CHAPTER5
♤Kiss the Rain - Piano
~Confinement~
The next day.....
(After dismissal)
After the classes ended I was going straight home because I had to go to work too, as I was passing through the corridor, a faint sound caught my attention a subtle rustle that seemed out of place in the quiet corridor.
I would normally ignore it but then I remembered that After school, I frequently found myself rescuing my classmate, Alex, who often struggles with organizing study materials. I thought it was him this time too and I had to help him as he was always so kind to me. The door, slightly ajar, invited me to peek inside, with a hesitant breath, I pushed the door open.
The room revealed itself as an eerie expanse, dimly lit by the light coming from somewhere like a window that was far from sight. Shadows danced along the walls, and the air felt heavy with an unspoken tension. The source of the sound eluded me, shrouded in the darkness that clung to the corners like a silent witness.
As I ventured further into the room, a sudden chill ran down my spine. The door, which had creaked open so invitingly, now betrayed me, slamming shut with a resounding thud. Panic set in as I fumbled for the handle, only to find it unyielding a captive in a room that seemed to swallow all traces of sound.
The initial curiosity now transformed into a palpable fear. The dim light cast elongated shadows that danced menacingly on the walls, heightening the sense of isolation. My breaths quickened, reverberating in the hollow space around me. The room, once seemingly benign, now echoed with an unsettling emptiness. I called out if anyone was there but no response...
EXTERNAL P.O.V.
In the confined darkness of the room, fear gripped her heart as she grappled with the unsettling realization that she was not alone. A shadow, eerily reminiscent of the one she had glimpsed in the dimly lit alley, began to materialize before her.
The air thickened with an unspoken threat, and her breaths quickened, in tandem with the erratic beating of her heart. Her hands were shaking badly and she tried to move, to get away from that approaching figure. She couldn't see his face. The light was so dim and gave nothing under his hood away, but she could feel the intensity of his gaze from afar.
As the shadow morphed into a familiar yet enigmatic silhouette, a chill ran down her spine. It was the same person from the alley.
The details of the figure remained obscured, playing tricks with her imagination. She couldn't make out who it was. Panic set in, weaving tendrils of uncertainty through her thoughts.
The room, once a mere backdrop to her confinement, now seemed to pulsate with an otherworldly energy. The light cast distorted shapes that danced menacingly on the walls, amplifying the sense of impending doom. The locked door stood as a barrier, a cruel reminder of her isolation, while the shadowy presence advanced, seemingly unhindered by physical constraints.
Every nerve in her body screamed with fear as she pressed herself against the unforgiving wall. The ghostly apparition mirrored her movements. A chilling silence enveloped the room, broken only by the hushed rustle of fabric and the faint echoes of her own trembling breaths.
As the shadowy figure loomed closer, the boundaries between the known and the unknown blurred, she was scared but a part of her heart felt safe by the presence like it was okay, like he had been by her side forever,But as soon as she gazed into his eyes, the dim light revealed piercing eyes that seemed to hold an unsettling familiarity.
Seeing this person upclose, A wave of recognition crashed over her, triggering memories of haunting nightmares that had visited her sleep. The eyes, a haunting reflection of those recurrent terrors, locked onto hers, sending shivers down her spine. These were the identical eyes she had been encountering in her dreams. how could she ever forget these eyes.....
And then, the thought that she was becoming normal or she could live like others evaporated as she started feeling sick to the stomach, Amilia was once again thrown in that pit of darkness where she couldn't help herself even if she wanted to.
Overwhelmed by the convergence of reality and the haunting echoes of her dreams, panic seized her like a vise. Breathing became a struggle, her chest tightening as the room itself seemed to constrict around her.
Hands trembled as the specter of her nightmares manifested before her.
The room, eerily quiet, amplified the dissonance within her, she desperately searched for a semblance of control, the world around her morphed into a surreal. The light cast unsettling shadows, adding to the disconcerting ambiance.
As she grappled with the onslaught of fear, the shadowy figure, sensing her distress, attempted to console her. A gentle voice pierced through the suffocating silence, offering reassurance like a lifeline in the abyss of her panic. Yet, the words failed to penetrate the walls of her terror, each syllable echoing the haunting whispers of her nightmares. The figure tried to touch her when she jolted and moved to the side, She could hear him say something but the words didn't penetrate through her head.
In a desperate bid to escape the encroaching dread, she recoiled from the well-intentioned comfort. Panic escalated into a frenzied escape as she stumbled backward, the room spinning in disorienting chaos. With each step, she distanced herself from the figure that had ignited her nightmares, propelled by an instinct to flee the haunting reality that threatened to engulf her.
As the door swung open, revealing a path to the unknown, she fled, leaving behind the enigmatic presence that had momentarily breached the boundaries between dreams and waking life. The echoes of her panic lingered in the vacant space, a poignant testament to the fragile line between reality and the lingering specters of her deepest fears.
The figure, left behind in the dimly lit room, stood in an aura of uncertainty. The failed attempt at consolation hung in the air like an unanswered plea.
What will be the future? Who could it be? The new transfered student?
