Stiles was wary of Theo Raeken from the beginning, and he certainly wasn't comfortable with how quickly he became close with Violet; Stiles' best friend apart from Scott.

Although Theo's intentions aren't what everyone first thought, they definitely were not to fall for Violet as hard as he did. And with the Dread Doctors taking kids only for them to turn up later with mercury spilling from their bodies, there's no telling how corrupted the innocent and pure Violet was going to become.
