Remember how I mentioned wanting more fantasy-esque Pokéfics? Well...

Thanks to azule-, I have a new story in the works. I've only been working on it for the past couple of days, but I'm so excited about it that I can't stay quiet. The inspiration for this Pokéfic hit me like a truck.

Here's the current synopsis—

In a realm full of floating islands, sky pirates, elemental magicians, and sole companion Pokémon, peace is difficult to maintain.

Shaymin, kind Pokémon who'd guided travelers once man learned how to fly, were hunted to extinction for their Gracideas: magical flowers rumored to bring good luck. Ever since their disappearance, the world of Caelum has begun to fall apart. Due to natural disasters such as floods and wildfires destroying the land, powerful magic-wielders seeking revenge on the innocent, and countries preparing to go war, hope is all but gone.

Runaway pirate August Gold has done the unthinkable and stolen the last known Shaymin from the infamously vicious Captain Briley Calico. In an attempt to save the Pokémon's life, August will uncover the mystery behind the isles with the aid of unlikely allies. However, one doesn't escape the life of magic and piracy that easily.

Usually making outlines is the worst part of the writing process to me because I find it so boring, but I'm having loads of fun with TIoG! Creating individual islands, setting limitations on magic, thinking up pirates, and establishing rules on air travel is an interesting process. This project is pushing my imagination, and I couldn't be happier about it.

However, a problem I see happening during this project is getting carried away with so many ideas that it turns into 40+ chapter Pokéfic ;u;

Now I have an excuse to rewatch the Pirates of the Caribbean movies~
