Backstory: Jaz is a Native American descendant.Her father's a firefighter and her mother's a police officer. One day, when her father was called in for a wild fire, she tagged along with her older brother Walt. They were trying to get a family of 4 out of the woods when a giant wave of flames started to descent over them. Her brother sacrificed his emergency fireproof blanket for the set of twins they were saving. Jaz tried to do the same but was pulled into her blanket by her father just in time. The only one who lost a life was her brother. She keeps a picture of him in her pocket and a feather that he loved in her hair.
