Unknown Similarities
We just stood there staring at each other as I saw a tear streak down Lapis' cheek. She slowly shakes her head and finally breaks the silence, still facing the ground.
"C...Come on..."
She whispered and pressed a button next to the cell to disable the electric field. She slowly walked next to me and wrapped an arm around my shoulders, I placed an arm on here's as well and we tried to take one step forward together. The sticky and hardened pool of my blood I had been standing in stuck to my feet and surprisingly pulled me back during the step which caused me to trip onto my face, pushing Lapis down a little. Stunned, I let out a small painful laugh while stumbling just to get back on my feet, the action was soon aided by Lapis. As we both finally got back up, we wrapped our arms around each other's shoulders again and reattempted the next step, It went easier but I still lost a little balance, considering how my legs went numb in an effort my form made not to retreat, yet I managed to stay up with Lapis.
"Are-...are you okay? W-...Why would you do that to yourself?" Her voice was strained, like she was holding back tears again. I just gulped and kept staring at the floor as we stepped out into the hall and she kept leading me down it, each other step I took there were sticky blood footprints that trailed behind me .
"Peridot..."
No response.
"Peridot!"
I tightened my eyelids and turned my head away from her as she shook my shoulder.
"Are you...depressed?"
I turned my head back around to face forward.
" 'Depressed'? Is that a human term? How do you know a human term?"
"Well...Amethyst said you-"
My eyes snapped wide open and I jumped from her arm, causing me to have to lean on the wall.
"WHAT!? SHE'S HERE!?" I yelled in her face, panicked while she slowly nods.
I fell to my knees in front of her and groaned,
"Noooooooo...".
Hunching my back over, I clenched my hands in my hair, pulling it slightly.
" stupid, stupid, STUPID!"
"Peridot I-"
"Rah!!" I jolted up and turned to Lapis, pain shocking me yet again but I didn't care.
"I COULD'VE HELPED HER, LAPIS!!"
She stepped back one and I started pacing around with limps.
"BUT NOOO. I JUST HAD TO LEAVE HER LIKE THE WIMP I AM!!!!" I screamed in her face, leaving her stunned and staring at me with wide eyes.
I blinked, realizing what I had just done before sighing and backing down.
"I-...let's just go."
She nodded and reached out to my shoulders, I stepped away.
"I'll walk..."
"No, Peridot! You can't-"
" I said I'll walk!!!"
I snapped at her, turning away and pacing myself forward. Each limp was a mixture of pain and cold again.
I hated it.
I growled as I realized she had to lead so I let her walk in front of me.
There was a long silence between us as she walked as slow as she could, attempting to help me keep up as I limped behind her, blood trailing from my wounds.
Lapis looked back at me with concern every once in awhile, a face like she was very troubled yet scared of something.
I could tell she was being made to do something she would never want to do.
She took a right and stepped inside a dark room, yet once I saw it I could see outlines of a control panel in front of a large clear screen.
I gulped when I made it inside. The door slammed down behind me and I jolted around to see a grinning Jasper.
This can't be good.
Amethyst's POV
I had been chained to this same wall every since I got on this dumb ship.
Right here in front of a large clear screen that would have been mistaken for a shadow if I hadn't been observing it for the past... I dunno, FOREVER?
I hate it here.
I hate them.
But I despise her.
I wish I could've ripped her to shreds right from the start.
When I first saw her 3,000 years ago.
"Then- Then Pearl would still be here..."
"Leave Steven out of this!!"
I struggled under her boot, which moved higher up to my neck.
After no response I started regaining the feel again, my muscles tensed up and I could actually tell my eyes were blazing with the wild I had in Kindergarten. I could now chanel that same viciousness into something positive, something that'd help me fight.
I struck her knee and kicked up as hard as I could, throwing her off me immediately. I jumped up and spun around to face who was already facing me with an expression fierce with sharp anger.
Without hesitation, I charged towards the gem and kicked her face before she could move out of the way. She instantly grabbed my foot and spun me around until I got dizzy and released me, flinging me to the wall that I had recently crashed in to. My entire body stung and felt like I couldn't move. Soon, that sting was replaced with cold.
I couldn't feel anything anymore.
"Ugh. This is why we need to actually time incubations. Otherwise we just end up with garbage like this one who won't follow simple orders. Nighty - night, runt."
Dark words thundered into my skull and before I knew it, my vision closed out into darkness.
The last words from Tourmaline still remained in my head. I was getting tired of this setting around me.
Just as I was going to try to 'sleep' this thing out, the door to the left of me slid up to reveal Tourmaline.
Of course.
She mockingly stepped toward me, her black boots echoing on the floor.
Step by step, the sound of the clank sent shivers up my spine. I was getting kinda scared now, the feeling just wouldn't come to me again.
I felt helpless.
"Well...seems like someone still misses their 'Perwy Werwy' ?"
A sick laugh followed that stupid slick sentence.
A sentence that really got you to question what just is behind that twisted mind of hers.
She stared down at me with another cruel chuckle.
She finds this funny?
Funny to see gems like this?
Well You know what?
I'm starting to think Steven was wrong about gems.
Most are just too far gone.
Makes me wanna vomit.
"Heh, just so you know, she's never gonna want you. Calculated to be one of the most uncaring gems you could ever meet in those useless little tech rooms. Too bad, and some used to like her too."
My glare of confusion caught her eyes.
"Oh what? She hasn't told you? HA! Well a loong, looooong time ago, she fell in loove with Topaz~. Who died in a rebel attack~.
And I'd admit, that look in her face as she watched Topaz get strangled and broke was pretty hilarious!"
Her laughter roared through the room, echoing on the walls to thunder into my eardrums.
"You're sick..." I growled, refusing to even look at her insane eyes.
"And you're gonna be forever single because I highly doubt that Peridot would ever want you after you nearly shattering her twice."
My head shot up and I glared at her, jerking at the chains as I growled again.
"Don't you dare bring that into the conversation! I-"
"But, we'll see just how much she cares about you~."
And just like that, a bright light flashed on.
My heart stopped as my eyes set upon the scene behind the clear glass dividing the room into two, Peridot was strapped to a chair, staring at me with tears in her eyes and screaming.
P.s - please forgive my lateness on updates.
