Your POV
A pleasant chilly air looms over the bustling city, this very same chill reaching out to fulfill the very important task of fogging windows up, offering everyone that rare opportunity of writing that super important secret message on the foggy white windows.
Don't worry, I'm guilty of scribbling a badly drawn horse on a foggy window when I ignored my angry bus driver on a cold rainy day and kept at it with my artistically challenged mind.
Temperature and an abundance of moisture in the air from past rainfalls (A/N: Ahem) were really the only factors in this pretty chilly day. Stay toasty inside, kids.
You were inside; you can easily confirm that, but you were not exactly in a really familiar place. Or safe, for that matter.
Let me give you a hint of where you are. The last time you came here, you randomly got a cookie from a certain glitterball. A good cookie, at best. Does that ring a bell?
...
Ta-da! You were at the Matsuno residence again!
Except, this time, you were pounding your fists repeatedly against the poor wooden table where an innocent open textbook and lonely wooden pencil shook from the hulk force of your fists, a hint of frustration in your worried expression.
Who said tutoring someone was fun?
"Nonono, I said to divide 25 by x, not multiply." You shook your head a bit too harshly as pain started raising to the inner depths of your brain, pounding and ramming into your skull's walls. Headaches are simply the worst.
"But you just said to multiply a few seconds ago..." Ichimatsu pinned his ordinary wooden pencil on one spot, confused and seemingly stuck on this one problem.
"I mean-argh! It's so hard to explain it!" People skills are not your specialty, especially if you were using it on someone similar to you.
"..." A 'seriously' face stuck on him, still waiting for you to explain it properly. You were the tutor after all...
"Ummm, that was because you could use the property until now. You have to use another one or else you'll get the original problem again." I think we can all agree that explaining math was the hardest skill to achieve.
How do math teachers do it? How do they math?
"Alright..." Ichimatsu didn't question you further and continued on, scribbling more numbers at incredible speed. His elbow was in the way, blocking your curious eyes from watching him do the math himself. Whatever he was writing, it was definitely long and detailed.
Ichimatsu held up his textbook, tapping the long log of numbers on the side. "That wouldn't work. This problem wouldn't be solved by dividing 25 by x, it would be the opposite."
You were seriously getting out of character because of math, aren't you? "H-How!? I remembered this exact problem back in my 2nd year!" You didn't get it. You were sure that the steps were right, you were sure of it!
"The answer is 6." Ichimatsu simply stares at your face, blank and unmoving while he waited for a response of defeat.
Upon closer inspection, those log of numbers were more detailed than you thought. The stacks of divisions and multiplication, plus the addition of formulas written out all let to one single underlined answer. Your pupils nearly dilated to nothingness, scared and surprised from how beautifully executed it was.
x=6
If it were me, I would shout out 'Woah, technology!'
"You answered it..." The math was correct, if not, more higher leveled than you. You stared at Ichimatsu, not even sure on who he was anymore. Was he that scary dude who was dumb? Or was he secretly some shy genius?
Should you be afraid now? Should you leave now?
The brothers told you that he struggled in school, even more than annoying Osomatsu the master slacker. They told you he was apparently way behind in the curriculum, still stuck on simple 1st year academics.
They told you he was badly failing in every class, even the classes that were suppose to help him in his already failing core subjects. Ironic, wasn't it?
How can you know they were true after what you just saw? Sure, he did skip that one time to just stalk you during gym, but that was one time. Choromatsu confirmed that everyone was in class, not going AWOL ever in their childish school lives.
So how can you explain that? He clearly knew what he was doing. Why was he failing then?
"I don't need a tutor." Ichimatsu hissed that one sentence as a fact, which really was true. He doesn't need you. At all.
"...I see that." You vaguely agreed with him, a small frown forming on your lips now.
It was a silence showdown, one of you waiting for the other to back down.
It was you who sadly took a small step back, as if you were a tiny puppy that just got kicked.
Then that one small step turned into a full burst of steps, all deeply flourished with confusion and uneasiness driven in them. Soon you arrived at the door, panting crazily from the panic and small workout of fear.
"[Y/N]-chan? You're leaving already?" Osomatsu was passing by, heading upstairs for an important mission, aka annoy Choromatsu is on pause.
"Um! Yeah! My Mom needs me. I hope you will understand." A little white lie didn't hurt anyone, right?
His face lights up in a bit of disappointment, but other than that, he didn't catch your lie at all. "Oh, well in that case, thank you for coming today. I really appreciate you taking care of ol' Grumpy Cat for me!"
Grumpy Cat? Huh, it fits him.
"Yeah, hahaha..." You nervously laughed and trailed off to silence, really hoping it didn't sound phony.
A beam of light shone on Osomatsu like a stage light, confusing you to the very bone. What?
"Our dear Ichi is about to take an important test once the weekend is over, so we hope he'll at least pass this time. I think it's my fault for making him such a sucky student, but hey, I'll try to make sure my little brother won't follow my bad influence any longer."
If Ichimatsu was so smart, then did he just have bad luck? Did the teachers just hate him?
You were a bit weirded out by his small speech, slowly stepping away and opening the door in a muffled creak. "Yeah, well I'll have to be going now. Take care..." What a half-hearted farewell that was.
Osomatsu closed his eyes in the middle of his little epiphany, now opening them up to respond to you.
"Likewis-Huh?" He didn't see you in sight. The door was wide open, no trace of you for miles.
Osomatsu blinked, shrugging in disappointment. "Ahh, they always go away in the end."

(A/N): Finally, the plot is moving more faster now. The slow pace was bugging me for the past few weeks.
