Somethings Wrong

Peridot flinched as the temple door closed, the threat still echoing through her mind. She immediantly began to feel panicked. What's Yellow Diamond going to do when she finds out I abandoned my mission, and an easy one at that!?
Peridot sighed,
Most likely, it wont be pretty....like last time.
She started to pace around back and forth, every question and senario that piled up in her head only added to the stress.
Oooh! What am I going to do!? I cant come out without Garnet noticing and there isnt any other accessible warp pad close!!
I'm so Dead!!!!
She had been breathing heavily the hole rant, but her breathing stopped when she heard a faint grunt of fustration. She looked down, it appeared that the sound was coming from...under her?
Peridot walked around the solid part of the room, searching for some kind of path leading downwards. She glanced to the large waterfalls, a curious expression formed on her face.
Is she...below the waterfalls?
Peridot walked up to the beginning of the flat water and looked down, observing it closely. She lifted one leg carefully over the assumable liquid and steadily touched her metal leg on the water. She didnt sink. Becoming more comfortable with the position, she set both legs above the water and stepped forward twice. With nearly all wearyness disappeared, she started to run forward to try to jump on a waterfall. Yet she didnt notice the edge. Halfway to the end, a sudden loud crash caused her to flinch and stumble down, sliding a bit over the slightly slippery surface. Once back up, she was stunned as she walked over to the edge. There was water flowing down into a darkened area with hundreds of jagged purplish rocks. She shuddered upon seeing the height and stepped back once, still leaning forward to try to spot something below. Another rough boom caught her off guard, she jumped and slipped backward, sliding off the edge. She desperately tried to grab the corner but her fingers couldn't reach and to the dark rocks she fell. After a split second, she caught herself sliding down a loopy waterslide, without the slide. The gravity shifted from time to time on her way down, and she was screaming into the water, muffling her voice and causeing a gurgle. Finally, she splashed into a large pool of water, ending the terror ride. She quickly jolted up to the surface and swam to the shore. The strong odor of garbage filled her nose as she stood up, observing her surroundings. There seemed to be endless piles of trash and the walls were covered with growing quartz-like rocks sticking out. All of a sudden, she heard a low growl and footsteps walking towards her direction. She squeaked and tried to hide behind a large upside down couch to her left, but she tripped over her own legs and landed on the hardened ground with a loud echoing clank. She facepalmed and attempted to scrambled back up, but was stopped by a shocked and strained voice, like it had been crying. "...Peridot?"
Peridot squeaked again at hearing her name, and she looked up at Amethyst from the floor.
"Uh...yes?" She couldn't really think of any other thing to say, "What are you doing here?" Amethyst shreiked, making it seem like it was an unpleasant thing to see her. Peridot was slightly offended, but she just stood up and brushed herself off, acting as if she hadn't heard her. "Did I...Disturb you?" Amethyst tried to not sound concerned but she couldn't hide it, and Peridot noticed.
"Hmm. Yes, but im alright." She replied casually, shruging it off.
"So what were you doing?" Peridot pushed nosily. "Eeeeh ....." Amethyst uneasily shifted around, obviously not wanting to share.
Peridot took sight of the large slashes in the middle of random trash piles. Her eyes widened as she realized the anger the gem had just dealt with. She still took no chances with Kindergarten gems when they were experiencing a deep emotion. Peridot nervously tried to shuffle back, yet her back touched a pile, blocking her from moving any more backwards. Amethyst somewhat looked heartbroken at the action and reached out to Peridot, yet pulled back her arm then tilted her head down, covering her face. Peridot shook her head in fustration.
C'mon Peridot! You cant just let her make you feel like this! You need to fight it, just, ignore....it.
But no matter what she said to try to convince herself, she couldn't shake the feeling as guilt washed over her.
No! Stop acting this way! You cant let that terrible history replay! Stop!
Stop it!
Her knees began to get wobbly and her legs soon buckled under her.
But- What is this!? Why am I feeling this way again? Its been forever! You cant just start this all over again- just- NO!!
Peridot's eyes teared up as she moved her hand up to hide her face from Amethyst, who began peeking at her. Amethyst started to get worried, she inched closer and got no response from Peridot, who soon sat down entirely and began quietly sobbing. "Peridot?...a-are you okay? W-why are you-"
"Nothing, its just fine..." Peridot grumbled, turning her head away and placing both hands on her face to cover her eyes.
Something is definitely up.
