Donghyuck laughs when he catches Mark staring at him from across the sand.
Currently, Donghyuck was tying up his boat and making sure everything was where it was supposed to be. And Mark was following him around like a lost puppy while his grandfather was relaxing at the small library in town.
"You gonna keep staring or actually do something?" Donghyuck's golden voice breaks Mark from his daze and leaves a blush on his face. Nevertheless, he joins Donghyuck by the boat.
"What would I even do? I don't know how to tie up a boat."
Donghyuck rolls his eyes. "That's not what I meant Markie." He looks to the older boy, eyes lingering on his built frame. "You saw me shirtless, but I've never seen you shirtless. That's unfair." He pouts cutely, making Mark chuckle.
"Well it's not like you ever asked Hyuckie." He shrugs, smirking as he awaits the boy's response.
"Well you never asked either but—" he pauses and watches as Mark takes his top off, the summer sun now hitting his defined chest. "...woah..." Hyuck's voice was breathy as he drank in Mark's body.
"It was hot anyways." Mark states before jumping into the ocean, the water splashing against Donghyuck. Mark looks at him expectantly. "Not gonna join me?"
"Sh-shut up." Donghyuck takes off his own shirt and jumps off the dock and into the water. "You caught me off guard."
Mark wiggles his eyebrows. "Did my body really take your breath away?"
The tanned male narrows his eyes. "More like you stole my fucking lungs." He swims closer to Mark, splashing him softly.
Mark just laughs and grabs Donghyuck's wrist. "Come on, don't get hostile now." His smile was warm as the sun that shone down on them. "If I stole your lungs, then you stole my heart."
Donghyuck blazes up in a deep crimson, his voice stammering. "I- you-" he takes a deep breath. "Fuck that was smooth."
Mark just smiles, now turning Donghyuck around in a back hug and facing out towards the sea. "I didn't think a place as pretty as this existed."
"I swear to god Mark Lee if you say that it's prettier with-"
"It's even prettier with you though."
"Mark~" Donghyuck groans and covers his face.
"Aww Hyuckie, where'd all that confidence go?"
"You stole it along with my lungs." His voice was muffled and a small smile played on his face.
"Am I stealing your heart too?"
Donghyuck pauses and lifts his head to turn and look at Mark. His voice was barely above a whisper, but Mark heard him loud and clear. "Definitely."
The kiss didn't come too late after that. And if Donghyuck could tell you what it was like, he'd probably say it was like walking through wonderland: a whirlwind of magic.
And if Mark could tell you just how much he loved Lee Donghyuck, even a 50 page essay wouldn't be enough.

Sunhi eyes her son as he skips around the house, a large smile on his face.
"What's got you all happy today?" She asks as they sit at the kitchen counter to eat.
Donghyuck shrugs, a love struck sigh escapes his mouth. "No reason, just happy."
Sunhi raises a brow. "Sure there isn't a reason?" Donghyuck couldn't lie to her, she saw the heart eyes her son made at Mark. And if she was being honest, she really hoped that's what was making him happy.
"Just...Mark."
"Ooooo~"
Donghyuck flashes his mother a smile and begins eating, not even clarifying what happened. But Sunhi understood, and she was happy. Because Donghyuck was happy. And that's all that mattered.
