--But Your Lies Ain't Working Out, Look Who's Hurtin' Now...

K-Ci had just done something abysmal.

Really abysmal.

He had just lied to Jodeci.

He had told them that Khyrese was OK with all of them coming over, when the real truth was that he hadn't even asked Khyrese at all about them.

The truth was Khyrese didn't like K-Ci talking about Jodeci because it had showed him that he wasn't serious about Serenity Falls.

And K-Ci was serious about it.

Was he?

He didn't even know himself to be honest.

He was actually on the fence about everything.

He didn't like K-Ci talking about them... so what the heck would he have done when he had realised that Jodeci was coming?

And K-Ci couldn't really have told them to go back home, he would have had to lie again... plus they would have gotten suspicious as well.

Right now, he was walking around in circles to and fro, biting his fingernails nervously. He actually had the option to perform something today but he didn't want to.

K-Ci didn't like performing anything by himself- he had always done so with his group. Truth be told, the kid had stage fright... serious stage fright.

Dianté (aka one of Khyrese's sons... the other one was Jordan Francis K-Ci believed... or Jahking. He didn't actually remember) had realised that K-Ci was panicking over something and he didn't know what.

Serenity Falls was going over a rehearsal in a small room. Dianté was breakdancing soon along with Jordan Francis and Jahking.

So he still had time to talk to a seemingly panicky K-Ci.

"K-Ci."

They finna freak when they find out that I lied to them... and they're probably never gonna trust me again because of it.

I did a very terrible thing.

Ya think?

He had realised all of this after how long?

Either way, he didn't reply to Dianté at all, only causing him to click his fingers at him, which had caught his attention.

"K-Ci. You okay? You seem a bit..... nervous about something," he deadpanned. "And I don't know why 'cause you ain't even performing nothing. Unless it's for another reason entirely, I believe?"

"I lied to Jodeci."

A semi confused Dianté didn't say anything, as he was trying to process everything in which K-Ci had just said to him just now.

He had actually been talking really quickly, because he wasn't very happy about the whole situation at all.

"Whatcha mean you lied to them?"

"I told them your dad's OK with them coming here."

When Dianté had heard all of that, absolutely mortified weren't even the right words to describe how he was feeling at the moment.

"I'm sorry. What?"

"I told them that-"

"I know what you told them, why'd you tell them that?" Dianté fumed. "You know my father don't like you talking about Jodeci when you around here, 'cause it shows you ain't serious about Serenity Falls. You in serious trouble when he finds out about them."

K-Ci had three options really.

A) He had forced Dianté to convince Khyrese to let Jodeci stay here.

B) He had told Jodeci to go back home.

C) He made a run for it.

A backfired, K-Ci had just done that although Dianté was mad at him for going against Khyrese's wishes.

B wasn't going to work either. Jojo had just texted K-Ci saying that him, Dalvin and Jojo were all there right now.

Or they would have been there soon.

More specifically:

What's up, bruh?
We finna be here in five minutes!
Can't wait to see you and Serenity Falls at your concert. We hope you ain't lying about this either... but then again, you never really lie!

Hahahahaha.

Which was a lie.

That was also sent two minutes ago now, what the hell was K-Ci supposed to do now?

You could tell them to go back.

But they're five minutes away...

Plus they'll get suspicious.

They'd want to know why I want them to go back, then I'll have to lie again- why did I lie to them in the first place?

Think, K-Ci, think.

He had accepted the situation at the end.

There was nothing he could have done.

He was done for.
