Donghyuck's soft giggles fill the quiet air around them, making Mark smile. "You're smooth, I'll say that Mark Lee."

"Runs in the family." He shrugs. Donghyuck just laughs harder. The two are still sitting on the rocks, the midnight wind blowing through their hair, making them shiver gently.

"Your mom is probably worried about you."

"Pushing me away already Markie?"

The older boy laughs. "I could never."

Donghyuck hums. "She knows I'm safe, plus she's used to me staying out here late into the night." He reassures the other, making Mark nod in understanding.

"Hey..."

"Hi."

Mark groans at Donghyuck's cheesiness. "As I was saying, can you sing?"

Donghyuck's face breaks into a large smile, his head bobbing back and forth like a dog. "Hell yeah I can. Wanna hear?"

Mark chuckles. "Sure."

Donghyuck smirks and picks his head up from Mark's shoulder. "Prepare to be amazed."

"Oh, Mark thank you so much for bringing him home." Mrs. Lee says, smiling when she sees her sleeping son clinging to Mark like a baby.

"It was no trouble ma'am, really." Mark smiles, entering the house and heading up towards Donghyuck's room. He gently places the boy down in his bed.

"I hope it wasn't hard to climb down the rocks with him asleep."

Mark turns after tucking Donghyuck in, shaking his head. "He was awake till we reached the road where he just jumped on me and promptly fell asleep." He smiles, looking at the boy's sleeping face with pure happiness. Mrs. Lee nods, her eyes glistening as she watches Mark stare at her son admiringly.

"Be good to him alright?"

"Huh?"

"Be good to my son, he truly deserves the best."

Mark smiles and stands. "That's all I plan on giving him."

"aYo aYo!" Donghyuck comes bounding down the stairwell, his large gray tie-dye shirt looking like a dress on him, and his cargo pants sagging a bit. "Morning mom!"

Mrs. Lee laughs with her bright son. "What's got you all happy this morning?"

"Today's the 15th, which means the boats are out all day."

His mother gasps, her face lighting up. "Oh my goodness, you're right! Do you want to go on the water this year?"

"Yes please." Donghyuck sits at the counter, his mother placing a plate of noodles and rice in front of him.

"Alright, eat up first and then we'll head to the docks."

The young boy smiles, his cheeks puffed with rice, and his eyes closing like crescents. "Sounds perfect mom."

Mrs. Lee smiles and places her own plate next to her son. She turns the stove off and takes a seat, smirking as she watches her son eat.

He turns to her and raises a brow. "What? Is there something on my face?"

"So you jumped on him and fell asleep?" Her smirk only grows when Donghyuck's face reddens.

"Sh-shut up! I was tired!"

She hums. "Mhm, I'm sure you were."

"Shut up!"

But Mrs. Lee only laughs.
