Tears, Fights, Shocks, and Hugs

Hello! This is my very first fanfiction here on Wattpad, so I hope you all like this! I had an idea when I was watching S2E10. Most of the DT episodes occur chronologically, so I had an idea that how would Della react if she came to earth only to find out her Uncle was 'dead'. So, I wrote this based on that. Enjoy!-

.....

"No! No! He was too young to die!" A bawling Donald Duck ran out of the foyer of McDuck Manor. He ran straight outside, near the forest that ran along the edge of the manor. Donald sat under a tree, with his knees tucked under his chin, and just stayed there for a while.

He fondly remembered the first adventure they went on, though Uncle Scrooge would always tell them that it was a 'business trip'. He never forgot the time when he offered his mansion as a home to him and his sister and comforted them about the loss of their parents. Uncle Scrooge had always been there for him, and now, he-. Donald couldn't bear to finish the thought.

Donald was so caught up in his grief that he did not notice a red and gold rocket flying over his head. He did not hear the loud crash as it flew into the forest. However, he did feel a hand on his hand, shaking him out of his stupor.

He looked up and froze. "Della?" He questioned disbelievingly. "It's me, Donald. Why are you crying?"

His surprised expression immediately morphed into one of anger. "Where were you for all these years?" Came the first question out of Donald's beak.
"I was literally stuck on the moon, surviving only on Oxy-Chew (which by the way tastes ter-ruh-ble), and had to build the Spear from scratch!"
"I was left to fend for myself and the boys, just because you were stupid enough to get onto that cursed rocket in the first place!"
"Stop changing the subject!"
"Just because I missed you doesn't mean I'm not mad at you, you big dummy!"

Saying so, Donald and Della burst into tears and hugged each other. A few seconds into their embrace, Donald squawked, "Let. Me. Go. Need oxygen." Della promptly dropped Donald onto the ground. She smiled sheepishly, "Sorry about that, Don." Donald merely glared at her.

"Now, come on! Let's get to the mansion. I can't wait to see my boys. And Uncle Scrooge of course!" Della excitedly jumped forward but was rewarded with a thump as she hit the ground. "Darn earth gravity," she muttered under her breath.

"Um, Della? There's something you need to know," said Donald softly.

.....

"What do you mean he's dead?! I came all the way from the moon, fighting beak and claw to get here, and I find out my Uncle is dead. Dead!" Della angrily ranted.

"Are you okay, Del?" asked Donald.

"No! I'm not okay. He can't have just died like that, without ever saying good-bye," she threw herself into her brother's arms and cried out all her sorrow and guilt. "I never got a chance to tell him how sorry I was to ever step a foot into that blasted rocket ship."

Donald patted her back consolingly, even as he sniffled. "There, there. His f-funeral is still on. You can at least pay your respects to him."

"Yeah, I guess you're right, Don."

The Duck twins somberly made their way to the Manor. But they never expected to see what happened next.

.....

"What?! You're alive? As a horse?" Wait, did head transplants even exist yet? Was that Glomgold?

Even more shocking was the fact that the elderly stork in the audience was in fact their uncle! Or, he at least looked like him. "Of course Ae'm alive, yeh idiot! Ae took mah own advice, and listened to mah family."

"Ae rested for a day, then we put our heads together and realized that this was obviously your idiotic scheme to win the bet." What bet? Why on earth would Uncle Scrooge make a bet with Glomgold of all people?

"YOU were Chester." Who was this bubbly pink girl? She sure wasn't one of Della's, or was she?

"So we staged the funeral to get you to admit that you had committed fraud." said a duckling wearing a green hoodie, as he clicked the recorder he held in his hand. (Yes, I changed it from Huey to Louie.)

"Legally making me the Richest Duck in the World again. Thank yeh!" said a definitely not-dead Scrooge with a flourish.

Donald couldn't take any further shocks. First Della, then Glomgold, and an alive Scrooge! So, he did the only sensible thing. He promptly fainted onto the expensive marble-tiled floor.

Everyone in the foyer turned towards the sound. Della was oblivious to the unconscious body beside her and stared at an equally stunned Scrooge.

"You're alive?!" came the simultaneous cry from both the ducks.

Della ran forward to hug her uncle. When Scrooge finally let go of her, he had a wide smile on his beak and a tear in his eye. "It's you, it's really you!" Della gave a weak chuckle at that, "Yup, it's really me." He hugged her again, "Ae thought Ae'd lost you, lass." "Not yet, Uncle Scrooge." Della smiled.

"As much as I'd love to break up this family reunion, what is going on in here?" rudely questioned Glomgold. Owlson could be seen face-palming in the background. Her employer could be so annoying at times, or was always annoying to be more precise.

"The Press would like an explanation as well, Mr. McDuck." piped up Roxanne Featherly, who was the Media Representative.

Scrooge waved a nonchalant hand, "All questions will be answered by tomorrow. But Ae'm sure the kids would love to meet their mother. Now, if you'd excuse us..."

.....

So, should I continue this or let it be as a one-shot? Let me know!
