Chapter Twelve: Drawings

Nobody's Pov

Once everyone settled down the screen turned on as the next scene played.

The camera pans to the McCall household where we see Scott, Stiles, Kurt, Lydia and Chris standing around the island of the kitchen table.

On the table sat the sword that killed Allison in a black case.

The pack, the ones that were there the day Allison died, cringed at seeing the sword and looked away.

They hated seeing that sword because it was the one that had killed Allison.

And whenever they saw that sword flashbacks of that horrible night resurfaced for all of them.

"Anybody mind if we close this thing?" Lydia asked, clearly uncomfortable.

"Yeah" Chris nodded.

Chris closed and locked the case and set it on the ground.

"Does your, uh, mom know that you're here?" Chris asked, looking at Scott.

"Does she know that you're here?" Scott asked, raising an eyebrow at him.

"No. And I kind of want to keep it that way" Chris told him.

"Yeah, me too" Scott nodded.

"I'm a little hurt you didn't want me to know you were back in town" Melissa frowned, looking at her son.

Scott frowned too because he doesn't understand why his future self wouldn't want his mom to know he was back.

Despite hating the town because of everything he and his friends had to endure that doesn't mean he would pass up the opportunity to see his mom.

"I'm sorry, mom. I'll make it up to you" Scott told her.

Melissa smiled at her son and ruffled his hair causing him to laugh.

Melissa then looked at Chris causing him to look at her.

They blushed a little before looking away.

The ones from Lima Ohio looked at the two adults curiously before looking at Kurt who sighed.

"They dated for a while but broke up and Chris left beacon hills while Melissa stayed" Kurt explained.

He was honestly rooting for Chris and Melissa when he started dating Stiles and met them.

He knew that those two cared for each other and he could tell there was love in their eyes.

He's honestly confused as to what happened for them to call it quits.

But, maybe, after all of this they can talk and work things out.

"Alright. Lydia, we've got the earth where she died, the weapon that took her life. According to you, that's steps one and two. What is next?" Chris asked.

Lydia took out a folder and took out drawings and set them on the table.

"I was, uh, hoping you could help me figure that out" Lydia said.

All the men looked at her in confusion causing her to let out a small sigh.

"I mean, to be honest, I'm a little out of practice with all of this" Lydia told them.

"You still scream like a banshee, right?" Scott asked.

"Not quite like I used to" Lydia told him.

"The hell does that mean?" Stiles asked, raising an eyebrow at her.

Lydia glanced at him, blushing a little, before looking away.

Kurt noticed and narrowed his eyes at the woman as he scooted closer to his husband.

Stiles raised an eyebrow at his husband, his lips twitching upwards, before wrapping an arm around his waist.

"Beloved, don't be jealous. She means nothing to me. I promise" Stiles told him.

"Good to know" Kurt grinned.

He kissed his husband on the cheek and cuddled into his side making Stiles smile.

"It's just like a muscle. You stop using it, and it atrophies" Lydia said.

"Why did you stop using your power?" Chris asked.

Lydia opened her mouth to say something but someone beat her to it.

"Stiles".

Everyone turned around and the eyes of the men widened when they see Jackson Whittemore walking into the kitchen.

Scott and Stiles's eyes widened at seeing Jackson while Peter, Chris and Derek were confused.

"Uh...why the hell did you bring your ex-boyfriend to help?" Peter asked, raising an eyebrow.

"And why the hell is he saying I'm the reason you're not using your powers?" Stiles asked.

He hasn't seen Jackson in years.

The last time he saw him was when he returned to beacon hills with Ethan of all people.

Honestly, he knows Jackson is no longer the asshole he was back in highschool but that doesn't mean they're friends.

Sure as hell doesn't mean he wants to see him or be near him.

Lydia didn't say anything because she too was confused as to why Jackson was there.

She knows that they're friends, despite the fact that they used to be lovers, but she can't imagine wanting to involve him.

However, if her future self involved him there must be a reason.

"Obviously it has something to do with Stiles" Jackson said.

He ignored the looks he was getting as he opened the fridge and started looking for something to eat.

Scott and Stiles shared a glance before looking at Lydia.

"Why is Jackson here?" Scott asked.

"What are you doing?" Stiles asked.

Jackson turned around, holding a plate with pizza in his hands, and his eyes widened when he saw Stiles.

"Oh, Stiles, you're here" Jackson said, shocked.

Stiles said nothing and stared at him with narrowed eyes.

"You seem to not like him, dad" Claudia giggled.

"Cause I don't" Stiles huffed.

"How come?" Alex asked, tilting his head to the side.

"Because back in highschool he was an asshole that treated everyone, mainly Scott and I, terribly. Not to mention most of the trouble we got ourselves in was because of him and his obsession to become a werewolf" Stiles explained.

Claudia and Alex hummed at that while Kurt rubbed his husband's shoulder comfortingly.

He's heard stories about Jackson and he's not too fond of him.

Jackson tore his eyes away from Stiles and when he saw Kurt he furrowed his eyebrows.

"Who are you?" Jackson asked.

"Kurt Hummel Stilinski" Kurt said.

"My husband" Stiles added, wrapping an arm around Kurt's waist.

Jackson's eyes widened at that and his jaw dropped.

He glanced between Stiles and Kurt and his eyes dropped down to their hands where he saw their wedding rings.

"Wow, Stiles, never thought you'd actually tie the knot. Especially to a man" Jackson chuckled.

Stiles rolled his eyes while Lydia frowned and avoided looking at her ex and his husband.

Stiles rolled his eyes while Kurt laughed and leaned in to kiss his husband on the lips.

Stiles smiled down at his beloved and kissed his temple and held him close.

Claudia and Alex smiled at their parents and the small fluffy moment they had with each other.

Lydia frowned at the married couple, she bit her lip and looked away.

She still had a hard time accepting the fact that Stiles has moved on with someone else and has started a family with that someone else.

She knows it's her own fault, she's the one that left him, but it still hurts.

Especially when she saw herself having a future and a family with him.

Before and after she left.

"Can you just answer the question?" Stiles asked, annoyed.

"Yeah, what are you doing here?" Scott asked.

"Well, firstly, Jackson prefers not to be talked about like he's not in the room. Second, well, Lydia called, begging me to help, as usual. And I said, ok, so long as she promised never to tell Ethan, because I promised Ethan that I would never come back to this nightmare hellscape of a town" Jackson explained.

Lydia sighed, annoyed, and looked at him.

"Thank you" Lydia sarcastically smiled.

"Why are you annoyed when you're the reason he's there?" Santana asked, confused and amused.

Lydia didn't say anything and just shrugged her shoulders.

Jackson set his plate of pizza down and looked at the papers.

"Oh, I love these games" Jackson smiled.

He went to grab one of the papers but Chris was quick to grab his arm, stopping him.

"This isn't a game" Chris told him.

Jackson raised an eyebrow at him.

"I have claws that drip paralytic venom, and a tail that'll snap your neck. So take your hand off of me, old man" Jackson sternly said.

He pulled his arm out of Chris's grip and grabbed the papers and his plate of pizza.

A few people couldn't help but laugh at seeing Jackson grab his pizza to continue eating.

"Honestly, same" Sam chuckled.

"I know right" Finn nodded.

Jackson crouched down and started laying out the papers as the others walked over to see what he was doing.

Jackson spent a few minutes rearranging and laying out all the papers in a way that made it looked like it was connected before standing up.

There, laid out on the was the word bardo forming the shape of a tree stump with bardo written in the middle.

Everyone's eyes widened at what they were seeing.

"Holy shit" Stiles muttered.

The pack's eyes widened at what they were seeing.

The drawing not only had the name Bardo written in the middle but the drawing was of the nemeton.

Something they never thought they would see again.

Meanwhile, the ones from Lima Ohio were a little creeped out by the drawing but also a little fascinated.

Even though they wanted more answers to what it could mean.

Eli, on the other hand, couldn't help but narrow his eyes at the drawing while tilting his head to the side.

He swears he's seen that tree before but he can't remember from where.

"It's a tree" Jackson told them.

"It's not just a tree. Is it?" Kurt asked, looking at the others.

"It's the Sacred Grove. The ancients Druids call it a nemeton" Lydia said.

"Well, it looks like a tree" Jackson said.

Kurt and Scott sighed, Chris rolled his eyes while Lydia glared at Jackson causing him to shrug.

"Dude, unless you want me to shoot you shut up and finish your pizza" Stiles scowled.

Jackson gave him a look while Kurt laughed in amusement as he brought his hand up to his mouth.

Everyone couldn't help but laugh at Stiles's words while Stiles grinned at his future self.

Kurt chuckled and shook his head before cupping his husbands cheek with his hand.

"No matter how much you don't like the dude, you're not shooting him" Kurt told him.

"Why not?" Stiles asked.

"I don't fancy my husband going to jail for murder and I sure as hell ain't helping you bury a body" Kurt deadpanned.

Stiles huffed, crossing his arms over his chest as a pout formed on his face.

Alex and Claudia laughed in amusement while Kurt rolled his eyes and patted his husbands cheek.

Jackson shrugged and continued eating his pizza.

Stiles rolled his eyes before pulling his husband closer to his side and leaned in to kiss his cheek.

Kurt smiled and snuggled closer to his husband's side while wrapping an arm around his waist.

Lydia watched the two of them with a frown on her face, jealousy in her eyes, before quickly looking away.

As the screen turned black, indicating that the scene they were watching was over, Lydia couldn't help but sneak a glance at Stiles.

She watched as he playfully glared at his kids for laughing at him while they raised their hands in defense.

A frown appeared on her face as she stared at him.

Before she knew an idea formed into her head.

If she wanted Stiles to talk to her, if she wanted Stiles to understand, if she wanted Stiles to listen, she would have to tell him.

By that, she means she has to tell him the reason why she left.

She has to.

She's kept in her reason for leaving for far too long and can no longer hold it in anymore.

If she wants it to be revealed she wants to be the one to reveal it.

Decision made.

She'll find it in herself to gather enough courage and talk to him and explain everything.

After all, he deserves at least that.
