We're Losing Ground
Nikita and Herobrine battled back and forth on the back of the Dragon, dancing the deadly dance of sword fighting. Their diamond blades glinted in the sunlight, the reflection almost blinding.
Nikita drew back from the bright light, squinting her eyes and instantly felt Herobrine's blade connect with her armor, knocking her off balance and sending pain lancing through her side. She didn't fall, however, and managed to parry Herobrine's swipe at her head.
"You know that you won't win." Said Herobrine.
"It is a hopeless cause that you fight for."
Herobrine swiped around her head again, but Nikita ducked and swiped at Herobrine's stomach. He jumped backwards and partied the blow, and their swords connected at the hilt, locking them together.
"Even if it is we will still try." Nikita growled as she fought against Herobrine's immense strength, matching it with her own.
"And many more will die because of it."
Suddenly a lightning bolt came out of nowhere and struck the air next to the Dragon's wing, knocking her off balance.
Hold on! Said the Dragon as she tried to regain her balance.
As she tilted to the left Nikita grasped one of the Dragon's spines and held on tight as she regained her balance. The Ender Dragon breathed purple flame under her wing at where Herobrine clung, but he disappeared and reappeared behind Nikita, but she was ready. She turned around and locked blades with Herobrine, again launching them into an intense sword fight.
This time, however, she charged her blade with the strength of the lightning she could harness and saw Herobrine do the same.
As they fought she saw an opening to release the energy trapped in the blade, but so did Herobrine. The combined force of the magic together sent them both flying, Nikita falling through the air.
She felt something catch her and looked around her to see Herobrine floating in midair, blocks of stone, grass, wood and leaves floating around him.
She stood and regained her balance, hopping from block to block, trying to get closer to Herobrine, but the blocks kept trying to keep her from him.
The Ender Dragon turned sharply and breathed rippling purple fire at Herobrine, and for a moment Nikita thought that she had succeeded, but she sensed Herobrine come up behind her and turned to meet him, fighting him again, jumping from block to block, trying not to fall.
Nikita then created a portal and went through it, coming out in the space above Herobrine and tackling him. Then both of them were falling through the air, and Herobrine let the blocks catch him, and Nikita barely managed to grab onto one.
"You know the great thing about being all-powerful?" Said Herobrine, looking down at Nikita.
"I can do most anything."
Nikita watched as he summoned a fireball and aimed it at her. Nikita tried to move from the block she was on, but couldn't do so in time.
Instead the fireball hit her head on, flinging her into the air yet again, but this time she landed hard against the trunk of a tree.
Nikita lay there, unable to move because of the pain coursing through her body in waves, the burns the fire had caused throbbing. As she raised her head her vision blurred, everything seeming out of focus and hazy.
I told you that you couldn't defeat me. Said Herobrine's voice in her head.
Get out of my head. Nikita hissed.
I don't think that you have any power to be telling me what to do, let alone the strength. Herobrine said.
Stabbing pain then shot through Nikita's head, and she cried out in agony. She felt Herobrine dig deeper into her mind, driving her down into the smallest corner of her being. Nikita knew that she had to fight back, or she would lose this fight, but she was weak and in pain.
She gritted her teeth as she began to gather enough strength to fight Herobrine, to get him out of her head, but the process was slow.
Nikita watched as Herobrine turned to his army and gave them a command, watched as they surged forwards and pushed Brimstone's and the Island's soldiers back into the tree line, closer to the city.
Nikita finally gathered enough strength and pushed him out of her mind with tremendous effort, letting a cry of both pain and anger escape her as she did. The intense pain in her head them ceased and Nikita was left breathing hard on the grass to regain her strength.
The first thing Nikita did was tell the Ender Dragon to keep Herobrine at bay.
Fight him, do anything to keep him from organizing his army. She told the her.
The Ender Dragon acknowledged her and turned for another attack. Herobrine was ready however and kept her at bay with fire barrier. She roared as the flames grew higher, and breathed her own purple flames at the orange ones, the purple driving the orange flames back little by little.
Nikita drug herself to her feet, letting her power wash through her, giving her her strength back. She then realized something. The burns she had sustained from the fireball had healed fully, leaving only singed clothes and bloodstains behind.
Yes! She thought, standing up to her full height.
Now how to get up there.
She knew that she had to do it fast, or their army would be pushed to far towards Brimstone to matter. Nikita looked at the diamond sword in her hand and charged it with power, and then threw it. She discharged the power when it got close to Herobrine, knocking him out of the sky. She summoned the sword back and got ready to fight again.
Go help the army. She told the Dragon.
Alright. Said the Dragon, turning and flying towards where the fighting was happening deeper in the forest.
Herobrine then appeared in front of Nikita and took her off guard, slamming her up against a tree.
"You can't win." He hissed in her ear, keeping the tip of his sword pressed her her throat.
"Brimstone will be mine."
"I don't think so." Hissed Nikita.
Nikita then took the small dagger she had hidden up her sleeve before the battle and stabbed Herobrine in the side with it. He stumbled backwards, gasping in pain. She watched as Herobrine removed the dagger and threw it to the ground, his eyes angry and full of hatred.
What happened next shocked her. The wound sealed itself, leaving only a bloodstain on his cyan shirt.
"I cannot be killed." He hissed, an evil smile crossing his face.
No, there must be a way, somehow. Thought Nikita as Herobrine advanced towards her, diamond sword held at his side.
"You, however, are human."
A circle of hostile mobs appeared around them, blocking off any of Nikita's escape routes.
"Your little army is getting steadily pushed towards your precious city." He growled.
"And once that happens the city walls will crumble, making room for me to take the city and destroy your army."
He was now only inches from Nikita, staring at her with unblinking eyes.
Nikita, the mobs are pushing us towards Brimstone. Said the Dragon.
The fear must have shown in her eyes because Nikita saw Herobrine smile an evil smile.
"And now I will finish what I started and take Minecraftia for my own."
Then he was gone, vanished.
He's going for Brimstone. Nikita told the Dragon as she landed in the clearing, scattering the mobs around Nikita.
Nikita scrambled onto her back and they took off, flying towards Brimstone.
This just got a whole lot worse. Thought Nikita.
I don't know if we will make it through this. She told the Dragon.
Have faith, the war isn't over yet. She told Nikita.
Our fight is not yet finished.
Nikita looked towards where Brimstone lay, and felt tiredness wash over her. She let her power renew her strength and let her courage resurface, readying her for yet another fight with Herobrine.
She hadn't given up yet, and neither had the army.
