You wrapped the cake box with a baby blue wrapping paper. Mahiru works so hard to keep life simple and he has helped you out numerous times since you have been best friends. In return, you figured the least you could do was bake a cake for your friend and longtime crush.

Taking a deep breath, you knock on the door to his apartment. The door opened, revealing Mahiru's Servamp, the one and only Kuro. Kuro yawned and tiredly opened the door wider, allowing you to come in.

"Oh, hey, (Y/N). Nice to see you." the lazy Servamp looks behind him to yell for his Eve. "Mahiru! Your crush is here!" This caused your face to heat up and go red.

Suddenly, a wild Mahiru runs to the door, his face tinted a bright pink as he hit Kuro with a broom.

"Stupid lazy cat! Shut up!" Kuro rubs his head and pouts.

"What would your girlfriend think about you hitting a poor cat like me?" Mahiru sweatdrops as he pushes the sleepyash out of the way.

"C-come in" he says shyly. You couldn't help but giggle. You walk in and followed Mahiru to the kitchen, where he was currently cleaning.

"So, what's up?" Mahiru asks, shooting you his beautiful smile. Your heart skips a beat and you clear your throat.

"O-oh, yeah. I came by to give you something" you said, referring to the box.

"What for?" He asks, his cheeks tinted pink. Looking down at the floor, you shuffled your feet around a bit as you feel heat rise to your cheeks.

"Well, I know how you like to help out a lot to keep things simple for everyone and there have been many many times you have helped me out. So, with your fondness of things that are simple, I baked you a simple cake!" You placed the box on the table, scooting it towards him a bit. His hazel eyes brightened and he took the box carefully.

"Y-you didn't have to..." he said shyly. You chuckled lightly.

"Oh hush and open it" Then, Mahiru does as he is told and reveals a simple white cake with words written with black icing that said "thank you" on the top. Before you knew it, you were being embraced tightly.

"Thank you so much, (Y/N)" you wrapped your arms around the simple boy as well, your heart fluttering about.

"It's no problem, Mahiru" you said, smiling. He pulled away and kissed your forehead.

"I-I've been kinda wanting to do that for a while" he says, rubbing the back of his neck nervously. In return, you kiss his cheek.

"I like you too, Mahiru"
