha she asked. "Voh maaji mujhe... hume... Voh... Gauri he stumbled. "Gauri ke bare mein jaanna hai ( want to know about Gauri) she completed as Omkara's eyes widened. "Maa hun main, apne bachchon ke chehre padh sakti hun ( a mother can read the child's face easily) she smiled at him. "Haan mujhe Gauri ke baar mein janna hai (yes I want to know about Gauri) he replied back. "Aap baithiye hum aate hain she made them sit and disappeared in a room. "You are sure that you are ready for the. Omkara you have to be sure before listening her side of the story Shivaay knew her side which made him confirmed about his brother's reaction. "I can't waste time thinking about whether I am ready or not. I already have wasted one whole year Shivaay Omkara answered.
They heard footsteps of her mother coming to them with some pictures in her hand. "Yeh lijiye she handed it to Omkara to have a look and poured some water in a glass for them. He saw the first picture of a little girl curled up in a man's arms while the man was smiling. "Yeh Gauri ke bauji hain ( this is Gauri's father) she pointed on the man "aur voh.. (and that) "Gauri he smiled seeing the picture. "Haan, yeh humari chirraiya she smiled back. He kept flipping the pictures one after the other as the smile on his face kept increasing. He saw her laughing, playing, giggling, posing and doing everything before the picture collection ended. The last picture he saw was her standing with her father as they both were laughing. "Yeh uske bauji ki akhri tasveer hai ( this is the last picture taken of his father) the smile on her face went.
"Iske agle din hi uske Bauji Ka accident ho gaya tha ( the next day her father met with an accident) she said. The smile from both the other faces dropped too. "Unki chale jaane ke baad Gauri ki padhai rokni padi hume, paison ki kami ki wajah se ( after him she had to stop her studies due to lack of money) she completed. Both the brothers were just listening to what the lady said without a voice. "Usne humare liye dukaan bhi samhalni shuru kar di. Par uske chacha aur chachi usse kabhi khush nahi the (she started handling the shop but her uncle and Aunt were never happy) she kept speaking "kyun he asked. "Gauri humara khoon nahi hai, use uske bauji leke aaye the ( because Gauri is not my child, her father brought her) Gauri's mother answered. That came as a shock for him; never had he expected this from her mother. Shivaay, on the other hand had a no expression face because he knew this.
"Usne kabhi hume mehsoos hi nahi hone diya ki voh humari beti nahi hai. Yahan tak ki jab uske chacha aur chachi ne usse becha aur hume maarne ki dhamki di tab bhi voh uss darinde ke saath chali gayi (she never let me feel that she is not my child, in fact when her uncle and Aunt sold her and threatened me to death she still went with that demon) this sentence made Omkara's eyes wide in shock "be...becha he mummered. "Haan unhone kaali Thakur se paise liye the Gauri ke badle (yes, they took money from kaali for Gauri) her gaze shifted to the floor. "Aur voh humari bachchi ko humare saamne ghaseete (drag) hue le gaya (and he dragged my child infront of my eyes out with him) she said. Each and every truth about her past made Omkara curse him even more. His eyes never went to his mother because of his shameful behaviour in the past.
"Uski biwi ne uski wajah se apni jaan bhi de di. Bediyon mein jakad ke rakha tha use. Zanjeerein bandh di thi uske pairon mein jab voh use apne ghar le gaya (his With killed herself for this. He captured Gauri in chaina when he took her to his house) even a thought of the scene made him shiver in anger. "Usse nachwaya bhi tha sabke saamne. Voh yeh sab sirf humare liye kar rahi thi. Sirf humari Jaan bachane ke liye (she was made to dance in front of everyone. And she did for saving my life) her mother had tears in her eyes.
He remembered his harsh words to her "tumhare jaise ladki sirf Ghar todna jaanti hai, jodna nahi. Every sentence of his made his heart wounded more. How could he be so cruel? How could he just imagine things without listening to the whole truth? How could he jump on conclusion without knowing her side? How could he judge her?how could he not listen to her every time she tried to tell him? What all he did was judging her from his eyes and declaring her a culprit when his own eyes had curtains of lies on it. "Sach bahot hi shaitaan chirauta hota hai, itni aasani se hath nahi aata he remembered her lines which seemed fit to this situation.
"Humne aur bachchon nein milkar usse shaadi se bhagne mein madat ki par kaali nein gawon waalon ko bhej diya tha. Use zameen mein gad diya tha aur logon ne usse patthar maare the ( I and the kids help her to run away but kaali and the people caught her burried her and hitted her with stones) the thought of the scene made her cry. "Par phir Shankerji nein aapko bhej diya uski raksha ke liye. Aap nahi jaante ki aapne usse shaadi karke humari chirraiya ko kya diya hai betaji (you don't know what you have done by marrying her son) she looked at him while his eyes were still on floor.
"Humari chirraiya ko humne tab muskurate hue dekha jab voh aapke saath Chulbul banke rehti thi. Par aapki buamaa ko bachane ke liye usse is nark (hell) mein waapis aana pada. Aap bhi aaye the par hume nahi pata kyun waapis laut gaye. Kaali nein usse zabardasti shaadi karne ki koshish ki par voh bhaag gayi. Par ek baar phir Shankerji ki kripa she aap as gaye usse bachane (I saw her smiling when she was with you as chubul. But to save your buamaa she went back to the hell. You came but I don't know why did you leave. She ran away but then you saved her again) she completed.
She stopped because the rest of the story was known to everyone but "usne hume bataya ki aap uska kitna khayal rakhte the aur ab bhi rakhte hain ( she used to tell and even now tellse about how much you care for her) she said with a smile back on her face. He instantly got up and wished her goodbye dragging Shivaay with him. "Om Tu kya kar raha hai Shivaay jerked his hand when they came on the road. "Usne mere bare mein jhooth bola. Main koi aashirwaad nahi hun ( she lies, I am not a blessing). I was even worse than a devil he gritted his teeth. "Om sun, she loves you so much so that she could not degrade your image. Voh bohot achchi hai Om Shivaay said. "Voh bohot achchi hai Shivaay par main nahi he answered.
"Tu kya karne jaa raha hai Om? ( What are you going to do Om) Shivaay asked with a hint of worry in his voice. "Vahi no mujhe karna chahiye, in fact bohot pehle kar dena chahiye tha (the thing I should do iinfact should have done much before) Omkara said and moved to his car with a worried Shivaay.
