When some people leave chats here, and don't text back for a long while..

I get worried. This person I've been roleplaying hasn't replied in about a month, even though I've notified him every day or so...

Or when somebody, say @NekoGoat , leaves for a while without say.

I get worried:

What if they commuted suicide?

What if they got murdered?

What if they are getting abused right now?

What if the just... left?

Is it my fault? Did I make this happen...

Did I let this happen?

And even though they are most likely fine... and they reply a while later with an explanation...

I can never know if they are lying or not.
What if they were getting abused?

Tried suicide?

Almost died?

Is in hospital?

What if they got hurt?

Did I do it?

Was I the cause of it?

..but, they are usually always fine. Although, sometimes......

They aren't.

Once I had been talking to somebody for a while and they just left. After a while, I checked their profile. There was a new book with a few hundred views, as this person was quite popular. The story was called 'I'm sorry.' I read it..

It was a suicide note. They had killed themselves because nobody cared for them... and because somebody had said something to them.

I can't help but wonder..

Was I the cause?
